Eh, homosexual here, and this is the first place that I honestly can say that and not feel uncomfortable, which speaks volumes about you all. True, this is a heavily female driven thread, but I actually like it like that. Feels more like I can empathise and connect. I honestly feel like more of a girl than a boy, sometimes. Garrus love helps with the kind of connecting, too. Haven't encountered very much hate here, either. We're all friends, here. (I hope)

By the way, if you want to talk about the Bromance aspects of Garrus, I'm not the one to talk to. It's all romance and making love for me.

I've got pretty thin skin, when I read criticisms, even if not directly aimed at me, it still stings. I always manage to pretend I'm fine, though. Wonders of the non-live internet conversation. I appear a lot differently than I actually am, and nobody knows.

...Oh crap.

No idea what turians use for fast travel before they came up with technology and such. We'd have to go to Palaven to see, and you've got to think about when they're on colonies, too. Though by colonies of other planets they probably would have mastered space car travel of some sort.

ELE08, that's an awesome screenshot. Involved a lot of system editing, right? Well, that's saved as well. Every single turian picture I've found I've saved. No idea about the wine thing, actually. I think the right ideas have come up already, though.

I wouldn't really care if an ME MMO came out. There's a lot of negative feelings about it, but I've found that sometimes I actually enjoy things others hate. I may try it out if I could, though you never know, many have tried MMOs and failed.

And, Garrus. Wahey, nearly at 300. Just wait until page 299 and it'd be locked with the moderator making the 25th post.

This might be a stupid question but how do Shepard and Garrus drink the same wine when he shows up in her cabin?  Shouldn't the dextro whatever thing apply to alcohol?

Wine doesn't have amino acids. Levo or Dextro.

After much un-scientific internet research I'm leaning more towards thinking that incompatible foods (and umm fluids) would just pass through the body unprocessed 99% of the time.  Despite what is implied in the game.
Also I discovered the origin of liquid sugar.  Yeah.  Interesting.  And related.

Agreed. I feel like the amino acid thing gets taken too "seriously" by the game itself. Allergic reactions to the dextro proteins, one would think, would only be as common as any other allergy. Also, would it not be awesome to have food out there that tastes awesome but doesn't make you fat? :)
Pretty sure most alcohols would be OK. And that comment about spearmint in the article about the amino acids is interesting- it goes both ways. >:)
Thing is, they're like "ooh dextro foods are poisonous to humans", but if you go to Dark Star Shepard can drink fricking radioactive ryncol and be ok.

Just had to repost this:

Image IPB

Yeah, I guess it's the fact it's talked about so much in the game gives us the preconception that it's a massively widespread problem, really common, and OMG INGEST AND DIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!

What's funny about that is that on Tuchanca Grunt told me it would tear up my insides. But when I did drink it I didn't feel a thing. TAKE THAT GRUNT

But egg whites are commonly used to "fine" wines (remove sediment).  There may also be other compounds used; I'd have to ask my husband (he works for a winery).  So there might be trace proteins in the final product.

edited to add:  OK that's the most nitpicky thing I've ever posted :P

Obviously he bought the kind without.

I don't think "best I could afford on a vigilate's salary" would constitute a fine wine. But yes, you would have to check the ingredients to be sure.

So Garrus brought Shepard unsedimented wine? I guess there was significance to being the best he can afford on a vigilante's salary.

And... I swear the bottle Garrus got Shepard was unlabelled.

Wine technology is probably very advanced at that time. Eh, who knows.

and "fine" in my post was used as a verb (as in "fining" the wine)--confusing, I know. Sorry for that.

And I just have to add that if they lock this thread at 299 pages they are going to have one very annoyed squishie to deal with. I'll jump through this monitor and..and.... >:(

Smack a hole in it, sending billions of volts through you and killing you.

...Yes, I'm a very positive, pleasant person.

I understood what you meant by "fining" it, you did give a mini explanation afterwards.

I'd be pretty annoyed if it got locked at 299, too, though.

Woo, triple pink Garrus banner chain.

Looks at tali thread :?

I doubt they would lock this one anytime soon.

This thread is pretty tame compared to some other threads, not just the biggest one.

That's exactly what I mean...how hypocritical would that be?
And Flammie, don't think I haven't been tempted to do that, billions of volts or not...that's how frustrated I would get playing PC games sometimes. LOL

P.S.  About the Tali threads:  the first one was something like 800 pp., the second was about 1100 or something...why did they let this one get to over 5000?

P.P.S.  Garrus FTW.

I think they're using it to stress test the forums :P

Would just get big again. Also may be an experiment of how many posts and pages a thread can handle in this forum.

I'll admit, I've raged quite a bit, sometimes. Mainly I manage to keep it to myself, but that doesn't stop a little profanity escaping.

Probably gave more time before lockage, maybe they couldn't be bothered anymore. Or maybe, as the other two said, stress testing.

Hmm, little puzzle, if threads only got locked at 1000 pages, how many Talis would occur before this got locked?

And, Garrus.

C'mon, 300!

epoch_: Your Ash banner/pic make me think about how Paragon Shep quits Cerberus at the end with a big middle finger, and how in ME3 is probably gonna drive up in the shuttle to Ash's house and be all like, "Check it out! I told them where to stick their human elitism and kept the Normandy to boot. Let's go kill some Reapers, babe!"

I've actually not been spoiled either. Really looking forward to it now. I've done all the conversations with him up until then. Some absolutely hilarious stuff.

This fan thread is by far the most laid back relaxed place on this forum. Everyone else seems to constantly fight and bicker back and forth.

Reading this makes me feel good.

Also, Garrus.

My mainshep NEEDS to finish his fight with Garrus and Ashley by his side again. I used miranda and garrus, for ME2, but it just wasn't the same.

...Yeah, I probably should have directed that at somebody. Was replying to kglaser saying she's been tempted to smack a hole in her screen, billions of volts or not.

...This thread's accelerating pretty quickly.
