When is the clock shift in the US? Do you even have one?

Edit: to stay on topic - if you could only max out 1 of Garrus's powers, which would you say is the best?

Yeah...spring ahead, fall back...I think it was a couple weeks ago here.  (Any fellow Americans help me out with this one?  I have a memory like a colander...everything goes right through)

And I love overload (although I could be biased there because I just played the level on Haestrom with the Geth and without Garrus's overload, we woulda been toast--well, even if we had stayed in the shadows).  I got into a good strategy there--have Garrus overload them to weaken the shields, then get Mordin to freeze them, then use Pull to throw them into the ceiling.  One time I pulled an enemy toward me while it was frozen and then right before it reached us, Mordin fired a single shot at him and he shattered into a gazillion pieces.  Fantastic! :o

I love Mordin's incinerate. It's just fun watching things burn. I also play as an engineer so I burn stuff as well. Anyways, in case my post got swallowed up, I like concussive shot maxed because barriers annoy me and Tali can use energy drain for shields.

Mordin just cracks me up. Who else could get away with shouting "Not difficult!!" after a crack shot? ;)

(granted I still love it more when Garrus yells, "One less to worry about!" there's something so smug about the way he says it. LOL)

I love when I do a headshot, and Gar yells 'great shot!' or 'perfect!'. It makes me feel damn good, and pretty damn smug myself. lol

There is pretty much NOTHING that Mordin does that I do not find amazing and/or hilarious.  Best not to get me started, I could gush all day. ;)

Mordin's one of the funniest characters in both games. Plus he's a bro to Shepard if you romance an alien.

I am wondering something. We know that Garrus can't be absolutely vital to beating ME3, but what kind of role do you want him to play? As he was in ME2, or something larger? It's an interesting question, although I'm not sure what responses I'll get.

Not Uk, Spain, but yeah we just skipped one hour. I hate this when it happens both times, but I guess is cool having another hour of sunlight in the afternoon.

I should be sleeping. Lol.

I should also be asleep. That is true of most of the times I post on this thread. lol

I don't mind the hour gain, but losing the hour is just depressing. Sigh. It just went from being slightly late, to very late, with none of the inbetween.

The US just had its clock jump...a week or so ago? I'm just coming off spring break, so my perception of time is all screwed up.

In order of usefulness, I'd say
Heavy Overload
Concussive Shot
AP Ammo
Turian Rebel

It's almost always best to max for damage (if you or your squad is down to health where a 5% difference matters, you're gonna die anyway), though your squaddies shouldn't be your main damage dealers anyway. Increasing their damage is nice, but not necessary. The powers that you can take advantage of yourself (stuff you can aim, like Warp/Overload/Conc Shot) are usually more useful than the passive ones. On the whole, you run into more enemies with Shields than Barriers--those are mostly Eclipse mercs and Collectors, and you only fight Collectors on three missions.

I think I want him as a squaddie, but I'm hoping he'll have more plot developement involvement, or at least better character conversations and missions in ME3. Not that there was anything wrong with him in ME2, it's just, nothing was enough for me! lol

I like to think that Bioware will really look at the way your relationships with the characters have developed and continue that for ME3 - not just default us all to square one on the relationship front with our imports (liek, you can get the same level of depth in a relationship when starting a fresh ME3 Shep, as you cn importing one hailing from ME1 - that would make me feel cheated).

Bioware may have to do a juggling act because they have to factor in people who didn't romance x love interest, and those who did. That's 7 love interests that Shepard didn't romance at the least. It'd be weird if you talked to your love interest on the Normandy yet the dialogue seemed neutral and didn't acknowledge the romance. Then again - I just thought of this - they can put in romance dialogue intermittently between neutral lines for non-romance required conversations.  But I'm not sure..I hope they do this well.

I figure they could just give all of the characters a bunch of neutral conversations like normal (and just double-check to make sure that nothing in them completely contradicts a possible romance, such as having Thane remark that he never loved again after his wife's death for example) and then have a few romance-only conversations spread out in-between them somehow. That COULD work, but it'd be tricky. If your LI says something emotional during a "neutral" conversation, then it would feel odd if Shepard's reaction is non-romantic. The only way to avoid that would be to make two different versions of the same conversation for 7+ squadmates, which may be too much work. Although I could see them adding little things, such as having Shepard touch the character's arm during one line if he was her love interest whereas if he wasn't her LI she would just stand there as usual. That wouldn't be much, but at least it doesn't seem hard to implement.

Whatever they decide to do regarding the romances, I hope they handle them with care and respect. I'd like for them to go all-out for the finale, meaning no sloppiness or laziness.

I'll second that.

Also, I just thought of something: during the bachelor party scene on Illium (which was hilarious, BTW), there were something like 8 different responses before the scene started looping again. They give that much attention to a throwaway scene like that (mind you, I'm not complaining, it was one of my favorite parts of the game, so funny), but then give us so little dialogue with Garrus who was in both games? It seems disproportionate to me.

Sorry, disrupting this convo flow - playing Jack recruitment mission.

Shep: You don't wanna be my enemy.

Garrus: They have a way of... dying.

He sounds so proud! (or I'm projecting)

Carry on.

Here we go! These screenshots should speak for themselves:

Amazing. Simply...Amazing. Thank you so much :crying:

So, going back a few pages...I noticed some people liked to treat Garrus Renegade in ME1. Taking into account that some of his romance options in ME2 are in the `renegade' slot...I almost want to say it was a little joke from Bioware. As though they noticed Garrus fans liked to persuade him to pursue being a Spectre again. So then they were all "Well...they're used to clicking the lower right option when talking to him, anyway."

And Flammie! A video where Garrus says "objection" (or so youtube thinks)!  I lol'd.

I prefer to make Garrus renegade. I felt that Dr. Heart and Sidonis really deserved to die. You can't murder innocent people like that and expect to get away.

I would always teach garrus to be a paragade. Make good choices while being a badass. As far as sidonis goes, he did do something bad but he was unarmed, pretty much defenseless, and he later tells you that he regrets what he did. Having garrus shoot him, as much closure it might give him, might cause him to shoot more unarmed people in the future, thats not the way i want him to go.

Like I said before, my Shepards choose the Renegade options with Garrus. :) They have no pity for people like Saleon and Sidonis. Most of the loyalty missions ended with them encouraging their teammates to kill someone.

Did anyone else get lines from Garrus after getting poisoned by the batarian bartender? He told me he was sorry for not warning me sooner about the bartender.

Edit: @mario - I vaguely remember that. Makes you think "wtf, Garrus! I could have died!"
