MarginalBeast: To clarify, we are being totes silly. :P The realist in me sees more of a "standardized" scene fit for any two LIs to confront each other/you, with only the dialogue changing.

There are several scenes, however, which give me hope. Garrus tossing Harkin around, the two Blood Pack mercs on Omega you save Patriarch from (FemShep kicks the flamethrower out of his fricking hand!), the VIP room in Afterlife with the turian (not sure why they "off-screened" one and then showed you taking on the other). It could be done, and while not strictly easy, not impossible by any stretch.

Make my idea happen bioware! like I said, every LI will have their own unique versions of that first romance scene, they all establish that they are a couple and they all have that 'hold that thought' feel to it.

Um, ok I know it was probably hyperbole for sake of argument but this thread doesn't *really* talk about turian genitals THAT much, and half of the references have been jokes poking fun at someone who complained about it in the first place.  It's the internet.  It's not always gonna be exactly what you want to see.

In my opinion, this thread is actually pretty respectful of people's preferences in that 90% of the time the topic of turian naughty bits comes up it is just innuendo, I don't recall an explict 18+ pic ever being posted here, honestly not even a link, except to the magic folder, which if you downloaded it that was voluntary and you only have yourself to blame. This is an M rated game and most of us here are adults according to our impromptu poll recently.

Even when adult topics are discussed it is always in a good-natured manner, not perverted or twisted, and hardly forced upon any one.  That is what the scroll button is for. If you don't like it you don't have to reply.  Start another topic.  If you are underage well welcome to the real world.  Again it's an M rated game and the forum has censors.  No one is forced to visit this thread against their will.  I don't think people should have to tiptoe around just because there MIGHT be a 15 year old on the internet OH NOES. Sex is a part of life.  There's nothing wrong with us discussing it from time to time.

...Wow, a lot of posts. I'm going to have to catch up on my reading!

Oh, and the sparring session between Garrus and Fem!Shep should go like this.

...ahem. (Also: Morena Baccarin)

I don't know if I actually see a confrontation scene between Garrus, Kaidan or Liara happening. The "consequences" of cheating on the Mass Effect LI seem to be clear to me: you won't be able to rekindle your relationship with them if you "cheat" on them. Shepard consciously turns the picture of his/her love interest from the first game face down. That may not seem like much, but that told me that Shepard has decided to move on. Maybe I'm reading too much into that.

It's not that I'm opposed to the idea of a confrontation, I just don't see it being a likely scenario (given the action Shepard takes of turnning the portrait face down) and I don't see it being particularly in character for any of the female LIs (Some of the Male LIs on the other hand have more...fiery personalities). Garrus may care a lot for Fem!Shep, but I don't think he'd fume over Fem!Shep picking Kaidan or Liara since he himself suggests finding something closer to home. It's obvious that he'd be hurt by it, but I'm not sure he'd be super angry about it. I also sincerely doubt Kaidan or Garrus would pick a fight with one another. Kaidan is too level headed and Garrus wouldn't pick fights with people who haven't broken the law.

...then again, Kaidan did break the bro-code--a capital offense.

Ok, Garrus artists, I need help. The work I have is very NSFW, it's very not for the "I get squidged seeing alien or people nekkidness, and the artist (that would be me) is about to burn the damn thing because I can't get it to work.

If you'd like to help me, then PM me, or look me up on Deviantart (silentstephi there, SURPRISE SURPRISE XD) and comment/help/save me from burning something involving Garrus because my pencilis going asjgsjgafjhdgasjhgd.

I really should be asleep, but it's Saturday nightSunday morning and my mom isn't here to yell at me (plus I wasn't sure my 8 year old scanner would still work... and it was gonna give me nightmares.)

Don't give up on it!

Since I am not confident enough in my own skills to give specific advice...I'll just say put the pencil down...come back to it in a while and try again.

Is there anything specific that you'd like to see become a reality for that piece? Like...how would you like Garrus' arms positioned?

Dang, Justice League was pretty hot sometimes.  I need to watch more episodes.

And I hadn't really considered the emotional implications of turning the picture over beyond "I don't want to see your face while I'm gettin it on with mah strange."  I think if it were a more definite indication of Shepard's transition, it seems to me that she/he would change the picture or get rid of it all together.

Putting all joking aside, I really doubt there will be any more than a few smart words from the jilted LI in regards to Shep's "cheating". I do think you're on to something, Ray as far as not getting rid of the picture completely. Probably means we'll be presented with another choosing scenario ala ME1 but with a twist because of the whole "consequence" thing...UGH I need a time machine, stat. The waiting is already killing me! *sigh* Off to write more fanfics I guess.

I'd also like to add Garrus. Not to mention Garrus. Oh, and uh...yeah, Garrus.

PS! My art skillz r phail but don't give up, Steph! STAY AWAY FROM THE MATCHES.

Sorry to add to the underage fire, but I admit that I'm a 15 year old, and I couldn't care less what's being talked about here, I even join in with the discussion, because it's interesting. And it's not pleasant being talked about, being called "the/a 15 year old". And it's not as if we don't know this stuff exists.

I appreciate that you're concerned about underage people, and our parents and other carers may be too, but we're not the only people who could be uncomfortable by such talks, so I don't think it's fair to hone in with a "think of the children". I guess my mind's pretty scarred and twisted in some ways, so I may not be the ideal example, but I don't like the image that we shouldn't be allowed to talk about this purely because of the innocent underage brats like me. Let us make our own judgements, it's not hard to skip a page or a post on the internet or cover your eyes, or not click the download. I enjoy the talk and downloads, worrying as that may be, but it's not as if it's creepy, in-depth perverted stuff, it's quite on the surface and light-hearted.

By the way, I didn't need to lie to sign up, the site accepted me even though I stated my correct birthday. And Mass Effect 2 was rated 15 when I got it here in England.

Anyhow, sorry about that, back to Garrus.

I don't think BioWare is going to make a full-scale conflict with the LI you cheated on and your current one, perhaps it's going to be like the romance conflict when you've got more than one possible romance in ME2, or maybe like in ME1 when the two confront you after a mission and talk about choosing somebody.

I think the act of turning down a picture of a loved one suggests that you don't want to look at their face due to guilt, or other feelings that cause you to feel that you don't want to look at their face, but doesn't necessarily mean you're outright rejecting them.

My drawing skills are crap, and I often prefer to express my Garrus-fan-ish-ness in writing, but as everybody says, don't give up silentstephi, you can do it, and try to clearly think about what you want your final product to look like, and work towards it slowly. You don't have to do it all at once.

And, I just thought, I spoiled that Archangel was Garrus for myself, and I haven't even got ME1, but how did everybody else react when Archangel took off his helmet and revealed he was Garrus?

(Gaah, doesn't that suck when you spoil a big plot point for yourself in a game like that?  I completely wrecked the huge twist in KOTOR for myself years ago and I am still kicking myself for it.  I also ruined a surprising twist in the middle of Thief 2 because I was trying to watch some of the cutscenes on my PC but they were numbered funny and I watched the wrong one.  DUH.)

Anyway, I actually was expecting to see Garrus under there, but I didn't figure it out until I either overheard a conversation or was having a conversation with someone and they mentioned that Archangel was a turian.  I already knew Garrus was in the game somewhere, so I just put the pieces together (and then when I read his profile, about his Omni-tool and sniper skills, I knew it would be him).  I was so happy to see him!!

Yeah, well, I got spoiled too. Did it too myself. :( We didn't have the funds to buy ME2 right away, DH had already gotten to play it at my brother's house, and I have this problem with being patient....

I did see the pic sequence alternating the reveal and some guys' reactions (don't know if they're 100% genuine or where they were taken, but enh). That kind of made up for it. =^_^= Also, on my 'ideal' playthrough, it rekindled the mystery in a way, b/c that Shepard had held out for her favorite turian. Imagine her delighted surprise at finding him so quickly.

Feh. My hubby spoiled it for me. We weren't able to get ME2 right away but he had been following it and made an offhand comment about Garrus coming back to be in the squad and how you "pick him up on a place called Omega. He's romanceable BTW." I was so excited but when I realized it was supposed to be a surprise I was just like FFFFFUUUUUUU-- I am probably the most anti-spoiler person ever. I cloister myself when a new game I really want comes out til I can get my hands on it. Needless to say, I got first dibs. =D

I didn't have ME1, so I didn't connect with Garrus too much. I just looked at his character, thought, "Nice, I like," and then I found out he was playable in both ME1 and 2, and thought "Awesome," but I guess it does suck that I spoiled it.

Well, I guess we spoiled it, but I guess the main point is that we get to see Garrus again, and we get all sorts of excited.

aynxalot, is this the picture?

I always can't seem to be bothered to find the pictures on the internet, so I end up constantly uploading from the folder. It really is quite comprehensive.

Hmm.. well.. lots of catching up to do. Boo for real life and catching a cold. At any rate, I do want to say a) internal/sheathed with plates and B) not shaped like a human's. I have two degrees in Animal Science, there is no way I'm going to believe an avian/reptilian-ish species (yes, I realize there's no true Earth equivalent) is going to have a shape like a human male.

Hey Flammie, hope you didn't think I was singling you out in my post when I mentioned "15 year olds OH NOES."  It was really supposed to be more calling out people who aren't even underage themselves using potential teens on the thread as an excuse to call for censorship, which I strongly disagreed with. I think 15 year olds are plenty old enough to make their own decisions around here...

Anyway, so, Garrus.  Even though I wasn't spoiled on Archangel being Garrus, I feel like I missed out on the happily-shocked reaction most people describe.  I had always assumed from ME1 that he would be in ME2 (at the very least as a cameo).  I never spent time on the forums before so I didn't know he wasn't confirmed or whatnot. It just seemed logical fo Bioware to keep him.  So when he took off his helmet, rather than being surprised, I almost felt silly for not having expected it was Garrus from the moment they tell you he's a turian.  Like "oh...DUH. I'm an idiot."

I have a Bachelor's in Animal Science and did my graduate thesis for a Veterinary Science degree, and while you are probably right, I am going to disagree with you...just because I would much rather believe the alternative! LOL :P

But you have no problem in believing that Asari look like a blue human babes, all aliens are bipedal and so on ? It's a game and I doubt earth veterinary science apply, for all we know Turian females can have boobs. If Wrex says Turians have nuts, then I say they have nuts:D

For all you concerned about the well-being of 15 year olds: few posts on a forum with a word "penis" won't destroy their psyche. Teenagers are not that fragile and probably know that people don't grow in a cabbage.

I actually loathe that Bioware made Asari look like human females and would love for them to come out and say that, while Asari have about the same height and mass as an average human female, they do secrete some kind of hormones or whatever, to make other species fill in the gaps as to the rest of their looks. You would see an Asari as female regardless of your own gender due to them actually being female ('monogendered' does not mean 'no gender', but don't get me on that bit >.<). It won't happen, but ah well.

I hope Turian females don't have breasts. I'd want to punch every one I see.

And I'm not saying Turian males don't have testicles, I'm sure they do ;). Birds have them, after all, it's just that they're neither shaped nor arranged like a human male's.

Edit: Oh, and regarding bipedalism, Hanar and Rachni aren't bipedal :D. Really, though, I do think bipedalism is too prevalent for my tastes. I'd greatly prefer a couple of extra limps for some sentient aliens (shifty looking cow, anyone? :D).

I'm not going to go ape sh!t if turian and drell wommenz have boobs, since Quarians/Asari do.  I know the Asari were created as fan service, I know the Quarians... well we supposed to be space chickens? (Some comment I heard a awhile back) but honestly, it's aliens.  We can speculate a lot with what's here on Earth, and make as many quivilant theories as we want... but all in all, we'll still probably respond to what's familiar.  And I won't mind it.

I'll be super impressed if Turian women end up boobless.  I doubt drell women will be boobless (because Thane/Koylat look so man-like.)

As long as the biology doesn't detract from the story, I'll be happy.  I was a little put out with the whole dextro/levo thing, especially since it hit the two LI's man fans were squeeing for, but while Tali's got her own issues, with a busted immune system...  I think too many people go waaaaaaaay over board on the dextro/levo deal with Shep and Garrus.

Honestly... way overboard.  It's one thing, Mordin says COULD cause a reaction.  There are so many allergins out there... anaphalyxic shock is the extreme body goes into hyperdrive.  Everyone has a mild reaction to something most of the time (ex, I have 0 allergies, cept for one, to coedein, and even then I only get hives, not AS) so when I see people start freaking out in fics or something about it, I have to /facepalm and walk away slowly.  Thena gain, fic wise, it could be just their Shepard.  But I will cradle my "if you can survive that batarians swill, then obviously something has changed and you can survive a little turian love." :bandit:

I agree completely with you there. I don't think a mere kiss is going to cause an allergic reaction (as has been written in some fanfics, though that didn't deter me from finishing the stories :) ), but I could be wrong *shrugs*.

Well, having had anaphalaxis... I can say it's nothing like the fics have described. And you don't die from it. You CAN, but not usually, especially if treated right away.

As far as the asari, Neria Rose, go listen in on the bachelor party in the Eternity Bar on Ilium. I think it's a red herring, but it might not be. If asari really mind controlled the other races, they'd look WAY different when you killed them and their control ended.
