...Kal'Reegar can help out in that fight and live? The strategy guide has lied to me again. xD It's not like I had much trouble with the battle playing on easy, but still.

I would like to see Garrus' reaction to watching movies with Shepard #7 when he says, "See that convict? The leader? He's my hero!" And then Garrus will realize that he "learned from the best" from a guy who he might have arrested had he been around during Earthborn Shepard's gang member days.

I actually think the second one suits (dohoho) him better; the coated turians have a much smaller build and thinner waist; they look a little smaller in general and thinner in the shoulders, too, though that might just be an optical illusion of the outfit. I think it fits that Garrus bulked up from ME1 (he learned how to use heavy armor, too! I know it's just a gameplay element, but my Soldier Shep kind of d'awwed). Also, yeah, the hat. It's adorkable but would be really distracting in a romance scene (though I believe there is a picture in The Folder of undercover!Garrus in one of those hats).

It's interesting that turian armor and some clothing emphasizes the collarbone, but others don't. I admit I never took a really good look at the first outfit before.

Also, some anecdotal invisible TMI regarding attraction: I never had much sexual or romantic interest in anything the first 18 years of my life; I consider myself bisexual since I've always cared about personality more than looks, to the point where I don't quite understand people who can/cannot have a relationship because of appearance. Only started masturbating recently, and I've noticed that the more attention I pay to a certain 'genre', the more interested I get in it. Like a feedback loop. So I've never found it really surprising to see that some people find themselves physically attracted to something they weren't before because they got interested in it.

Interesting.  I guess "blooming" at a later age would help you be more introspective about such things.

In ME1, which direction did you steer Garrus in? Since my main Shep is always a paragon (with a dash a badass when needed ^_^) I did steer Garrus in the paragon direction.  I felt annoyed how the "good" advice was me scolding the poor man though, the worst was me moaning about that cool headshot he did in the med clinic *cringe* that's the only paragon bit of advice I wish I didn't give! Hopefully he forgot about that...

Garrus: Ok, what the hell Shepard.

Thank you. Made me laugh until I cried.

I missed a day of this thread and all of this wonderfulness! (sigh)

Hm? I'm pretty sure I had Kal help me out and he survived...though I wasn't sure he survived until I got to Tali. I also don't remember what difficulty I was playing on when I did that.

In other words...that strategy guide sounds useless.

After watching that bad ass Vanguard vid, I will never let Kal die. EVAR. I actually dont think ive ever not had kal stay back. He's always helped me out. I think it's because I'd be scared to tell Jayne to stay out of a fight /fingerpokes

Btw, typing sideways is hard -.-

Every time I see this, I can't help but see the asari councelor with Olivia Colman's voice. "What makes you think it was REAPERS? :B"

Edit: Nope, found a better one.

Image IPB

The waist does look quite thin in the first outfit, but perhaps because of the fact the second outfit is a lot looser that the waist looks bigger there, and the coat of the first outfit doesn't show just how much upper-body the turian has. I think the shoulders are probably just a feature of the coat itself, considering how it's so sharp in the first outfit, yet curved in the second. I think turians need more outfits. Like formal wear. *dreams*

No idea about the emphasised collarbones. I think all armour has it emphasised, but that makes getting a real head-shot a little harder, especially from behind, so I guess that'd be a major reason why.

I'm starting to wonder if you're using adorkable on purpose, now. Though, nothing stopping Shepard from grabbing the hat and throwing it off. Or maybe even Garrus doing the same. Garrus bulking up is nice, too.

I've typed in a fair few different situations. I've never actually typed in a different keyboard orientation, though. Hmm...

Also, I know it's not strictly related to what's been said recently, and it's quite old, but I freaking love this:

No idea about what I feel about attraction. I don't think I've matured enough to venture an opinion on such. One thing I definitely know is that I'm attracted to Garrus and turians, but I can't elaborate heavily on that.

I'm assuming it's cos she is not facing her computer. Sideways typing is hard, but not as hard as upside down typing.

And here is the Vanguard rush again, just because I like watching it.

I had Mass Effect looping the pre-game trailor while I was making lunch, and while I understand the need for no Garrus in it, the awesome Thane/Grunt scenes really made me long for some action shots of Gr, sniping, jumping, generally kicking butt.

I'm really hoping he'll make an ME3 comeback, but it won't be a surprise, just so he can finally get the promotional placement he so rightly deserves!

Vanguards are too high-risk for me, unfortunately. Yes, I am a coward.

I might have once tried upside-down typing. I think it was the first time I used "actively search for keys and peck with fingers" style for a while.

Maybe they didn't want to reveal Garrus in the pre-game trailor to try and keep Archangel's identity hidden.

Bioware will bring him back for ME3, they wouldn't do it to us if they already gave us Garrus as a romance in ME2 as a service, and it wouldn't be smart to disregard the fanbase in the game straight after. I do hope he has a big role, indeed.

Well, he was promo'ed in the ME1 ads, so he's not been ignored totally. Unlike FemShep.

Yeah, with all the box art and trailers, before I even got ME2 I thought that there was only one set-in-stone character, Sheploo. So nice when I found out femShep existed and you could romance Garrus.

Yeah. I know Garrus was in the promo for ME1, but the video footege was lacking him, espcially when you compare it with the awesome footage of Thane Kicking butt, and Grunt facing off against the Thresher Maw. And yes, I know there was secrecy surroundig his part in ME2 (and I was soooo glad I didn't know he was in it, because it made me smile so much on the reveal), but watching the ME2 promotional footage, it looks damn good, and I think a lot of characters would be well served by a little bit of animated footage.

I do like how in the ME1 trailer, when the distress call for Novaria comes in, Garrus opens his mouth like 'shouldnt we help them?' but Ash shushes him. Bless.

While waiting for the countdown to finish, I was listening to the radio and I heard a line in a song that made me choke on my drink:

"He tastes like you, but sweeter"

I'd insert the "liquid sugar" Advice!Garrus...but the link doesn't work.

(The song was Thnks fr the Mmrs, in the chorus. Though for some reason they keep writing it as "only sweeter" even though they're clearly saying "but sweeter")

Also: If any Garrus-lovers in the U.S. have a referral link for the "Bazaar", I'd be happy to help you out and add it to my list of dailies.
(Why do I have tokens even though I'm in Australia? I swear it's mocking me! I know most of it's buyable...but free stuff!)

Excuse me if I'm not making any sense. It's almost 4-am here in Australia.

So I'll be in that deluxe condo next to yours in hell cuz I gigglesnorted so loud, I scared both my cats. Image IPB

As a side note, this is yet another reason why Jacob pales in comparison to the other LIs. I mean...Garrus tastes like sugar....and Thane will get you high as a kite. Gives a whole new meaning to the words 'man candy.'

What's that sound....? I think it's...my condo being upgraded. Image IPB

Nah.  That's the sound of my hell mansion being built down the street from yours.  I laughed hard enough that my neighbor came over asking what was so funny.

I was hoping it would be more like the strategy guide for Dragon Age, because that thing is awesome and tells me exactly which conversation options to use. It's still helpful, but a few pieces of information are wrong. o_o; Like the way it says Garrus isn't a full romance, and doesn't even mention Tali's...

It uses a blonde FemShep though. xD I was kind of surprised.
