Human females have one "benefit" when it comes to interspecies, er... diplomacy, let's call it. They bear an uncanny resemblance to the asari which most species seem to find incredibly attractive.
And I was fully expecting Garrus to bring this up at some point, but he never did. (Which for me cements my conclusion that Garrus was just in love with his work and nothing else for pretty much his whole life. He's never even considered an asari relationship? Damn, Garrus.) In fact, if I'm not mistaken no one in game really mentions it except for that awesome salarian bachelor party group, and they seem to suspect that pheromones might have something to do with the fact that everyone finds them attractive and more similar to their own species. Then again, it could be that I'm reading to much into that and it was completely for the lulz.

One thing I liked about Thane in my playthroughs is synchronicity.
There is him-the sniper, the target, the well-aligned shot waiting to be fired, the girl who stands in the way of his bullet. The girl refuses to move, he falls in love, the target walks away unharmed.
And then, on the Citadel, there's another sniper, another target, another well-aligned shot waiting to be fired. Another girl stands in the way of the bullet and refuses to move. Thane falls in love (but alas, this time it's unrequited), Sidonis walks away unharmed.
I dun shat bricks.

WOAH.

For FemShepards, his commentary about his scars and the reach and flexibility conversation both take on a meaning very different then when similar discussions happen with MaleShepards. The reactions among fans to these scenes when they first played out are evident enough of this allusion.
It's easy to forget that a conversation can be the exact same for a FemShep and a MaleShep but have entirely different meanings, connotations, and effects due to inherent gender differences. Likewise, MaleShep and FemShep are two entirely different characters - if they were the same, if everything meant the same, then they'd have the same romance options. But there are fundamental differences between them.
Yep. Til the day I die I will believe the "For you, it's just 'Garrus'" line was written entirely for the femsheps and malesheps just got it as well because it still kind of works.

Alas though, I feel like the "some women find facial scars attractive" bit was just put in there so that dudesheps could get that frickin' amazing and lultastically superior line about how it's "Just as well. Everyone was always ignoring you and hitting on me. Time for you to get a fair shot at it." Oh man, Garrus, you
pimp, you
.

This is going to be slightly off-topic, but I really have to congratulate that cook on the Normandy II. The galley in the Normandy 1 only had at most three biotics to feed (Wrex, Liara and Kaiden, sometimes, Shep). The guy on the Normandy II (who's name completely escapes me at the moment) has Shep (sometimes), Miranda, Jacob, Jack, Samara (I'm assuming aliens also have to eat a lot to compensate), and Thane. I'm surprised we're not running for groceries every other system. 4000 calories is A LOT TO EAT. What, do we carbo load on the way down in the shuttle?.
I'm so glad somebody else thinks about this!!! One of the first things I do is go to the Citadel to buy Gardner's quality rations, and I like to believe that we're going to Costco to buy it in bulk or something cuz DAMN.
I keep having this mental image where Legion, Tali, and Garrus sit at the mess table, staring as all the biotics on the ship (for me this includes Shepard) frantically shovel food in their mouths (DBZ-style actually, for anyone who knows what I'm talking about here.) Mordin is all scientific and explains about the calorie requirement for the non-biotics. (Grunt eats just as much as the biotics. You know he does.
