And I like the idea of a beer helmet. Stay hydrated, you know.
Edit: I yell at him a lot , too. Like Sia pointed out, he really likes to run in front of me.
Garrus: It's me, Shepard!
Me: No sh*t, Vakarian! Get the hell out of my line of fire!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one he's done this to. I think he's just showing off his butt. Too bad I end up shooting it when he does this.
He did shoot at me, even if only with "concussive rounds". I guess he enjoys trading fire!
Well, if he wanted to, he could have taken down more than your shields.

Those stupid husks are so annoying in the second game. They killed me like 10 times on Horizon the first time I played. I hated them.
lol, same here. I kept dying, and I was playing on normal... goddamnit. Horizon was the worst pain in the ass for me in the game. It took a while before I finally figured out how to play that mission. Garrus kept shouting "I'm dying here!" and I'm like, "I know, me too!"

I loved to take Garrus and Tali planetside for the Mako missions in ME1. Tali could fix the Mako faster than anyone, and between her relentless shotgun blasts and his sniper rifle, the geth were pretty easy prey. Not to mention that whenever we all fought synthetics, it looked like a freakin' fireworks display was going off with all the overload and such...sometimes the flashes were so blinding I couldn't see for a second. Awesome LOL
Garrus should be fired. Working the Mako for all eternity, yet some quarian who hasn't been near the console does it better than him. Bloody... *grumbles*
I actually got Slam from Miranda, and it was amazing against the Husks, for me at least. Every 3 seconds they come out, and every 3 seconds I Slam. Horizon... I think I got owned by the Scions more. And the Praetorian. Thank goodness for the Collector's Beam.
What really is annoying about Husks is that they can swarm and slip around your aim, as well as stun you for a little while. They make you un-duck from low cover, which makes you easy prey for everything else around you, too.
And, Miranda can deflect bullets and avoid death, I don't think Husks are going to hurt that engineered Cerberus woman.

It's the Praetorian which comes at you in addition to the husks and random collectors on the collector base!!! Out of cover, you get eaten, underr cover, you get husked. That damn base is the hardest one to pick a balanced team for (unless, like me, you pretty much always go for the Garrus/Thane-or-sometimes-Grunt power combination! I'm not saying it's the best, but having a default squad really makes it much

So, playing through the firewalker missions (finally!) and -- I think this was asked once before, did we ever get any info? -- does anyone else think the Firewalker VI sounds like Brandon Keener?
Also just talked to Garrus post-Archangel mission for my insanity run (also a stay true to Kaiden run, incidentally...it's very difficult...I think I will renegade Garrus this time too...I keep forgetting I'm not supposed to be paragoning and romancing him
Third, in that same convo he says something like "why didn't we join up with Cerberus even sooner" (regarding the new pimped out Normandy), and also says they are treating him decently. Yet we've seen the videos posted in this thread of him "EMPHATICALLY POINTING" at Miranda and saying he doesn't trust a Cerberus fireteam leader (that is if Jack is dead). Even if Jack is alive, he shakes his head in agreement with her. Soooooooo.....thoughts? theories? He liked Cerberus first/was blinded by the shiny Normandy/wanted to trust Shepard's judgment but after seeing how they screwed with her and everyone else, changed his mind?
edit trying to make more readable spacing

Doesn't he say "Just a figure of speech" when you get all "we're not with those Cerberus scumbags Garrus >=//"?

You're the second one who mentions that. I'll have to replay the mission to see for myself. I didn't notice any similarities when I played it, to be honest.

Miranda is not flexible enough.
Other than that, I think he likes the new Normandy et al, but it's still Cerberus. I don't think he'll ever completely trust Cerberus or people working for Cerberus. (other than Shep and other squadmates minus Miranda and Jacob)

Ehhh I dunno, since I"m not doing paragon this time I chose the middle option which was like "we don't have to trust them just yet" and he says something like "yeah you're probably right, I trust your judgment etc etc". But before that he's totally gushing about the Normandy and "Cerberus definitely isn't the Alliance" i.e. they don't have too many rules, which is something he also likes. But, perhaps he was just exaggerating. But it still doesn't seem like the same antipathy is there that we see right before the suicide mission.

Or, or!!
He was in the studio, and while he was there he DID record MOAR GARRUS in preperation for THE GARRUS AND SHEPARD ADVENTURETIME SPECIAL DLC PACK COMING SOON TO AN INTERNETS NEAR YOU!!!!!

Garrus does have a hot-blooded tendency to leap into the fray, even with his sniper rifle equipped. Usually if you order him into cover near the back of the battlefield, he'll keep himself alive, though.
I was playing his LM the other day--after Insanity, I figured out a surefire way to take out the heavy mechs (climb back onto the highest platform, pick them off as you please)--and he ended up running too far ahead by the time I ordered him into the cover and got chaingun'd down. Medigelled him back up, made it two feet, back on the ground. Bet he was having gunship flashbacks at that point (felt like a bad commander ;_

I always feel bad when he goes down during battle. Especially since a huge puddle of blood appears when it happens. First time I noticed I freaked out a little. Garrus!!! Oh ... no ... why T.T ... Wait I can revive him with medigel

I remember once after he got taken down by a Krogan at close quarters, I swear one of his limbs was ripped off! (it could have been the limb of a Blue Sun merc, but the blood, and the carnage.... it was unsettling.

More in the album. I <3 screenshots a little too much. I think I spend more time setting up scenes in Fallout 3 than actually playing.
So pretty. I can't wait until I get a PC et up so I can play ME1 on it and get pretty caps like that. I already have ME2 and have started playing it on a borrowed computer b/c I can't wait (I've played both games extensively on Xbox 360). I'll hold off on picking up ME1 for PC until my own rig is ready.
What do you use for caps ELE08?
Also, going back to the fan fic discussions... I have kind of a technical question - Does anyone know if you have to create an account at fanfic.net to save the storymarks I've added, or will it stay in my browser cache until I clear it. I ask because I was actually reading a Garrus fic there recently (it's okay so far - pretty much follows the game story but goes deeper into character's heads), but since I saw some other *ahem* "recommendations" several pages back, I clicked the "add" button to go back to them later. Just wondering.

I don't think he likes Cerberus, and him saying "why didn't we join them similar" was a little similar to Joker's "leather chairs", as well as perhaps being in the moment, even if he doesn't like Cerberus's policies. What I mean is I think he doesn't like Cerberus, but we could have got the Normandy SR-2 earlier, and then screwed Cerberus over. He's only there because of Shepard and the kidnapped colonists, I believe.
I haven't actually paid attention to it before, but the smiley face is awesome. Haha.
I haven't got Firewalker, so I don't know how it sounds.
I actually don't bother using Unity if they're too far ahead. I just remembered during the Collector's base visit, when the platform battle started, Samara and Garrus instantly died, and I decided to wait until I killed all the enemies and the next platform started to arrive before I use Unity.
I never seem to notice blood when it's there. Huh.
Damn, it always sucks when they go down right after you bring them back up. Gunship flashbacks... *shiver* that wasn't pleasant for me, either. I can't/don't want to imagine what it must have been like for him.
It's kind of strange that if Garrus takes a missile to the face in a normal battle, you can Unity him, but during the suicide mission, that apparently can't happen. Bloody Aeris-ness.
