Garrus as a gay romance? Honestly I disagree to that. He seems too manly to do that. Even if he does give the same lines I bet a male would interpret it differently. For a male it would be just being friends as for a female it would probably mean flirting IMO. I have nothing against a gay relationship in the game or anything but I don't want Garrus to have a gay romance.

If the option for same sex relations was in the game, I can somehow picture Garrus being attracted to maleShep. Blowing off steam with his only friend left in the galaxy. He never considered cross-species intercourse, so he probably never considered same sex intercourse. But of course I have no idea of his thoughts on homosexuality. I'm curious about the opinions on homosexuality in the Mass Effect universe.

Thane, on the other hand... well, he could be part of The Village People in the 20th century. It's fun to stay with my S I H A :police::whistle:

The bizarre thing about Thane's romance is that he actually sounds like he's calling me by name.  Sia IS my IRL nickname.

I'm sorry, but it sounds like you are assuming all gay romance is about manly men getting it on with girly men? Or that manly men don't consider other manly men at all attractive?  I refer you to the Ancient Romans, whose society has the most in common with the Turians, and who never had a problem with m/m romance or just straight up m/m sex.

The main problem that I have with Garrus and m/m sex is that if cross-species bodily fluids really do cause  allergic reactions and/or irritation, than it would be incredibly dangerous.

But the priiiiize....:wizard:

Thanks for telling. Next time he calls me Siha I'll get pissed because he's mistaking me for someone else.

Gwah, Daewan! You beat me to the Ancient Rome comparison. Besides, what is the fanboy mantra? Say it with me:

"It's not gay if it's Garrus."

I'm firmly in the camp of, while I wouldn't be interested in having a Sheploo to romance Garrus (heck, I'm really never gonna make a man-Shep, that's all there is to it. Jennifer Hale's voice is the shizzle.) doesn't mean I'd object to them having put it in for those who would. As much as I love Garrus, I can only imagine others love him as much, too.
Anyway, back to rushing through missions on ME2 so I can romance mah boy! Screw all the rest of you and your loyalty missions. I'm not sure I'm even going to do Miranda's, since she's gonna live anyway. Or maybe I will and then side with Jack this time.

Edit: Typo-licious!

If Garrus is nothing but a cameo, whatever location the military has sent us to live at the time of ME3's release will bear a striking resemblance to Virmire after my rage explodes my head. I can honestly say if he's not a squad mate, there will be no point in buying it. The Reapers can frikkin' HAVE the galaxy if I can't have my turian studmuffin watchin' my six.

I won't get into my theories on the future of the squad mates but I will say that I'm pretty sure Bioware is wanting ME3 to be legendary. And you can't have legendary without the G-man. Just sayin'.

You must really be a wonderful woman.

"Seriously, Thane, I know she must've been great, but do you really have to remind me during sexytime?"

Everyone will be pissed. He MUST return in ME3. I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be there in the final. In fact, I don't see any reason why most of the squad mates should leave when we're finally facing the Reapers. Sure, they can all die, but I think hope Bioware will find a way to keep them all as squad mates. Garrus had your back until now, it makes no sense if he only gets a cameo in ME3.

Geez... 2011 sound too far away.

I want Garrus in ME3. I may enjoy it remotely without him, but I will be amazingly annoyed if he's not in it. I love him to bits, and I don't want him gone. I'm sure Bioware will do it, if they made Garrus an LI due to the fans, they can't possibly hope to get any support for removing Garrus in ME3.

I'd make myself a girl for Garrus. Seriously.

Hmm, I don't want to go off topic, but how Paragon do you need to be to make Miranda happy again if you side with Jack in the argument? It's constantly blacked out, and I want her loyal again for the suicide mission.

A confusion with one's nickname or partner's dead wife would make an interesting comedic situation anytime.

Perhaps they're going to have all of ME1 and ME2 on your squad, and those that didn't survive have "backup" characters to replace them, so if, um, Thane died then another drell will replace him and such. It's unlikely, and just an idea, but that could happen.

There are some squad mates I can see leaving, even some of the LI's that you DIDN't romance leaving, but Garrus?  Or Tali?  Leave Shepard?  They'd have to be dead.

If they haven't been romanced, they're BFFs.  Just not gonna happen.

They are planning on keeping the same teams in me3 in what i heard. There is almost no reason for garrus to be sent away from the normandy, he has no where else to go or at least where he wants to go in the least. Shepard is pretty much his only friend in the galaxy (that is....if he hasn't been mingling with the other crew)

Thane is very romantic in game and I enjoy the nickname he gives you... but the dead wife thing is just weird. Not only is he going to decide to be unfaithful to his dead wife when he only has 8 months to live. (Time he should be spending with his son) he calls me by the same nick name he called her. That is just creepy, it is ashame bioware pushed more for his romance than Garrus. (The holding hands when you talk, you are still together after rejecting him on sex night.)

I know it is a game but even when I did my "thane" run I still felt like a homewrecker when I romanced him.

I don't think they would risk pissing off that many fans.  Heck, the Talimancers would march on Edmonton.

As long as I can have garrus and tali by my side, the reapers won't have a chance.

If they scrap the team again, 90% of ME2 will be pointless. I really can't see them doing that, but i can't help but be nervous.

I don't see them starting over with new people. They will just mix ME1 and 2 people together. ( ex: Wrex and Jack)
They may add in one new person to help the plot but nothing like what they did in 2 I would hope.

ok garrus fans, if you could have an after-mission dialogue with gar, what would you want him and shep to say?

I really just want some confirmation of feelings from both Garrus and Shepard. If BioWare gives me that, I'll be satisfied.

...And sure I'd like to know how the sex was too (I'd like to think it was a night to treasure and not a horrible interspecies awkwardness thing), but I don't want the majority of the conversation to focus on that.
