Nah, you romanced them in the wrong order (Jacob first and Garrus second, it should be the other way around). I'm afraid you'd have to start over to get the cuttlebone comment. Science is hard

Garrus is the only character that Bioware has not ruined for me. He is the only one for my Shep. My only regret is taking so long to realize that.

I'm pretty sure it does...if it doesn't, I'd think Bioware was poking fun at all the arguments about a Mass Effect movie.

However...I think that even if you have a black Shepard, the ad will have a white actor.

I'm currently doing my 'Staying true to Kaiden' playthrough. It is hard going though! Every time Garrus talks to me with that velvety voice, and that sexy visor, I'm like 'LOVE YOU!'

I failed with that goal already. As soon as the sparring conversation with Garrus happened and wow as to where that went.... Kaidan took a backseat. And she really liked him. I then tried again, intending to either wait for Kaidan or be with Thane... that didn't go well. The only way I managed to NOT get involved with Garrus, was to not talk to him. I am going to play a third time, don't know if I can resist Garrus, even for the continuity of the Kaidan Shep.

How wonderful to have someone around who is so irresistible... thank you BW. <3

The Mass Effect movie. That would be horrible, I don't want any movies made about it IMO. Movies based on games always fail. they never get things right. I hope that idea burns and disappears forever. I hate video games about movies and movies about video games.

I cheated on Kaidan too. It was somewhat justified after Horizon however I feel bad about cheating on him. He still said a lot of things he shouldn't have, he practically dumped Shepard and left a big hole in her heart. Although even if he didn't do that he'd still get cheated. However ironically I'm going to save him on Virmire with my female Adept. I don't know I just liked him better than Ashley.

Yes I know, however I have heard that some guy secured the rights to produce a movie. Plus I've seen plenty of threads discussing it. I don't think Mass Effect should be bastardized with a crappy movie.

it by having 2 playthroughs at once, one with only Garrus and one with
faithful to Kaidan. Of course, in the latter one I'm getting flirty
with Kelly just so I have something to occupy my ship-time. I'm also
being incredible eee-vile on that one. For some reason that puts a real
damper on the Garrus romance- probably because he makes me want to be a
better person. ../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png I feel so sad when he makes little comments about my Renegade's behavior.... "Well, harsh, but I guess he deserved it...." "He's not going to make it if we don't help him...." etc.

The second playthrough, I went up to a definite "branch" point, where I could continue with Garrus, stay faithful to Kaidan or be with Thane, before pursuing anything. The idea was to load from there and pursue different paths. Somehow, I think I'd do better starting from the top, even if extra time is involved. (Also, not sure if I'd max out on save points since they all branch off from the same instance, although meant to result in different end files.)

Renegade: I did that some and it did help but his comments yanked on my heartstrings and conscience...great evolution to have him help me with that, as I helped him on the first Normandy.

So you have two careers, one for each romance path? (Kelly is a good diversion and fish feeder.)

His email helped some but he still was unkind on Horizon; there are many things he could have said in addition to reacting to the Cerberus presence and not giving her a chance to respond. I still saved him on my achieve level 60 ME1 playthrough after first ME2 PT and still like him.

I'm so curious as to how this all plays out in ME3.  I want a chance to respond to things he said -and didn't say- on Horizon. And, I want Garrus.

How many of you are you going to start ME3 with a ME2 PT in which Garrus is your <3? clarification: I mean as your first ME3 PT?

The idea of a ME movie drives me so nuts. Half of the advantage of the video game medium is that you can do all kinds of crazy **** without spending zillions of dollars on CGI and models. Since ME is all computer-generated, there's no difficulty integrating CG characters with human actors--which would be a huge mess in a movie (asari could be real actors, but krogan and turian have way too different shapes). The cost of building and animating all of those models would be astronomical, and it wouldn't even look that good in the end! Sure, there was Avatar--but Avatar only had to render one alien species in extreme detail. It was also Space Fern Gully. I don't want Mass Effect to be Space Fern Gully (also, I resent it for forcing a title change on a movie I'm looking forward to far more).

And even if they managed to get over the alien CGI hump for a big-budget movie, there's the problem of voice actors. They don't look like the characters, but the characters aren't the same without them. Kaidan's not Kaidan without Raphael Sbarge coming out of his mouth, and Sbarge doesn't look like a marine at all. And I don't even know if half the VAs have the acting chops to be on the big screen; they certainly have vocal talent, but the two types of acting are completely different animals.

And what would you even make a Mass Effect movie about?! The trilogy? So, you copy the script from the game, cram it into two hours, and make it non-interactive. Congrats, you've sucked all the fun parts out of Mass Effect.

I remember the first time I saw turians I thought to myself, "Damn, that sure isn't a rubber forehead alien." They just couldn't pull it off with today's technology. (see that clever pulling things back on topic?)

/rant. Sorry to go off, but the idea just frustrates me so much.

For my male shep, i am probably going to play it out with ashley. With my femshep though, definitely garrus.
