Oh, oh GOD, nice. I wonder if he likes those chewy white blocks of stuff you give parakeets? D:

Except the front of his mouth is flexible.. Hm. I wonder if they try and use their lips much for eating, or just bypass them (Put food directly by teeth, pop over lips like grapes? Or just use them like we use em? Oooorrr not.

Lol, he'd be better at it than I am.. I'll sometimes get so focuses on a area, that i'll just forget to.. check behind me.

I keep accidentally hitting charge instead of reave on my Vanguard, though.

"Look, by the window!"

"OK, reave to blowhisOHGODNO" (Rushed right into a group of 4 on hardcore, not horrible, but totally was cursing in my mind. Spm charge, awaaaay).

Ahh. Yeah, makes sense there... Oh god, image of him drinking like a parakeet or parrot.. wat. Think I am tired! Hah, chafing.
They could/probably are more omnivorous, the gizzard would help with any processing of vegetable material, I suppose.

I was gonna mention that I've always imagined most of Garrus's mouth actions (eating biting, whatever) mimick a cockatiel... But while thinking about that...you know how cockatiels climb with their mouths?

Mental image of Garrus doing that.

Brb.  Snorrfling too hard.

Looked for a video to see how they climb. Pictured Garrus doing that. Laughed hard.

I think it's interesting to think about turian biology, especially since we don't hear very much about it. I'm entirely unsure about it, but it's still an interesting matter.

Aricle, those pictures are quite good, and the little seeming exchange between them was adorable. Does anybody have any idea what triggers the "cute couple" line? I don't know if it was confirmed.

I want a pet bird now. I'll name him Garrus. And teach him to scream "SCOPED AND DROPPED!" Trying to teach my kid to say it isn't working anyway. :P

It's like turian chewing gum. They love 'em.

They also get pissed when they see their reflections in the mirror. ;)

I totally want to name a pet after an ME character, but...I have very strict rules about naming any pet after a character that I'm in love with.  There's a degree of weird there that my brain would be unable to avoid.

Flam, I think being positive when she talks about him works, since she says she wants to hold him close, you can go "me too", and then I think she makes that comment.

Birdy Garrus! We used to have a grey parrot.. Got him from a lady, all he would do would swear.. Both hilarious and :(.

Ah man, that mental image.. Priceless!

Edit: Super Silt XD.
Garrus walks by a mirror, checks out his scar.. Then gives it a good poke "D:<".
Also, I named a cat Cale.. After Kael'thalas, Prince of the blood elves >>. I never told them how I got the name, they all thought I was naming him after a food. HA.

Alright, folks. I'm gonna be honest with you all.... I don't see ANY avian resemblance on Garrus, or any turian for that matter. To me, they look more like armor-plated felines than avians. Serious to god, armor-plated kitties. My gawd...

Well silt, you could always name a pet after a character you hate. But...that would probably make things even more awkward Posted Image

Back when I was a wee lass, there was a neighborhood cat that stalked our street that had been dubbed Sephiroth by the nerdy denizens of our block. That cat was a vile demon under guise of fur and fluff and just as bat-shyt crazy...I loved that cat. Posted Image

EDIT! I am having way too much fun taking screenshots. Can I interest anyone in an epic Garrus headshot? The first of Garrus butt? *sigh* I love that turian butt. Posted Image

My god, maybe that's why Jacob refers to him as "Cuttlebone"!

And I think it's been established that he is a cat bird turtle dinosaur space cowboy.

After being a few pages behind again...all I have to say is that I'd like to reiterate that I would love to see a Turian try to eat noodles.

Heya guys, hate to randomly impose again- but I'm just so curious, what's "plough like fresh snow" from? It just seems really hilarious and I searched and couldn't find anything =/ I don't recall him saying that either but if you guys can share w/me that'd be great ;) thanks!

I believe it is just an enthusiastic euphemism for sexing somebody.  I don't know that it's a reference to anything.  Maybe azn will say otherwise...

It was a short-lived running joke.
In the other thread and at the start of this one, I could hardly go a post without saying "Like fresh snow" (usually Garrus saying it to Kaidan or something). So...made it into a sig so I could stop saying it. It's really only funny to me. Probably.

I went back and found the original joke for you all. ^_^ It lasted from pages 133 to 135 of the old thread.

This would be completely out of character for him, but I'd like to hear him brag to everyone else that he's "hittin dat." Not in a chauvinistic way, of course, just...proud to have the most bad ass woman on his arm, you know?

This probably stems from my deep desire to just rub it in Alenko's face. A quip about it from Garrus to Kaidan just seems far too cruel, though. "Like fresh snow, Kaidan. Fresh. Snow."

...hot and sexy shirtless-for-science fight ensues.

I dont see it, i think that line has to many curves to be considered an s-shaped curved line (although if garrus stands straight i can see it) but because the line has curves it does look appealing aesthetically

hehheh kinetic aesthetic heh

Although I would hate it, I can hardly think of a better end to Shep's story than a tragic one. Janissary "Jane" Shepard is going to go out like a big goddamn hero!

Gah, I can see it now: Shep heading towards the light as Garrus embraces her already limp body. She pulls him close and with her last breath says, "Like...fresh snow, Garrus...like fresh snow."

But I am almost positive the first time was here.

...finding those just made me realize how many new faces have joined us since we hit...I dunno, 200 pages?

IN OTHER NEWS

My hamster (the real one, not space hamster) is called Urdnot Wrex. =]

I want to see Garrus eat a dextro-ice cream.

Hmm. Any way of telling (without a verified profile) that this guy is the real deal? http://twitter.com/GarrusV

I have no idea if it's real, but if it is, then I find it extremely amusing that he chose GarrusV as his nick. That would mean he's very aware of Garrus's popularity.

Maybe he's a lurker here and laughing his ass off about all our comments.

Nah.

Be positive about Garrus? I guess I'll have to remember that. First and only time I had the conversation with Kelly I was ManShep, so I doubt that line would come up.

Posted Image

~Found it

*cough* dunno if that even has very much relevance.

I can kind of see the line of beauty in that pic, though it might have been extended a little too far. Gotta love the turian, there's a lot of awesome to be found in him. I like how he manages to sneak and balance so precariously on his feet. He really is quite flexible. If his reach is better, I wonder how far he can go.

This has really gone far, hasn't it? I only joined around the 150 mark, though, coming in with my Garrus obsession. Dunno how much of an impression I've made. I could just Fade Away every time I post *cough*

Did somebody say Garrus's butt? It's a little in your face, so I'll just link it, but there's a nice picture.

THIS. I agree with everyone who said that a betrayal by Garrus would feel cheap. It'd feel like something BioWare only put in because they needed some drama and couldn't think of anything original, so they decided to sacrifice character integrity by going with the "betrayal!" route.

EXACTLY! Betrayal isn't something original, and with most characters it would be feel like something Bioware tacked on to be edgy and have an "emotionally engaging" storyline. The problem is that most players would be more "emotionally engaged" if Garrus was there fighting with Shepard rather than against Shepard. I've seen people say that dead people = deeper storyline, and I wholeheartedly disagree with that.

Do. Not. Want. That would be like if Sam betrayed Frodo at the end of the LOTR trilogy. It wouldn't be emotional, it would feel forced. There's just no way they could give him enough character development over the course of one game to get him to a point where he would even consider going against Shepard. Remember that most character development in ME games consists of a few Normandy conversations and one side quest. Considering that Garrus can die in ME2, if he's a squadmate in the third game you can pretty much guarantee that a few Normandy conversations and a sidequest are all he's going to get. ME3 is the last game and our last chance to really get to know more about Garrus. It would really suck if we spent all of those conversations fighting with our best friend and possible love interest.

I agree. Garrus has been built up through both games as someone who understands the big picture. The reapers need to be defeated, killing mercs can wait. Considering how Shepard is the only reason why both the Reapers and Collectors were defeated, Garrus betraying Shepard would be an incredible leap of faith to believe.

The ONLY way I could see it working would be if Garrus "unknowningly" betrayed Shepard. But that'd be hard to pull off.

If they HAVE to go the betrayal route, then this would be better. Kind of like your LI did something they thought would help Shepard but it actually caused more problems. You may then be able to break off the relationship or realize that this is just another bump in the road. But yea, when it comes down to it, I'd rather not have any betrayals, especially our LIs (who would be less likely to betray Shepard to begin with).

Garrus wouldn't betray shepard if he wanted to screw up his life even more. He even tells you that he thinks everything hes been doing in his life was messed up and he wants to do something right for once. If anyone would betray shepard, i would think it would either be jack, miranda, or samara.

Garrus with me and at my side till the very end!

For what it's worth, this is what I was saying back a coupla pages ago. Posted Image Someone using Garrus to get to Shep like the mercs did with Sidonis but you know, without Garrus' knowledge, or indoctrination. Garrus would never knowingly or willingly betray Shep, but that's not to  say BW might not make someone (not necessarily him) do it unknowingly/unwillingly.

Anyway! Turians. Yes. I love when you guys post these screencaps (am I in the minority with my XBox version?) so I can, uh, study turian anatomy. Speaking of which, something that made me laugh- I just realized the "humans are all racist" turian has a really...small....fringe. Posted Image

ETA: For whatever reason, grammar is hard today.
