On kids: Biological children don't make sense. I would accept adopted children, but I doubt f ME3 is the right place to see any. I woudl think that would happen a few years down the road.

I can't stand when Shepards in fics are weak, childish, dependent. I was reading one the other day and the character behaved like a middle schooler. Just shrill. Frowned, closed the tab, wished I could Khalisa Al-Jilani the author. But that would probably mean hitting a child half my age.

I love Garrus. He was my first Romance option as femshep. I love Thane too, but I just love the turian. How can anybody not love Garrus?

Eh, some people can be pretty abrupt with the hate.

I have a hard time hating any of the characters...

even Zaeed's grown on me (albeit that's only because of these really cool fanfics I've read...)

Avoiding Mary Sue Shepards doesn't seem too difficult. You just need to give Shepard some believable personality flaws. There are certain things you can't do without ruining the character, for example, you can't make her a weak fighter or a bad leader. Those traits just don't make sense in regards to Shepard. She's strong, confident, and not overly emotional (or at least doesn't appear to be). Perhaps she isn't necessarily confident in all areas of life, but when it comes to being a leader or just a soldier in general, she is definitely confident. I also can't imagine her being as dependent and weepy as some fanfics portray.

But still, certain things are doable. The hard part is giving her flaws while still making her an overall likable character (unless you WANT the readers to hate her).

I'm still scarred from reading those bad fanfiction where the greatest flaw the main character has is being too beautiful or awesome. It's funny as hell sometimes but it makes you wonder...what they were thinking.

Sucks, cause now I'm trying to find more Garrus fic to read.

I find some fic really annoying and keep on reading just to wonder at the absurdity.

I don't like it when Shepard has a name, usually one I can't even pronounce, or describing her looks like clear crystal watery eyes and long silky veloury hair that makes nice waves when the wind blows.

I don't even want to list the so many retarded ways Shepard behaves or the nonsense coming out of her mouth. Some can't make a step without cursing or stating the obvious to Garrus like he's mentally slow, like turians are all alike and humans are "speciuuul". Because everyone out there besides humans, have no personality whatsoever and they are all clones of each other. Remember the elevator discussion between Kaidan and Wrex?

And Garrus...he's a mess in some fic. Besides the name I really don't see any similarity, and at times he acts exactly like a second Shepard.

I did find some fic good. Some even made me feel all warm and fuzzy but some made my eyes bleed.

I also dislike the idea of Shepard and Garrus having a baby, and I've seen this in several fics. The hilarious thing was that they didn't even bother describing how the child looked like. Had no clue if it was turian, human, both or just somethingn there. It was just a baby, plain and simple...also, he had his father's eyes.

You mean both Shepard and Garrus are the epitome of perfection. =P 

If DNA and cross species infertility wasn't an issue, their babies would be the human equivalent of pitt and jolies babies. Only they'd be a 1000X more beautiful.
