Hmm... how often does everyone here use Garrus? Been checking out new artwork on DA (siltonata's uploaded her hoodie, if anybody wanted to see it again). Anyway, this picture made me realise that I really do overuse him, and it may apply to some of you all, perhaps.

As hard as it is for me, I've decided to stop using Garrus so much so I can hear different character's dialogue on future missions. Otherwise I'll be completing six playthroughs missing a lot of material.

Like the companion achievements in ME1. I just COULDN'T get them all, one spot was always for Garrus.

He's pretty much always in my squad, except for the plague zone. I can't do that to him.

For the most part, Garrus is in my squad, except in my last few playthroughs. I've switched out my favorite turian to see if anyone else has something interesting to say.



For the most part, Garrus still has the better lines.

Legion comes close though.

I take Garrus everywhere, except for Legion's loyalty mission. That's the only time I take Legion and Tali out. The rest is always Shep + Garrus + Grunt.

I still have to do my insanity PT but I think that will be the PT with more variation

I'm still not sure, but I think you have to NOT be flirting with Kelly. Be nice, but not flirting. I remember I got the line on my first run, where I found her kind of off-putting, but never on subsequent runs, where I heartlessly strung her along to feed my fish.

Makes me wonder if it's an age thing (I think it's unlikely, since Garrus is fairly young and has very long fringe, Saren was middle-aged and his was also long, I got the impression Kuril was older, and his was still average/long). According to the romance conversation, it's comprable to hair? So maybe it is just a voluntary vanity thing? Or just random genetics?

Edit: Garrus is filling one of my party slots on every mission but Insanity ones. The cursor is on him by default, how can I not? I actually got the Turian Ally achievement on the first game entirely by accident; I wasn't intending to go for any of them, but by the time I hit Saren--TURIAN ALLY UNLOCKED! I just thought he was kickin' rad. And tech skills meant he was necessary for unlocking things, so he came with me...pretty much all of the time v:blush:v

Or maybe it's like...you know how we say "Well you know what they say about a guy with big feet! *slacious eyebrow waggle*" Maybe it's the same with turians...Unlike our saying though, I'd hope it wouldn't be a myth...cuz you know...Garrus' fringe has reach.

The truth is that Garrus is  a great person(i call him that rather than a game character because i think that he is so cool that he is alive:O:O and we simply dont see him because he is so fast-faster than the speed of light and always from place to place, galaxy to galaxy calibrating something as usual...!!!)and he deserves the best - of course a marriage with my femShep and also more lines and information about his past or his dad...or his homeworld Palaven!!Please Bioware...:innocent:
Also..........PLEASE GOD LETS NOT  SEE  A GARRUS BETRAYAL(but how is that possible??i hope not,it couldnt happen,he is the only person that sees himself through Shepards eyes as abetter man-turian<3)

On my main Shepard, I take Garrus with me almost everywhere. He's her LI, and it really doesn't hurt that he has some of the best lines.



On other Shepards I take him sometimes, but not most of the time. I mix it up a lot more.

I felt a little bad when I realized that I was traveling across the galaxy and uprooting people from their lives to come work for me and never using anyone but the first three people I recruited (Garrus+Mordin or Garrus+Grunt).

Interesting thing I experienced the other day. As you may know, I draw. I also spend a lot of time doing nothing between classes (I'm at university), so like me a lot of people take a sketchpad or something and draw stuff.
A friend of mine was bored, asking what he could draw (he's very creative, though), and I suggested we swap drawings and re-draw them in our own styles. I selected one of his many characters, and he picked a couple of very vague scribbles from my notebook...
I was surprised, really, because these are some of the most vague scribbles I've drawn. You can see them here. The only thing about Mass Effect he has ever seen are my sketches of Turians, so I found his final result kinda amazing. Before he started, he asked me: "How do you make out with them, anyway?" My answer: "Well... You can, just trust me." xDD Later while he was drawing he stated that "He had no idea how their bodies were, but he was gonna draw him a precious ass", but in the end he didn't draw that far =D. Still amusing though.

I think he would like a thing or two from Mass Effect. I'm sure he would love Samara... I'll email him Samara's trailer. Not sure if he would love Garrus, though. Anyone can link me to a suitable video I can send him? You know, some sort of general fan made trailer of him, NOT focused on his romance?

Yeah, my first time through it was Always Garrus+Mordin, then when I got Thane it became Garrus + Thane. I'm also one of those people who always keeps the LI with them always, haha.
My second playthrough was the same, except Miranda with her squad bonus and Garrus, then Thane and Garrus again. After that, I started to swap out the second member to hear more lines.

My Garrus LI playtough saw more Grunt and Samara showed up on the Suicide mission. It sort of sucks not taking the fav characters, but as you guys have said.. Sticking with 2 people with a whole squad to listen to.. Hee.
It seems that Thane is more chatty when I take Zaeed (Who is also a very fun character, loving taking him along with me). Too bad we get Legion so late in the game.

As for the plague zone.. I always take Garrus
Then I took Grunt+Garrus with me into teh plague zone.. Mahaha. They had a rather interesting back and forth at the bonfires.

And is that Joker on the left of that picture? I like Kaidan in a suit, also. But I find it hard to see that picture as sad... Because my Shepard is safe and well for now. Unless they are mourning Ashley, or something. Then ok, it's different...

Pretty sure that's Shepard's funeral. You die at the beginning of ME2, remember?
