I don't know, but I'm doing the same thing.  Very hard to stick with it.

Did you already have some romance conversations with Garrus yet? The breaking-up option only comes up when you're flirting with 2 or more at the same time.

Yes I did Cerryd ... I already got the heat sink line and then went to dump Jacob but somehow I can't do it? =(

I think you have to get to the "Definitely, part of me still thinks we're crazy..." line. Then Jacob will complain about 'the turian'.

In my Garrus romance play through, I could never dump Jacob. He always kept telling me, "Let me know when the turian steps aside," or something like that.

I know right?? I'm playing as an Infiltrator now and it's way too easy even on insanity. But Garrus compliments me on my headshots When he isn't stealing my kills <_<

Oh, wait, I'm wrong. The last one you romance won't complain about others. The first one will comment about you flirting with others. You should flirt with Garrus first, then flirt with Jacob. Garrus will say he doesn't want to jeopardize the mission with a stupid love triangle and the only thing Jacob can think of is the priiiize. At that point you can dump Jacob for Garrus.

At least, I think so. I'm pretty sure the last one you chat up doesn't care/know about your other options.

I have heard that you can take Jacob to your room, then reject him, then romance Garrus AFTER the suicide mission, but I've not had it verified.

Are you sure NONE of the options you give Jacob dissuade him? From what I remember, even in early flirtation stages, it took a bit of effort to turn him down (after the we've got a good thing going here, Shepard...)



I'm currently doing my 'Staying true to Kaiden' playthrough. It is hard going though! Every time Garrus talks to me with that velvety voice, and that sexy visor, I'm like 'LOVE YOU!'

No, he just tells me "come back when you're sure you're not serious about the turian" and then the conversation breaks off, just like that. Maybe I have to talk to Garrus first and then come back??

Yeah, I heard you can do all three romances in one game. Flirt with everyone, one of them will visit you before the suicide mission, break up with him/her after the mission, go to the next LI, confirm you want him/her, you get the romance scene, break up, go to the next LI, confirm, romance. I haven't done this myself so I'm not sure, but that's what I read somewhere.

I'm not going to try it either, I only want Garrus

I laugh my ass off everytime I see that scene, hahaha, got to love that good old Jacob Taylor, but really I blame Femshep for that romantic train wreck. Why couldn't she act more like she did with the Garrus love intrest, you know like, not a total skank.

FemShep flirts all the time. It's kinda her thing. But she has been dead for 2 years. Jacob is the first man she sees. She is all like 'yespleasesomeofthatthanks', but then Garrus comes a walking in, and He Completes Her. (and she him).

Seriously though, give Jacob and Old Spice commercial. Stat!
