A group or unit. Garrus's own team that he's in charge of. Like what he had on Omega. He would still be on the Normandy and report to Shep but has his own small tactical unit that he hand selected himself.

Shep knows what happened to Garrus and his team on Omega, and Maybe in ME3, he's forced to put Garrus in another situation that results in losing his team again.

I think a change of trust is very plausible. I had romanced Ashley in ME, but on Horizon she had changed and acted very negative of Sheps Cerberus affiliation. She seemed just as loyal as Garrus in ME1, yet she wasn't willing to play on the same team as the ME2 Shep.

hope so, if garrus doesnt get his epic "F*** YEAH!" moment in me 3 then bioware really threw away one of the greatest characters to have ever graced video games (other than mario of course), oh and I would also be piseed if they dont (smiley innocent face)

It would make more sense if garrus left shepard, formed another tam and regrouped with shepard at some point in me3

It's all just speculation for what could break the trust between Shep and Garrus so anything is game.

The only real inference we have if something were to happen to Garrus is that it would be "team" centered. Maybe Shep's team or maybe Garrus's speculated "ME3 team".

If it didnt involve anything "team" centered, then a Garrus betrayal would be, as everyone else says, unlikely and would not make sense.

Well if you let Sidonis live, he admits he felt really guilty about all of it and turns himself in for the murdering 8 people in Omega. The C-Spec locks him up but dont do anything with him because there is no government in Omega to give him due process.

Im more concerned about letting Garrus kill Sidonis. Seeing someone calm and calculating as Garrus so enraged with blood lust was a bit distrubing. This could be interpreted as foreshadowing a more ruthless Garrus in ME3. His loyalty mission is called an Eye for an Eye.

We know Garrus cares a lot about his crew. Possibly Garrus gets promoted to a small cell of his own and Shep jeopardizes them all. People can change, and most of the time, its not in the way you want them to.

Just because Sidonis appears to feel guilt doesn't mean he won't do something ****ty in ME3. If there were adverse consequences to letting him kill Sidonis they're probably include negative consequences for the paragon option as well for the sake of keeping the two alignments "equal".

Sidonis could be tricky bastard....Bioware could pull it off if they really wanted to.  I don't know about ya'll but that whiny little mercenary on Samara's dossier mission had me totally fooled (in retrospect, she was kind of suspicious, but at the time I mostly just saw her as pathetic.)  Imagine my surprise when i heard that recording!  I was actually pretty happy though, because I was glad to see a negativeish consequence for picking a paragon option.  It made my decision feel more weighty. (And I still spare her in subsequent playthroughs, because my Shep's a little too idealistic like that. It's a mistake she would make.)

I'd rather not be too specific on what I'd like to happen in ME3. I guess Garrus falling out with Shepard may be interesting, but unless there are some certain dire situations I don't think it's very likely.

I thought Garrus's "what would you do if someone betrayed you" was food for thought for Shepard, to get across how he felt, and make her think about what would truly have been done.

Y'know, I got tricked by the whiny merc on Samara's recruitment mission, too. Though, I reacted far too quickly and pressed the Renegade interrupt, so, y'know. I actually sometimes press the wrong interrupt for going too quickly. I also did notice her holding up her gun, which was quite suspicious.

...And, due to loading failures, I had to deal with the Mako disappearing halfway through Therum in ME1. Now I've had to deal with four Geth Armatures, some Rocket Troopers and a Geth Collosus, with practically a pistol, Garrus, Wrex, and the really slow-to-cool-down Lift.

Also, if we're being more like turians than we thought, isn't it high
time we ship Flammie off to the space military? And, in the vein of the
squirrely mood I'm in, Flammie: Did it make you laugh when you saw the
horrifying zombie things coming to barf toxins at you and they're
called "Creepers?" I must know. British colloquialisms are kind of
great.

LOL. He might be the next Garrus.

It's okay, Flammie. We'll write you. ^_^
Please, do you best for the next 15 years!

...You all are mean ;_; *gets dragged away* I'll do my best!

And, I don't know that colloquialism. How the hell do you remember I'm 15 and British, anyway? I don't think I've mentioned that for ages.

Oh her! haha On a my first play through I picked the renegade option when I saw her reach for the gun and felt guilty about it afterwards.  The recording set me free lol.

Hell, even I remember how old you are and my memory is teh p00p. I guess that it's different enough from the rest of us that it sticks out?

EDIT: My desktop randomly shuffles through screens of my game and I'd just like to let you know that it's on the shot of Shepard KICKING THAT KROGAN IN THE FACE on Omega, and Garrus is looking totally awesome in the background: epic regal profile shot, flames swirly around behind him: awesome.

It made me smile. Probably because I'd like to believe he has his arms crossed all pose-like behind Shepard.

"Garrus! I could use some help here!"

Hahahaha, wow. That's pretty fantastic.

I like the Cerberus news for today. Apparently Garrus and Tali can celebrate Passover with their jewish friends. I don't know how well either species could pull off a yarmulke though.

I think ME3 should determine what Garrus does , if you kept him on the straight and narrow (didn't kill heart, didn't let him shoot harkin in the knee, let sidonis live, whatever forth event they got planned for ME3) a final scene would be him getting dubbed as a spectre by the council for his efforts. Shep will be looking on , really proud of him (sqeeee!) If you were wishy washy with his ethics the neutral ending is Garrus on the normandy telling sheperd he'll stick with her no matter what , he'll say similar lines from the spectre scene (Shepard is his true friend, how she has changed him for the better, he plans to stick by her etc). But he remains her second in command.

If you went full renegade Garrus wants to go vigilante again, he says he needs to continue making a difference , even with the reapers gone there is still petty crime and injustice. He tells shepard that she has changed him, he tells her he can now accept the harsh reality and that the only true way to deal with criminals is with a bullet. He tells her he is staying but is not under her command "I don't need a mentor anymore but you are still my friend" Garrus will stick with shepard but will deal with criminals how he sees fit.

Oh and I agree Garrus needs a big "F@CK YEAH!" moment (moments!) for ME3. I want a heroic save , shepard does the saving all the time , I want gar to save his BFF's butt in an epic way;

I'm thinking , final fight, Shepard gets isolated from the rest of the team. She has to take on a powerful enemy on her own , the bad guy is winning and shepard is about to get killed. " *laughing* Where is your army now human?" then you hear;

"Right behind you..."

BAM! Gunshot! Bad guy remains still for a bit and then flops over to the side to reveal Garrus. He's badly wounded but he can still hold up a pistol, he pulls up shepard from the ground and tells her that they need to get moving. Something like that would be awesome.

Modern technology :police:. Haha, I was dying to get something Garrusrelated in my house, so I went to the website of the supermarket across the street, chose a mug, uploaded the pic and there it is. Almost awesome as Garrus himself. I wish I could say I painted it myself, but alas, I am unskilled.

Everybody can make one B)

I like your scenarios, especially that last one which would really work for any of the LI's, including the ME1s.

"Creeper"? Someone who is "creepy"? Which is a huge understatement for....ehhh, nevermind. Of to space boot camp with you! You'll like it. Image IPB And it's easy to remember those details because they stand out from the rest of this forum. Don't worry, we still like you. ;)

Hyrule_Gal: *Brofist* Love that. Would be easy as hell for BW, too, b/c the scene could play out the same, with just a slightly different line from whatever other squadmate was with you. Does anyone else hope we're building up "points" somehow for all of our interactions with Garrus and how often we bring him along on missions?

I think with Garrus openly betraying Shepard he would definitely have to think he was doing the right thing; maybe be tricked into doing it, which would seriously give him a megadose of perspective on Sidonis; probably make him feel like crap if you let him kill him and a bit relieved if you didn't. Or that good ol' deus ex machina, indoctrination. I have this strange feeling it's going to come into play in a more personal fashion like that in ME3. I almost think BW might do it just because he's the least likely to do something like that.
