Somebody said some pages back that they ventured out into the main forums and couldn't stand the negativity, so they ran back to the warm fuzzy safe haven of this thread. I had the same experience, heh.

It is generally peaceful in here...maybe that's why we have fewer pages than most other fan threads--less fighting. :)

That would be me.  And my skin has gotten thicker.  Must have been like Forum PMS er something... it was a rough week in the general forums...
But for now it's calmed... a bit.  Sorta.  (Ok probably not.)

Garrus.

Hm. The people from the Garrus thread seem almost as nice as the people in the Tali thread, except that I assume most of you are women. I like it here.

...

Wait-- that came out wrong.

Sorry, stephi...I couldn't remember who it was.
Personally, I am thin-skinned and tend to get upset about stuff that probably shouldn't upset me.  Therefore, I usually try to avoid threads that I know will get under my skin.  I wish I wasn't like that, but it appears that's just how God made me.  Oh, well...there's always Garrus to make it all better.

@Mukora - Have you come to bask in the estrogen? XD There's a few guys who hang out in this thread as well, and give good conversational points for the epic Bromance that is MShep/Garrus.
But yea, for the most part, Garrus /squeeing is had by meus wommenz.

So, got another turian question to lay out there:
Human civilization had the horse.
What do you think might be the xenology equivalent on Palaven?
Something with four legs (like an equine) or two (chocobo sans feathers)?
I is curious (and bored)...

The only epic bromance I remember with Garrus was in ME1. In ME2 it's calibrations this, calibrations that. I god damn hate calibrations.

No clue, but hopefully we can find out in ME3 and visit Palaven.  That would be fun. :P Of course, an ME MMO (bane to some, heaven-sent to others) would let us delve into all of this more deeply.  I'm still surprised more about the various races/species (especially turians considering their popularity) hasn't been revealed/delved into by BW.  Heck, we don't even know Garrus' age at this point...which is a shame.  I hope they eventually remove those "classified" slots and give us some Garrus info on the website.

I actually have to do calibrations as part of my job.  I can't do them anymore without sort of laughing to myself (and waiting for my boss to walk in and ask me for something so I can say, "Can it wait for a bit?  I'm in the middle of calibrating the spectrophotometer." ).

Yea, same here.  And while I'd much prefer a table top book to an MMO, honestly, I don't care how I get more of this 'verse.  I'll take it any way I can get it.
If we get to visit a Turian/Salarian/Hanar controlled world in ME3, I'll be in blissful heaven.
I wonder how long it'll take them to get rid of the classified on the main site?  Probably by the time I should make sure I stop looking, because then the ME3 spoilers will start showing up... and I don't know if I want to spoil anything for ME3... gah!  Necro topic!

ME MMO summons the same feelings in me as a ME movie: do. not. want.

But hey, if it's out there, I'll still play and see it. lol

Lol, I have mixed feelings.  I would at least try it out to see if it was worth the sub, but I also have to admit that most mmo's released are garbage.  And odds are that an ME MMO would be garbage, just because most dev companies can't seem to "get it right."  Some do better than others, though.  I think we'll be able to judge how well a Mass Effect mmo might work out with how BW handles TOR.  Granted, I'm sure they'd be handled by different teams, so it isn't a definitive measure to go by, but it's a good indicator of how the business overall handles mmo's.

A giant ME-universe encycolopedia would be AWESOME.  I'm just desperate for more ME stuff. X3

If turians are like apex predators and can take down prey with just claws and teeth (claws and teeth!) maybe they never used mounts?

Garrus has decided to come relax in his thread:
Image IPB
He requests a tupari.  Oh god I am bored as well.

This might be a stupid question but how do Shepard and Garrus drink the same wine when he shows up in her cabin?  Shouldn't the dextro whatever thing apply to alcohol?

Chocobos are cool.
We have no idea of the xenology of the Turian homeworld as far as I know. In fact, all we've seen in terms of wildlife in this game are vorcha, bugs, and walker crabs.
And cows and monkeys.

I just assumed he brought the wine for her.  It kind of fit in with "hmm, I think this is part of a human courtship ritual, along with hideous techno music" :P

Wine doesn't have amino acids. Levo or Dextro.

He was trying too hard to impress her and make things work between them. He said it himself he wanted for one thing to go right. But I say he was trying way too hard and it turned out to be awkwardly sweet.

Also, he might have not been able to afford a second wine for himself from his vigilante salary.

"Hey look, I bought myself some wine. You just sit there and watch me drink."

This fan thread is by far the most laid back relaxed place on this forum. Everyone else seems to constantly fight and bicker back and forth.

Care to elaborate?  I'm curious as to the specifics, it's one of my fav ME topics.  So does this make alcohol (and any other foods lacking proteins) universal to all species?

After much un-scientific internet research I'm leaning more towards thinking that incompatible foods (and umm fluids) would just pass through the body unprocessed 99% of the time.  Despite what is implied in the game.
Also I discovered the origin of liquid sugar.  Yeah.  Interesting.  And related.

I'm not sure about all alcohol, only wine. All it is is water and flavouring from the fruit of choice.
Here, read these--
