Ah, now I know. And thanks for the whole "tea with lemon" explanation you kindly added for me a while ago. It made me feel very enlightened.

To up the badassery of the Garrus fan thread (as if that were possible), can I just say that I'm posting on my break from my work as a pirate. Seriously. I'm dressed in my shirt, waistcoat and boots as I type. And we all know pirates are pretty badass.... right?

...I don't want/know how to dignify that with an answer. I shall innocently sit here and twiddle my thumbs. Unless you wish to kill me or use some sort of pirate term on me. Then I shall hide behind Garrus. Which is a negative step towards this thread not being too weird.

I'm not sure pathetic is the right word for this thread.

Hmm, it's not strictly related, though you can link it to Garrus, but in ME1 did anyone give the evidence directly to Lorik Qui'in, or make him testify?

I made him testify. You can actually exploit that conversation for infinate paragon/renegade points.

To clarify - my job does actually involve me perfroming as a pirate. I'm not crazy... (well, not like that, anyway. Image IPB)

Yaaaarrrrrrrr!

(Also, Garrus)

Ah, I see. Apologies, then. I'll admit I still find it slightly unusual, but I'm not going to hold it against you. You're nice enough, pirate or not.

Apparently Lorik Qui'in gives you a lovely message if you give the evidence directly to him in ME2. Plus, he does sound quite annoyed when you tell him to testify. I don't know. Argh, why must I be so indecisive about everything...

I'm aware of the exploiting glitch, but apparently that messes your save up, I'm not sure.

I wonder, what would have to be done before Garrus stops calibrating? Suicide mission and impending doom of reapers, and he still calibrates. It might be interesting to see Garrus get a mild illness, not like the plague.

Garrus: Cab it waib for bit, I'm, ugh, *cough* ib the middle of some *cough* cabilat-*sneezes*

I'm glad you liked it. I was born to make people feel enlightened.

As for Lorik: I let him testify. I'm doing a new singleShep ME1 PT and I'll give him the evidence this time. MUST HAVE E-MAIL.

What it would take to get Garrus off his damn calibrations? Hire someone for this job. I wonder what his next excuse will be for not having the time to talk.

Saved. I have saved that. So saved.

I gues it's growing on me too, from the pictures. Haven't actually played ME2 for ages.

I'm going to have to do a lot of digging, but I can support that. Watch this space.

Edit: Found it.

There are 72 virgin Garruses waiting for us in Garrus Heaven. All you have to do is believe in Him and calibrate five times a day.

Yeah, the email is swaying me, too. I don't know what's inside, but apparently it's full of misused human idioms. I really like Lorik, actually. He's really refined, and a handsome turian. Probably too old for me, but what can you do.

Imagine you started romancing him when the employee was there.

21, baby.  That's gotta be at most 9 years younger or something.    Although, I can see how it would be hard to tell since I go around doing stuff like silly hoodies, and playing pokemon, and watching disney movies every night.  I am perpetually 6-years old at heart.

Or we could go by the opposite logic that most of my friends hold:  Sewing + knitting + old people music + crazy plant lady= SILT YOU ARE A 40-YEAR OLD WOMAN.  (Hey, I don't mind.  There's nothing wrong with that.)

EDIT: Dude, that post had a depressing lack of Garrus in it. I apologize.

I think you said that, and I grasped at my faded memory when I made that comment. I also kind of judged at your figure (please don't kill me) about 21/22 in your hoodie pictures. To be honest, I hold a couple of those "you're a 40 year old woman" qualities you listed, as well as those "6 years old at heart" qualities. I must really be messed up.

So what, I'm at most... uh, 15 years younger...

...I've got absolutely no chance at all. *sob*

I don't do any of that, but still feel like a 6-years old. That's probably why I feel like pedobear is watching us when I flirt with Thane. "Get away... you... serious... old... man."

Garrus still feels young and joyful. I want him to push me when I'm sitting on a pink swing. Weeeee! Someone should draw this.

Actually, yeah, that's one of the things that turned me off of Thane, now that you mention it.  Maturity is cool, but Garrus's hotheaded streak makes him feel quite...young.  Which appeals to me because you know...young mahself.

Don't worry Flammie, I ain't offended. :P  I look younger than my age (and am still at the brief point in life where that's a bad thing).  Can't tell if my figure looking young is an insult or a compliment though...we'll just go with the neutral word, "observation", howzat?
Edit: Hurr hurr nevermind, I didn't read your comment quite right. I'm a dummie.

I agree with this. Thane also seems older than he really is because he's already got an adult (or nearly adult) son.

Okay, I've balked, hemmed and hawed about posting this. But... may as well bite the bullet and do so.

Near Solitude *Potentially NSFW* (it's no more revealing than the turian concept art that's out there, but better to be safe than sorry)

To put this into context -and yes, there IS context-:

This picture was/is from a story that I still have yet to write. Long story short (ha), Garrus has a heart-to-heart with EDI about things. It's an interesting concept, but I'm blocked pretty hard.

I dunno. This is not one of my better works and I'm not pleased with it at all. Everything I tried turned out crappy and whatnot. It's just a hideous looking piece and yeah. I just don't do well with color shading that isn't orange/red, heh heh. And before anyone says anything, I'm always negative about my own work so there. Ehehehehe

But then again, part of this was done to rail against the people who draw adult Garrus art and NOT draw the actual turian body. Those people are lazy and have no respect for the character IMO. If they wanna get off on an alien with a human body, there's always Thane or Liara. *shrug*

I would appreciate it if people did NOT see this as a sexual piece and make juvenile comments about it, because that was not my intention when I created this.

'k, gonna do some shopping and head out for a bit.

I also look younger than my age. People say it's a compliment, but it doesn't feel like that when they ask for your ID when you're buying cigarettes. Minimum age is 16 here, I'm 22. HELLO?! (yes, I smoke. In the Mass Effect Universe only evil people smoke, therefore I am now officially evil.)

Regarding Thane: nothing wrong with older men, but I want someone I can relate too. He's too serious about everything. The fact that he's dying might have to do something with that, but it doesn't give him a wildcard. :P

Of couse Garrus can be serious too, but he's still someone I can imagine having fun with off-duty.

No, nothing wrong with older men.  Good example is Carth: He's in the same boat as Thane, has a son, older (probably) than Revan. But Carth knows how to joke, laugh and have fun.  While Carth isn't my favorite bioware romance of all time, I'm still quite fond of him and I like him heaps of a lot better than Thane for a romance. (Gotta be clear about this, because it's so easy to sound like you're attacking a character when saying why you don't prefer their romance.)

Just so you know... I'm 36 and STILL get carded, but it's become a compliment at this point and is no longer quite as tiresome.

Despite being not too much older than me, Thane acts MUCH older than me, IRL.    But then, Garrus and Kaidan both start making me feel like a cougar after awhile.

I haven't played DA, but it sounds like Carth has a personality that appeals to me more than Thane's. And I'm also talking about his romance, Thane is a good friend, but nothing more. Poor guy.

All teh luv goes to Garrus.

@ Meta Ray Mek: I like that piece of art.
