Well, by "random female turian" I didn't actually mean "random". If she was relevant to the plot in some way, and you had the option of pairing her off with Garrus if you weren't romancing him, then fine. It might be a little weird since Garrus doesn't seem one to pursue serious romantic relationships (unless it's with Shepard because she's extraordinary and close to him already), but whatever.

But I would hate it if they introduced a brand new character solely to be the potential love interest of another character. Do. Not. Want. Thankfully I don't think the writers would go through the trouble of that for any squadmember in ME2 since they can all die and playing match-maker is really not important.

Do you think we'll ever see female turians? I really, really, really hope so.

I really hope so too. I always imagined them as having a fringe that curves downward, for no particular reason, but not as harshly as that edited concept art.

Just to put it into context, Kal x Tali feels like Jack x Garrus to me.

Hey look, you did make it on-topic! That's an awfully funny comparison to make, though.

Just to show the no chemistry thing. Unless you think Jack and Garrus have chemistry...?

Did you pick up on my Jack/Garrus ship?

I've never heard of anyone pairing them. Or I might have and that is why I chose that one in particular. Still seems strange.

Well, it really is an odd comparison since at the very least Kal'Reegar and Tali have actual dialogue together. If they didn't, then I doubt the pairing would be nearly as popular as it is.

If you're looking for an interesting pairing, check out Rock Steady. It's a Jack/Thane pairing, it's written really well (and the Garrus bits are pretty funny too XD)

Jacob and Garrus spoke too.

Okay now this is something I have to read!

...For Garrus, of course. Why else would I read it? :bandit:

They're also, as far as know, both straight, and have no prior connections to one another.

We have no idea of Kal's orientation, and the only way that Kal is connected to Tali is that he was a soldier on Haestrom.
I mean I could go on here for Garrus... Ashley...Dr. Michel... I wonder how the Thane and Jack fanfiction would sit with the Thane fangirls. Could be an interesting social experiment.

I doubt they'd care. Why would they? In fact, the only people I've seen reccomend Thane/Jack fanfiction are Thane fangirls.

Damn it, now I'm wondering what kind of instruments/music turians would create/play.  Would they sing?  They probably dance...

... GAH.

Ashley: "You're with Cerberus now? Garrus, too?"
Garrus: "Banana hammocks!"
Everyone else: *stares*
Garrus: "...what, you mean that isn't an appropriate human response with obscene words to call her out on her unacceptable behavior?"

Now now, they do only have 3 fingers so one of them has to support the neck, while there are only 2 fingers left to play on the strings, but they can be really all cool and tap the strings on the other hand instead of picking.

Well, my college roommate was a huge George Thorogood fan, and she said people refer to him as "3-chord George", so maybe...?

But there has to be one finger holding the neck, while there are 2 left. Only 2 options, power chords or tapping. I can imagine garrus getting advice from one of the crewmates who happens to be a musician, and he goes to shepard's room trying to play a guitar.

OK, I can imagine those 3 fingers getting put to *much* better use than playing a guitar

...but seriously.
I have to be at work in like 6 hours but my depraved mind is preventing me from being in bed.

Playing catch-up here:
You don't have to be social to command respect. You can be "anti-social" and still be personable (not calling Garrus anti-social, just pointing something out). Garrus doesn't seem the type that gets into personal relationships often. And I vaguely remember it being mentioned in game that even his squad didn't know much about him.

I guess there's one thing that made me think "Oh...Tali and Kal could work." There was a conversation they had on the Flotilla where he keeps calling her "ma'am." It was just so cute. At this point, I don't think one views the other in an attractive sense, but once even just one of them does...the relationship changes forever. Similar to how some would say Shepard and Garrus' relationship works.

Garrus: It was the Mabari. I swear.
