I'm alright with the blue-lady. I just found Jack a little too outright crazy, so I preferred another biotic.

Jacob: I won't pretend I've got a fetish for assassins, but this isn't about that. This is about the priiize.

The first play-through had hardly any renegade points accumulated.. But I now take some of the renegade actions. They are quite fun, but I don't do any that are just a touch over the top, like pushing the guy out the window. I always spare him.. But I do take the one with Miranda in her loyalty mission, because it makes me laugh ;x.

The scared salarian face eh? That's priiizeless to see.

I laughed.

I remember lacking Paragon points to make Miranda like me again, survive the Tali-Legion conflict and Paragon Zaeed. So I ended up retraining my passive ability to the 100% one, and visited every single shop that I could find.

"I'm Flammie, and this is my favourite boringly menial mind-numbing task,"

I don't like Renegades. Partly because I don't have any of the qualities for it, but also because I actually dislike that attitude a fair amount.

I felt a little bad when I realized that I was traveling across the galaxy and uprooting people from their lives to come work for me and never using anyone but the first three people I recruited (Garrus+Mordin or Garrus+Grunt).

Hmm... to be fair, most of them do play a really important part in the suicide mission, so perhaps even though you only have a squad of two with you on missions, you don't notice it, but the rest of your squad are actually attending to vital tasks, but you don't notice, because you see a couple of them lounging about when the Normandy isn't on a mission. I mean, I think I see Jack up in the third level of the Normandy during the events at the Omega 4 relay, actually, doing something useful, probably. Who knows, maybe somebody... takes over calibrations when Garrus's with Shepard? *cough*

Grunt, Zaeed, and Thane have no function other than combat support, though. And you can go through the Relay with just Gunt, Mordin, Jacob, Miranda, Garrus, Jack, and Legion and survive just fine (if they're loyal). Thane in particular doesn't have a job on the ship at all, just sits there in Life Support, ****** to his dead wife staring at the wall. I realized on my last playthrough that I just recruit the disc 2 characters out of a completionist compulsion. (though Thane is incredibly useful fighting Collectors on Insanity)

If that's Jacob's handwriting... well, I guess with Shepard going after Garrus, the two other romances still had needs. Jacob needs his priize.

Oh man, I couldn't let the dying salarian die EVER in the towers, that's just so mean. I hear that if you have Mordin, he'll give you a sort of "PLEASE". My friend dared me to do a full renegade run (max bar), but I've yet to even try it, haha. My friend is much more renegade.

I take the paragon "PUNCH IN THE FACE" option every time on Zaeed's mission now, too. Hahaha. It's revenge for killing Vido (Have to let the workers die.. I play music at that part ALWAYS.) He's a card of a character though. I never hated him for it, but it's totally a :( moment that really pulls at the heart strings..

Yeah, some renegade interrupts are just so great~. I didn't find too much wrong with being so nice, although Elnora DID bite me in the butt later on (Doh).

Gogo gadget Garrus.

Not gonna lie, that's my desktop background. For the most part, Renegade Interrupts = God Tier, Renegade Conversation Options = Douche Tier.

I decided Elnora dies every time. Especially when she pulls that gun on me and mine (Thane and Garrus were with me) and we all just calmly stood there and emptied the heatsink into her.

The voice acting of that salarian is a job well done. It breaks my heart when he's pleading for help. And the interrupt option lasts really long... I did the mission yesterday, let him die, and I can still hear his voice. :crying:

But, Garrus.

Hmm... but you can't just have a squad of tactical geniuses, you do need a bit of muscle and power, so I guess that's why TIM got you to find an assassin and a merc, and also a krogan warlord, though you ended up with his perfect creation. Who knows, maybe Thane does something a little more constructive in there.

Don't you need Tali for the Normandy shield, too?

Indeed, I hold feelings for my light fixtures, as well.

Damn, you've made me laugh twice in your post.

...Need more Garrus. Nao.

Y'know, looking at the scene right before Garrus got hit by the missile, he gets ambushed by the gunship's gunfire, and he manages to get to cover. He looks fine, not in the best condition but he pulled through that. Why did he jump out when the missile shot out? Right at the start of the recruitment mission, you see how he quite skillfully jumps out and nails one of the recruits right after a missile blows up near him. I guess as time went on he wore down, so maybe his senses wore a bit thin, but I always wondered that. The only reason I can think of is a lapse in judgement, but I'm not sure.

I mean in terms of being in character, rather than Bioware using it as a story-telling device, such as that little scene at the end of their romance.

Image IPB

(copied from the front page)

I mean, he can see what the gunship is doing from where he is, it appears.

Anyway! Turians. Yes. I love when you guys post these screencaps (am I in the minority with my XBox version?) so I can, uh, study turian anatomy. Speaking of which, something that made me laugh- I just realized the "humans are all racist" turian has a really...small....fringe. Image IPB

I play the X-box version. Doesn't make it any less of a minority, but eh. Really small fringe? I've got to check it out next time.

Well, I wouldn't like a betrayal, but I don't think I can elaborate any more on what has already been said.

Hmm... how often does everyone here use Garrus? Been checking out new artwork on DA (siltonata's uploaded her hoodie, if anybody wanted to see it again). Anyway, this picture made me realise that I really do overuse him, and it may apply to some of you all, perhaps.

I'm going to ship this SO HARD.

But at the same time...thinking of Jacob as a tsundere type makes me want to cry as it is my favorite moe stereotype.

That and...well...foreheads. So I guess that's where Garrus comes in.

There are a few Renegade options my Shepards will probably never take, but I do have a few mostly Renegade playthroughs planned out. :) My sentimental favorite Shepard will probably be a Renegon. (He saves/doesn't kill some people to get information out of them. xD I can't wait to see his "shortest interrogation ever.")

enormousmoonboots wrote...

If this is true, then my turian-loving Shepard forgives him. :) And secretly jumps for joy.

Shepard #2: So turians do like me, they just keep it a secret. :D
Shepard #7: Tough luck, man. You missed your chance! She met you before she met Garrus.

Also, that Shepard on the lower right made me laugh out loud. xD
