OK, at first I just smiled at this (sniping lesson "date")but the more I think about it, that could actually work really really well .  Because then you'd still have some non-dialogue gameplay.  You would have various sniping challenges, all the while getting advice and flirt dialogue from Garrus.  Maybe your performance affects what he says.  I might want to there to be more to it than only the sniping lesson, but that would be a cute and funny overall theme, and extremely appropriate for their relationship


Also when someone linked to the romance pack Kotaku article, I first thought it was going to be that "Romance Pack" thread from these very forums.  I can't find the link to it, google sucks and is inundated with this news article now instead.  Basically it was just some fan who suggested this very thing, but in great detail of how it would work.  I wonder if the devs...took a page out of his book?  I guess they could just as easily come up with the idea on their own after observing how much love is out there for the LIs.  But if not, that OP should be proud.

I think it would make sense for them to put more dialogue before for people who are NOT romancing certain characters. My man-shep would happily speak to Garrus if he wasn't always damn busy. I would not object to more friendship-type dialogue to make this pack valuable to players who aren't interested in romance, or who arent' interested in romancing certain characters.



As for more romance-related dialogue I think it would make more sense to put it afterwards, so it's not breaking up the flow of the story we've already seen which seemed to flow quite well from an initial offer, to a questioning of that offer, to making good on that offer (or having shep back out last minute but who here would do that to poor Garrus?)

You could just ask politely.  There are some good comics in there, in addition to the more questionable pictures.  You could also stare at them together and laugh at some of the more impossible depictions.

After all, it is only a game, and they are just pictures.  No Turians were harmed in the making of the folder.

But, yeah...I guess that's my kind of perfect "date" between Shepard and Garrus. It could even work platonically, imo.

You know...I attempted to write a fic a year or so back that was that kind of situation. Garrus was trying to show Vanguard Shepard the advantage of distance in combat as she took pot shots at the Shifty Looking Cow. The fic was canned once I realized how much I dislike my own writing.

Speaking of fics, the text file in the folder is a mixed bag of awesome with a dash of hilarious...

I like the idea of it being more like a mission than a date. Some sort of errand or goal to accomplish. Something hopefully unique to each of the LIs.

I'd love to see more added on to the romances, especially Garrus's. Although that might just be because I chose him as my LI. *cough*



Anyway, I could see it as at least being partly a mission. That way players could have both a new romance/romance-related scene and more gameplay. Win on both accounts.



Also, did anyone else see that Brandon Keener was in a commercial for that Fidelity insurance? I tried to look it up on YouTube, but I couldn't find it.

These Garrus MVs are actually quite amazing, it makes use of the clips quite well, and even coordinates with the song.

I'm not sure what I'd like for Garrus's romance pack, if it did exist, there's so many things I'd like to have.

I think for DLC I'd enjoy more options for current squad members (especially Tali and Garrus) instead of tacking on another random person. I all ready got my boy Garrus (best intro in ME2), the pure awesome that is Tali, and the totally epic speed freak Mordin. Why do I need more people??

The fabled magic folder is a collection of many Garrus-centric pics including comics, funny pics, serious pics...and erm....yeah, more steamy afternoon delights that are NSFW. The more mature pics are located in the folder aptly named "ahem" and...ahem, you dun have to look through it. If you are not deterred, behold the magic folder.

Actually most of the pics are pretty awesome/tame.  There is a separate "ahem" folder you can just delete or not look at if you don't like the smut.    Scroll up a bit for links.

I've got the magic folder and all, and I quite like everything inside it, even the more... sensitive material. It's all amazing, in my opinion.

I just checked out the folder. There is a lot of really amazing art in there- and I give total kudos because I'm guessing Turians are so hard to draw in general. Also, appreciated the vid clip of Garrus when you first get to him on Omega. That is one my favorite scenes.
