His email helped some but he still was unkind on Horizon; there are many things he could have said in addition to reacting to the Cerberus presence and not giving her a chance to respond. I still saved him on my achieve level 60 ME1 playthrough after first ME2 PT and still like him.

I'm so curious as to how this all plays out in ME3.  I want a chance to respond to things he said -and didn't say- on Horizon. And, I want Garrus.

How many of you are you going to start ME3 with a ME2 PT in which Garrus is your <3? clarification: I mean as your first ME3 PT?

I agree, I hope Shepard can tell him that he practically dumped her in Horizon, while Garrus always stayed loyal no matter what organization she was working with. I hope that it doesn't really do anything bad to him though. I'm still saving him with my new female Adept though, I like him better than Ashley, no romance this time though. Plus those things shouldn't be said on an e-mail, if he's going to apologize then he should do it in person through a hologram or meeting with Shepard.

However I can't blame him with that, that was BioWare being lazy. The E-mail system sucks, the only impact your other choices in ME1 did was to get an e-mail from a guy or a useless conversation like Fist and Helena Blake. There should've been more.

I want to start with one where I am emphatically with Garrus, no matter what Kaidan says. If BioWare does a good job, that won't be easy, yet it will be so worth it.

Did you start with ME1 PTs where Kaidan was always your LI? When you say dumped Kaidan, what do you mean? Dumped him in ME1 or in speaking to him on Horizon somehow?

Did you have Garrus with you on Horizon? He sticks up for you with Kaidan, which is lovely and fits what you said about his loyalty regardless of Cerberus. Cerberus are horrible (replaying ME1 and Kahoku's death had me sad and angry all over again) yet this is Shepard.

Those emails were odd, I rushed to the Citadel and had no chance to see Dr. Michel (although she was probably Garrus competition anyway), no Emily Wong, no room to roam, disappointing. I discovered something interesting on my ME1 replay: Wrex was with me when I saw Fist in Flux and he killed him no matter what I said during re-load, because "I finish my jobs" (he had been hired to take out Fist). Thus, no Fist in ME2.

I just started my 'cheating-on-Kaidan' run today, with an Engineer. Until I loaded it up, I had forgotten that that was my Renegade playthrough. Renegade import is an awfully empty galaxy...

I wish I could freakin' just grit my teeth and romance Kaidan but I dunno...the guy just BUGS me. I'm playing ME1 right now with a Shep who was intended for him but...guess who just got Virmired (a doing word!)? Shoulda went with Liara.

Have to admit, it was hard even flirting with Kaidan after I caught Garrus taking a furtive peek over his shoulder at my Shep one day.  

(Yes I know I'm delusional and that shot looks nothing like it. Don't ruin this for me )

Garrus would eat that chump for brunch, biotics or no. But Jacob would have to start it. Garrus is a gentleman...Jacob should learn from Garrus not fight him...(Women are supportive-waisted goddesses, Jake, not priiiizes. )

Seriously though, don't worry about it. If somebody did buy the rights to it, it'll probably be in production limbo forever, and if it does get released it'll likely be some straight-to-dvd Uwe Boll "Producers" scam beneath anyone's notice.



Been playing through ME2 on PC with one of the savegames from masseffectsaves.com... Had previously played through the game on xbox. And even with my own custom face, it just feels wrong... That's not my Shepard! You people can't know her!

Guess I just have to start from the beginning in ME1.

I was thinking about an interesting dichotomy to Garrus's personality. On one side, he has the patience and calm focus to be one of the best snipers out there. On the other side, he can let his passions overwhelm him into doing something rash. Makes me wonder if its his Turian upbringing that instills that discipline, and youth that makes him rebel against it.

Warning! Post about Jacob ahead! Sorry for being COMPLETELY off topic.

So...I came to find out that one of the conversations you have when you romance Jacob is really well written and almost makes me like the guy. He asks about your Shepard and neither of them put on their sleazy tone of voice. It's an intimate conversation and ends with a cute kiss on the cheek. However...it is the only decent dialogue Jacob gets in the whole game. Bioware...? Why?

Too bad one conversation doesn't change my opinion of the guy.

Anyway...

Garrus doesn't talk much about himself. Knowing that, do you want him to ask about your Shepard and his/her past?

I don't care what I ask him or what he asks me, I just want a conversation that isn't entirely mission related for once.

I want to hand him space hamster and just watch what he does with it. Does he think its food? Is he disgusted? Does he react like people do with kittens? Does he just stare at it closely and intently? Does he look at the hamster, then at you, then at the hamster, then at you, then back at the hamster... then back at you?

Not to sidetrack the schmooples discussion or anything but can I get some fanfiction recomendations from you Garrus-crazy peeps? (There's like 10,000 on the list that's linked from the first post...)



I'm looking for something long-ish (i.e. several chapters), that maybe goes beyond just the Shep/Garrus romance (although I don't mind some luv elements), and is preferably complete. I read Modus Operandi and thought that was pretty good - I'm looking for something in that vein, I guess.
