I wonder, what would have to be done before Garrus stops calibrating? Suicide mission and impending doom of reapers, and he still calibrates. It might be interesting to see Garrus get a mild illness, not like the plague.

Garrus: Cab it waib for bit, I'm, ugh, *cough* ib the middle of some *cough* cabilat-*sneezes*

Garrus with a cold and refusing to stop working is a freaking adorable mental image.  I need to hug him now.

I haven't played DA, but it sounds like Carth has a personality that appeals to me more than Thane's.

If you can stomach the trust issue that he talks about for so long...

Well... to be fair, you ARE playing the most evil being in the galaxy since.... ever.

And.... Garrus.

Well in Revan's point of view the Jedi are evil.  *is so not a Star Wars nerd:whistle:*

Also...Garrus

Nah, I played LS Revan, I redeemed myself.  And Carth was THE HARDEST person to romance ever. ;)

And, Garrus .

oh I played LSF Revan too. I played DS once and felt dirty by the end of it. Dammit. Now I wanna play KOTOR and Jade Empire. Too bad there's no Garrus in either of those.

I couldn't kill that cat girl and Jolee Bindo to go Dark Side.  I just couldn't.

Also, you're right, replaying it has a distinct lack of Garrus.

Carth didn't know that and the player didn't know that. I guess I played the game too fast because Carth never progressed beyond "I don't trust you lol" before the reveal of who the player character really was. Female players got shorted because they didn't even get a kiss from him. No reason why.

I wanted to eventually do a dark side playthrough, but I'd have to kill Jolee in the process. I can't do that. Kotor's PC will be forever be Republic for me.

It's been awhile since I played it, but it felt like he'd gotten beyond that when that particular bomb was dropped and did trust you before that reveal.

But then, Garrus.

Carth never bothered me. Of course he's gonna have issues. You can't have life screw you over that much and expect to come out unscathed. Same with Garrus. Once Shepard died, the universe took a giant **** on his life. He has issues too. I'd be bothered if he went through all that and wasn't affected at all.

A lot of you have said it was better for Garrus not to kill Sidonis. But how about Saleon? Same case?

And Shep gets to have as many issues as you want to give her.

A lot of times you need to imagine the issues - or the underlying causes of them. Jacob's romance is the only one that seems to ask how Shepard is feeling, it seems. They should incorporate that into other romances, just as they did with Dragon Age. I'm fairly certain that Alistair asks how the Warden is feeling.

I think the assumption is that Garrus should already know and doesn't have to ask. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Yea. It really gives a sense that the relationship is more believable and gives an avenue for you to characterize and roleplay your Shepard more. For all of Jacob's romance failings, asking her about how she's feeling was spot on.

Meta Ray Mek, it's nice to see you. I saw the picture on Deviant Art, actually, and I liked it.

I don't generally like guessing an age, because I often get it wrong. I just wait until the person wishes to say it, or just not think about it.

I haven't played DA, actually. Carth sounds interesting, but I think I'd agree with Cerrydd, all the love from me goes to Garrus, right now.

I liked the relationships in Mass Effect, though yeah, I would have liked Garrus to be a little more personal. Of course, both the dialogues before the suicide mission involve Garrus's nervousness, and I think it was an interesting issue to focus on.

Shep's reseponses to Jacob are quite non-committal. lol. I agree more asking her for her feelings would be nice, but between them, Shep and Garrus are two of the most stoic 'feelings' people in the galaxy. Can you imagine them having a 'realtionship' conversation?

"Do you want to talk about this?"
"I'm good. You?"
"Meh."
"OK,so... full contact sparring, then?"
"'K"

Edit: seems I typed 'Garrus' when I meant 'Jacob'. It's hard to look past his awesomeness sometimes.

Since Garrus isn't fat, I figured Grunt's head looks better on that body.

on the subject of sparring...

Shep: off with the armor Vakarian, this is  FULL CONTACT sparring, you can't cheat"

Garrus: *smirks* Commander, if I didn't know any better I'd think was a ploy to see me half-naked"
Shep: Image IPB... what? nooo....Image IPB  no, that's...that's not it at ALL... I can't believe you'd turn sparring, the LEAST sexual form of sport between two people, into an innudendo! For shame Garrus.

Garrus: Sorry commander, I'll take off my armor right away
Shep: ... Image IPB...for science...

Garrus: What?

Shep: Nothing
