Yeah- if it was Ash's funeral, Shep would've been there. : /

XD Yesss. I'm seriously debating letting Garrus kill Sidonis in my Paragon playthrough....I've done it both ways now, such a hard choice! Paragon gives you more lines and you stay consistent with how you've been mentoring him, but Renegade is like helping out your guy...b/c my Sole Survivor really -does- know what that's like...

Hahaha, so much hate isn't healthy.

And is that Joker on the left of that picture? I like Kaidan in a suit, also. But I find it hard to see that picture as sad... Because my Shepard is safe and well for now. Unless they are mourning Ashley, or something. Then ok, it's different...

Pretty sure that's Shepard's funeral. You die at the beginning of ME2, remember?

Yeah, I know, but how can you feel sad when Shepard's alive and well fifteen minutes after you begin playing? :P That's what I mean.

As hard as it is for me, I've decided to stop using Garrus so much so I can hear different character's dialogue on future missions. Otherwise I'll be completing six playthroughs missing a lot of material.
Like the companion achievements in ME1. I just COULDN'T get them all, one spot was always for Garrus.:(

Yes, DAMN.  Ally achievements are SOOOO SLOOOOW When you can only get one at a time. ;) I think I only ever got 3 of 'em aside from Turian. (Ash, Wrex, and Tali. I can never justify getting Liara first when Feros is UNDER ATTACK HELLO and Kaiden...well...Eff yew Kaidan. :P)

Yeah, this is the one thing I have trouble with. I want him with me OH SO BAD for that Mordin "Racial Tension with Turians" line. (Ain't just racial tension, Doc.  :innocent:) But I just can't roleplay as Shepard effectively if I pick it; there's no way my Shepard would ever make that decision. Ever.  In a million years.  For anyone, I mean, she wouldn't send Grunt in there either. But especially Garrus.

Garrus talks her in to it.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

"YOU SAID IT WAS OK~"

"..Never go anywhere nice...*Coughack* :I"

Yeah, I took his reassurance that it should be ok, Sia! Aw, he'd brave a potentially fatal plague just to help out.

He's a big boy.  If he can't handle it, he would tell us, right?  He's not going to fall victim to that macho "Have to impress the chick" crap, right?  Right?

Haha,

"Perhaps I underestimated how deadly this plague was.."

Nahh, he'd never fall for that... Ever... Maybe. He could of just felt that hey, you just saved his bacon, perhaps he'll stand by your side no matter what! Then offer snarky comments about everything. Would have been fun if he and Grunt would talk much more if you took them along in that mission.

At least it's not as bad as Thane and Samara. Thane mentions that it makes his boneitis worse, and it turns out the reason you don't see any afflicted asari in the plague district is that it's lethal to asari within a few days.

Oops.

Ha, so you're more of a jerk to take those two along~! Poor Samara though, lol at the boneitis. He does not sound too happy once he starts to get sick, though. (Awww, if you need me, i'll risk it).

And Grunt doesn't get sick. Nope.

Did it totally skip the wheel with Legion? Awesome.

I take him along for the sake of milking him for dialogue (Gawd I have a dirty mind today!). Doing it to impress/keep up with Shepard? >:) Somehow I am totally amused by that idea.

The GarrusV Twitter- I don't know. It seems like it could really be him- he's mostly talking about his kids and stuff. The name could just indicate his sense of humor, or that Garrus is his favorite character, too. =^_^=

Well, some say the best way to disappear is to hide is in plain sight, that would be sort of cool.

I also like the extra dialog you get with Garrus in there, poor guy!

Looking at the Mass Effect 2 - Alternate Appearance Pack jj0ck33 video he uploaded, Thane's costume is a rather deep red and black.. and Thane tells you (In the video even) that because of the treatment he has had on his eyes, he can't tell teh difference between dark red and black. JOKE'S ON THANE? Ha. Maybe he means a darker shade of red though.

Yeah, you know, scarily enough Garrus' attitude in ME2 fits the whole "impress Shepard" attitude very well. Wakes up in sick bay, feels like Hell, face is haphazardly held together by grafts, but no rest for the wounded! Must go show Shepard how tough he's gotten! She'll be so proud.

LOL- I'll bet Garrus also had a WWSD bracelet made after she died/he went to Omega.

"My bones are aching. That's a common drell precursor to...respiratory illness." why do I have so many images of being mean to Thane, I don't even dislike him

"What are you wearing Garrus?"

"..Nothing at all."

Blah, could totally make that all stoic!

Lol, I don't know Eno. I took him along with me on that mission and didn't even THINK about it. OOPS. It would suck a bunch to have achy bones along with respitatory illness, all the time. And it's probably because it's just funny to "be mean", when you know you really can't get them killed that way (Plague Zone, Garrus?)

I felt a little bad when I realized that I was traveling across the galaxy and uprooting people from their lives to come work for me and never using anyone but the first three people I recruited (Garrus+Mordin or Garrus+Grunt).

Hmm... to be fair, most of them do play a really important part in the suicide mission, so perhaps even though you only have a squad of two with you on missions, you don't notice it, but the rest of your squad are actually attending to vital tasks, but you don't notice, because you see a couple of them lounging about when the Normandy isn't on a mission. I mean, I think I see Jack up in the third level of the Normandy during the events at the Omega 4 relay, actually, doing something useful, probably. Who knows, maybe somebody... takes over calibrations when Garrus's with Shepard? *cough*

...Dear lord, massive overload in my mind of every character's voice (From Grunt to Zaeed) going "Can it wait for a bit? I'm in the middle of some calibrations"

I overuse Garrus, myself. I do find my choice of third member changing, though. Samara, Jack and Miranda, mainly. I roleplayed Shepard as trusting Garrus enough to lead a team of his own during the suicide mission, and so Garrus was taken over by Grunt for Shepard's team.

Nissun, your friend actually managed to do that from the scribbles? I'm impressed, he's managed to express a lot, actually.

The pic of the funeral... it really does give across the sorrow behind it. I think it's the expressions, their arrangement and clothing, and the black and white gradient and colouring. Wrex seems a little odd there, but otherwise it's an amazing find.

I took Garrus into the plague zone. He told ManShep that he'd be there if he needed him, and he wouldn't let a cough deter him, and ManShep appreciates Garrus by his side, but wouldn't have taken him if Garrus didn't want to do it, but Garrus didn't mind, so ManShep took him. Lucky Mordin cured him. Really quickly, too. Probably would have done the same with FemShep.

Edit: ...Actually, what about helmets? Do they wear a helmet in there? I don't remember. Unless the plague can seep through that, I can't remember/don't know.

I lack the badass-badness to play Renegade, so I'm always going to go Paragon. I think I see the Sidonis event as Shepard deciding that s/he should get Sidonis to tell the full story, to put Garrus's mind at ease and help in making his decision. If Sidonis was all bad, and Garrus still wanted to take the shot after Sidonis finished talking, Shepard would have stepped aside, but if Garrus saw some good in Sidonis, then Garrus could decide to let him go, and not have to spill more blood. I understand the feelings behind revenge, but I don't like taking it if there's another option.

Haven't got the ally achievements yet. I'd probably end up with Garrus's and Wrex's in the end.

If that's Jacob's handwriting... well, I guess with Shepard going after Garrus, the two other romances still had needs. Jacob needs his priize.

*looks at massive block of catchup text just written* FFF....

Oh crap, I lied. In my first playthrough, Grunt sometimes switched seats with Samara. I love Samara. But this is the wrong thread to say I love Samara.

So, Garrus.

LMAO. He won second place. Hope he's happy with his priiize (I lol everytime I see someone typing 'priiize')

Yeah, I just can't bring myself to play Renegade. My friend once told me "It's like you have a double concence!" or something. Bad enough to actually be SHOCKED when I first let the people die on Zaeed's loyalty (I needed his loyalty! But then he told me I can paragon it, so reset that part), and allowed Garrus to kill Sidonis.

I started to paragon him in the car, but Garrus sounded SO passionate and determined to "make things right", that I just let him take control of the situation entirely. I now stop him on each play-though, but interesting how I allowed myself to back down once conflict started in the conversation.

The first play-through had hardly any renegade points accumulated.. But I now take some of the renegade actions. They are quite fun, but I don't do any that are just a touch over the top, like pushing the guy out the window. I always spare him.. But I do take the one with Miranda in her loyalty mission, because it makes me laugh ;x.

The scared salarian face eh? That's priiizeless to see.

But yes, I am also someone who sucks at playing renegade. My mainShep is supposed to be me, and I'm superparagon IRL. My second playthrough with mainShep was renegade, and my goodness, I felt bad with every renegade option. Especially the dying salarian in the Dantius towers. Geez, I felt depressed for the rest of the week.

I'm doing another renegaderun right now, but this time with a maleShep that's so incredibly ugly and doesn't look like me at all... and still I feel bad every time :pinched:. That's the last time I'll do renegade in ME2.

I concur about Zaeed- I hated him a lot when I did his mission without knowing I could Paragon it and get his loyalty, so it felt sooooo good when my Paragon punched him in the face the next PT. Garrus was watching, probably really pleased since I'd done his loyalty mission already and he could see I wasn't being a hypocrite. I like Paragoned Zaeed much better.

Feh. You don't have to be a badass to be a Renegade...just a d-bag. I refer back to misting up over letting that Salarian die in Dantius towers. I didn't have Garrus with me but I still could hear him telling me we had to help the guy....anyway, I'm done with her now, 'till ME3. Thank gawd.

With my uber-Paragon I sometimes had a hard time being super nicey-nice, so it was gratifying when she got to be tough (again, punching Zaeed). Now that I have a full bar I just go with the flow, though. And...okay, most of the Renegade interrupts are too hard to resist. Love interrupts. And Garrus.
