Does anyone else hope we're building up "points" somehow for all of our interactions with Garrus and how often we bring him along on missions?

I think with Garrus openly betraying Shepard he would definitely have to think he was doing the right thing; maybe be tricked into doing it, which would seriously give him a megadose of perspective on Sidonis; probably make him feel like crap if you let him kill him and a bit relieved if you didn't. Or that good ol' deus ex machina, indoctrination. I have this strange feeling it's going to come into play in a more personal fashion like that in ME3. I almost think BW might do it just because he's the least likely to do something like that.

I once read somewhere that BW is tracking who you take with you on missions. I don't know how they do it and if it's true at all, but if he doesn't have enough 'points' then it's not my fault. I take him with me aaall the time haha.

Garrus betraying Shepard sounds... highly unlikely. I don't see any reason for Garrus to do that, even if you renegade him. Shep is his friend and they fully trust each other. BW would have to do some weird storywriting to make a GarrusbetrayingShep scenario fitting. But even if they come up with a story that's totally plausible, I'll rage and swim the ocean to torture them.

I haven't posted for some time, yet I have to add something.

We are talking about indoctrination taking part in Garrus betrayal, but we all forgot one thing.

Garrus have cybernetics manufactured by Cereberus, and is the only team-mate which will approve of leaving the station to Cerberus while loyal.

As we learned on Virmire indoctrination is slow process, and I'm quite sure, there is no way to resist it. (Every sentient being with five senses can be hypnotised [I know it is may seem as wrong metaphor, but Reapers code our subconscious] . Sometimes it just take longer.)

I doubt that any team member lost for the Reapers would recoverable. Even Shepard.

It may sound weird, but I feel, that Shepard dies during ME 3. It would be so right to return from grave to save the galaxy, and find peace. It would be... poetical?

Of course I would be very glad with happy ending, and Garrus life saving intervention ^^

P.S.

Garrus

Is this true? if it is then im screwed because garrus is the only one i consistently take as a squadmate on missions, man my garrus fanism could really screw me over in me 3

...Y'know, I thought a Creeper was something a lot more complicated than that. *facepalm*

...Yeah, I guess it's not difficult to remember that I'm 15, since everybody else, apart from two or so 16s, are pretty much adult. And I guess I post too much. I wondered how somebody knew there was a 15 year old when discussions about censoring ourselves came up.

But, Britishness dripping from my posts? What the hell? I feel contaminated. I shouldn't be dripping.

Garrus mug is awesome. I think there may be some place where that can be done over here, but I'm not sure. The biggest turian/Garrus thing I want to do is by sewing. I'm probably not going to get away with having a mug in the house. I like your room, though, Cerrydd. Green walls are nice. Probably not what I should be focusing on, but eh.

Hyrule_Gal, that's actually a good idea, I can really see it happening, and it would be quite touching.

Makes me think, perhaps instead of just "loyal" and "non-loyal" we can have a sort of gradient, that shows us just how much each member of the squad likes you, and can decide who will be the first one that manages to stand by your side, like in Hyrule_Gal's post, with different factors that raise and lower it, and perhaps the loyalty mission provides a massive boost to it.

...Dammit, the space boot camp staff see me.

You don't drip Britishness, Flammie. ;)

Your loyalty gradient thing, though, is what they have in DA:O.

No, actually- you mentioned it once and it stuck in my head. I think because you were the first person I remembered mentioning their country of origin. *shrug* Anyway, have fun. The turians will teach you how not to get your butt kicked too badly.

An addendum to a Garrus "betrayal"- it would be in no way shape or form a permanent thing, if they were to do it right. And it wouldn't be his conscious decision, "I am so gonna betray my best friend/LI and commander." I could see something going down in the second act of the game- the turning point where things start to feel really hopeless. They'd have to seriously mess with Garrs' head to make something like that happen-outright deception or indoctrination. I will not argue that Garrus would never intentionally screw with Shepard; he would have to not realize he was doing it.
Aaaaaanyway.....if they really are 'datamining' to figure out the popularity of various characters, I feel bad b/c my Renegade seriously mixes it up and rarely brings Garrus. Because he calls her on her crap and I can't bear to hear the disdain in his voice, all ashamed of her.....*sniffs*

Umm, what do you mean? Garrus approves when TIM pops up when you're deciding whether to destroy the base or not, but I have to say I only saved the base once so I totally forgot what Garrus said afterwards on the Normandy. But if you're talking about the TIM moment, then Garrus is not the only one who approves of keeping the base. But I think you mean the post-mission dialogue? Despite being a Garrus fan, I really can't remember what he says when you kept the base, because I always destroy it. Heh.

Heh, yeah, you should be looking at GARRUS. But yeah, green walls are cool ^_^. I wanted to paint the entire house pink, but boyfriend objected, so now only the bedroom and the toilet are pink.

I wish I had sewing skills. I adored the Garrusloyaltyhoodie someone was working on (I already forgot who), but if I start sewing it will end up like ****. edit: damn it, why does this board censor s h i t? What's wrong with that word? Really, it's just poo.

So, Garrus.

Another edit: I'm trying to find the article that mentioned the datamining. I can't find it yet. Maybe I was hallucinating, but I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere.

Hyrule_Gal, wtf r u doin' with your life? Go work for Bioware and make all my dreams come true. NAO.

They datamined ME1 so I for one am 100% convinced they're doing it with 2. As far as Garrus treachery, I just can't see it happening and have it feel...authentic. It would feel really cheap unless it was something dastardly like indoctrination. Oooh I shudder to think of even one member of the team getting indoctrinated. *insert dark foreboding feeling here*

I coulda sworn I heard somewhere that ME3 will have multiple endings...Hopefully they won't pull a Dragon Age and have you feeling sullied and unusual no matter what choice you made.

Garrus pretty much applauds you with a joke. Saying that you first took down saren and then the collectors and you should remind him not to ****** you off. =p

Oh, I haven't actually played it, so I don't know, there. Something to do with approval rating? I thought it might be nice in ME, but I'm aware that it's not a new concept, even before DA:O. I think the biggest one I can remember was FFX, but that didn't have a major effect.

...I guess honour, colour, armour etc. might give it away, somewhat, but I didn't think I used those too much. (Britishness, in case anybody's wondering where the hell I got those words from. Spelling here's different than in US, not sure about anywhere else that uses English). And, actually, I really only mentioned I came from England because I think Cerrydd said where she came from. I know it shouldn't be a case of Eye for an Eye *cough* but still.

Apparently, Garrus says that Shepard should be careful, and he'll always respect her decision if you keep the base. Destroy it and he makes the "remind me not to get on your bad side" comment. I honestly don't know if Cerberus are messing with him.

And pink house? Nice. I'm crap at sewing, too, but I think it's the first skill I want to practise, actually. And, the alternate word for turd does also come with negative, profane connotations. And your hand is awesome, too.

The loyalty hoodie was by siltsonata, I believe. I've no idea why I remember that. I wonder how it's going.

*gets hit by tranquiliser*

Why do they always do that when I run?

*gets dragged away*

There was that nice guy visiting the school... I think his name was Officer Vakarian...

*falls unconcious*

Bwuahah, I have not idea: it's not my computer.  Over spring break I got to have exactly 24 hours or so to play ME2 on my little brother's PC.  I took the opportunity to take AS MANY SCREENSHOTS AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE.

He cut me off ("for my own good", psh) when he found me pressing F10 with zombie eyes in front of the computer at 5:00 in the morning.

Him: OH MY GOD you have a serious problem.  I had no idea it was this bad.
Me:  Yeah well, if you'd give me more time with it I wouldn't have to do this!
Him:  I'm cutting you off. Go to bed.
Me: NOOOOO Garrus's loyalty mission just opened up! The romance starts after that! You can't do this to me.
Him:  I left you here twelve hours ago! YOU'RE STILL HERE. When was the last time you ate?! Are you ****ing Gollum now or something?
Me:  ....eating is for chumps.
Him:  *exits ME2*
Me: NOOOOO hiss wail, etc.

It was very not pretty.

Supermarkets here offer photo services. Order online, wait a few days, and get it with your groceries.

Sounds familiar. Except the part where he exits ME2. Everybody knows it's bad for their health when they disturb me while I'm gaming. "They have a way of dying." <--- look, totally on-topic!

In the options menu of ME1, you're asked if you want to remain online so they can track your gameplay for further installments. I mean it would only make sense to do it in prep for ME3, y'know? I think I read that same article or interview or w/e so you're not goin' crazy or anything. Posted Image

Ow, I played ME1 on the Xbox without an internet connection, so I didn't know that. Did it ask in ME2 too? Can't remember that part.
