30 years is still a long time, perhaps if you compare it to the history of the world it may not be, but for humans and turians a lot can happen in 30 years. Sure, there probably will be some bitter feelings between them, especially with the humans' apparent need to dominate (Cerberus) pretty much translating forwards even in galactic space, and the alien's obligation to make sure humans stay in line, which to be honest I think they're entitled to.
I guess there will be people who will call out the relationship and condemn it, but it happens a lot. Turians and humans seem to be able to settle their differences and work together sometimes, such as when they built the Normandy, and I guess a few relationships can start from there. I guess as time goes on and wounds heal, perhaps they'll finally agree, and humans have a place amongst the others and the others have amongst each other.
Shepard and Garrus will probably be a prime example of fixing the wounds, and trying not to let the past get in the way. They're probably not going to care when Space-Heat-Sink magazine starts prying into their every little detail, because that doesn't really matter, they're the ones who have feelings for each other, they're not in a relationship with the press, and that should be all that matters. Let them do what they want to do. Sure, there's controversies, but still. Nobody should be stopping them.
And:
Garrus: Has the camera stopped filming us?
Shepard: Yes.
Garrus: Faded to black, right?
Shepard: Yes.
Garrus: Don't have to pretend to be awkward, now?
Shepard: Yes.
Garrus: Kiss me now woman.
Shepard: Yes.
*They go at it*
