This makes perfect sense, think about it. The most hated race on omega other than the vorcha are humans. Remember no one cared about the batarian bartender because no one cared that he was poisoning humans. So it stands to reason that humans were the ones most positively affected by Garrus's good deeds. Making a human title perfectly reasonable.

I didn't think of this but I agree. Good reasoning.

Also olny in my second playthrough I noticed body bags in Garrus' HQ. It really struck me. Hell of psychological trauma to put 10 close friends into cadaver pouches.

Where?? How could I miss that?! Poor Garrus.=(

.... Now I'm going to have to replay the mission again and it's all your fault, Pannamaslo XD

BUT, you can hit on Mordin!??!? when??? how??? argh! Why does my game have so many bugs :crying::crying:.  I knew you could get rejected by Samara but....it makes me smirk actually when even before Morinth Shep tries to pat Samara on the arm or something and she's like ew.don't.touch.me.

You can't, actually - it's just that if you haven't initiated a romance yet, he gives you the 'medical matters' conversation because you keep talking with him, asking personal questions, hanging out in his lab (granted, a lot of that's for upgrades) and he wants to keep things professional. It's really cute actually.

Sorry guys XD I was just walking around HQ. Saw big double bed, huge kitchen, 6 small beds and like 8 body bags. Brown things on the floor. Made me sad a little inside. It's like 100 % PTSD predictor for Garrus.

Damn it... I really need to start paying attention to the surroundings. Mostly I just go:  "Well, this place looks... dark. And... red. OH HEY SHINY SHINY AMMO AMMO MEDI GEL WHOO! :D"

...I apologize to game designers everywhere.

I was too focused on the fact that Garrus was flirting with me to notice the body bags.

What?!? It was startling!

I'll have to look around next time a lot more carefully.

It's extremely depressing just knowing that. Knowing he had to do it, no less.. No wonder he was broken

Yeah, I was all "Why are there Silent Hill 'door' monsters all over the floor in Garrus's bedroom?" and then I went "OH!" like I do where I get this adorable look of dawning realization that all my friends seem to live for.

EDIT: There are bunk beds in other areas of the place, too. I assume the really big bed was for Garrus. Cuz... he's Garrus.

Body bags? That makes it even worse for Garrus. This is the reason I don't ever let him kill Sidonis. Garrus would never forget about it, just look at his team and C-Sec, he never stops mentioning those two. I couldn't let him make that mistake again, he'd probbly remember it forever. Plus he knew it was wrong to do it, Persuasion (charm or intimidate) are not even necessary to make him stop. If he really wanted to shoot Sidonis he woúldn't have stopped no matter what.

I can't remember exactly what he said to greet my Shep, but I looked over at my husband and asked, "Wait, did GARRUS?  Just flirt with me?"  My husband made some crack about being jealous of a pixilated alien.

It seemed pretty flirty to me, and I wasn't looking for it - I was a turian fan, but not a Garrus fan, at that point.  (I remembered him being kinda wishywashy and whine-tastic in ME1. "My job sucks. My life sucks. I didn't get to be a badass cuz I'm a daddy's boy. whine whine whine." And then, as has been said before, he turned into Batman, and holee $#!+! Batman!)

@ Pannamaslo

It took me three playthroughs to notice the body bags (I'm not good at shooters, so I'm usually too busy getting killed in the combat segments to notice details), but yes, I had the same reaction. It made Garrus' sadness in our initial encounter much more understandable to me; the first two times I went through the base I was a bit surprised at his lack of enthusiasm when I showed up, back from the dead. But then I realized that he was holed up all alone in his base, surrounded by enemies, with all his friends lying scattered around in body bags, probably right where the mercs left them after torturing them to death. It also makes it harder for me to paragon him during the Sidonis quest...I keep remembering the body bags...

Cuh-rap. I never noticed the body bags either. I think I as vaguely cognizant of the bunk beds and kitchen, don't remember a double bed. I was too focused on, you know...trying to keep him alive >.<

And yeah, for me he only ever seemed dejected/exhausted, not flirty. even though Shep said "GARRUS!" and held her arms out. hug rejected.

I just went and looked for the body bags ... And there they were.

... So depressing. =(

Things like that make me wish we could've had more conversations with Garrus about his time on Omega. And more conversations overall of course =B

There were body-bags? :( Poor guy. And with the mercs hunting for him, he can't exactly move them, and I suspect there aren't exactly burial grounds for people on Omega... not to mention no authorities to take care of that.

Re: Archangel as a name: I assumed it was a clunky transmitter translation, or just one of the things locals picked up from humans or just a generally local name. Didn't really pay that much attention to it aside from the chance to tease him for it - his reaction is adorable (But, uh, it's just Garrus to you *cough*).

If Udina finds out about Shep and Garrus, he's going to have a fit.

Re: Archangel and translators - and then I wonder, since apparently the Drell also have 'angels'... maybe there are/were a Vorlon-like race and many of today's cultures have an 'angel' reference. Turians probably not so much, though apparently they do have mythology enough to base an MMO from it.

I just wish there was more dialouge between you and garrus, actually scratch that, i wish there was more dialouge between you and your squad mates in general. Hope when they release dlc they could expand on that a wee bit.

And what the hell is wrong with you people? I see a lot of weird people fantasizing about having sex with garrus :blush:. On my part, Garrus is the most badass character next to wrex which therefore means that on almost all the missions he will be my wingman.

I'm actually hoping for scandals with Garrus and Shepard being together. I can imagine both species saying all kinds of things. I can also imagine the Alliance destroying Shepard's career even more after they find out.

Not so much the fantasizing about sexin' up Garrus, but Wrex's voice had me at "Tell Fist I WILL kill him". I know. I have no idea how it'd work, if it'd work, but as long as I could listen to Wrex talk I'd be a happy woman. Hated myself so much for renegade Shep letting Ash gank him on Virmire.

But yeah, my happiest playthrough for ME1 had Wrex and Garrus, and I was happy as a clam to get Garrus back for ME2.
