Garrus Love and Adoration v.2

I'm thinking I'll do a game-replay with the same character I used the first time around... Only on the hardest difficulty, and I'll make it through that Omega 4 relay with Miranda still alive even if I have to not hit Kelham during the interrogation. :/ Shame, I enjoy doing that.

I think the cuddles are adorable, even with her eyes, though the whole sitting on the couch looks awkward as hell. Seeing just the scarred side of Garrus looks a little strange. I do want to get around to getting some cuddles in ME2 when I finish with ME1. Dunno if I want to do all the Assignments, too, or head through just the main quest. Any suggestions?
You mean the assignments in ME1? I'm also doing a ME1 PT, but I haven't decided if I want to do all the assignments. This is going to be my single Shep, so I do want to finish all the assignments. But the thought of driving the Mako again kinda gets me off. What to do, what to do...
Also, Garrus.

What's the other party member in that situation? I had Grunt there doing that part. Which was kinda weird. You know even from the point of physics, Krogans seem to be a bit heavy, even without all that space armor.

Garrus cracked my heart open when he died out of nowhere because I hadn't realized that Ship Upgrades ARE good for something. I refused to accept that he was dead. Therefore:
I replayed the Omega 4 relay jump 4 times for him, once because Legion died on me. I knew Miranda was an awful choice for Biotics expert, all talk and no skill. She let Garrus get eaten by swarms all because she was too weak to hold the field up. :/ In the end she was the only person who died because she was disloyal. Legion does his job even when he's not loyal. I'll see if I can keep her alive this time.
Honest to god I hadn't been that tense for ages, I kept expecting Garrus to die unexpectedly at every cutscene. My mouse was very sweaty.

Now I can see that wrinkled, creepy smile of his while he's messing around with naked 3d models, thank you. :/If Mordin has diagrams, then either this has been done before... or he used some sort of simulation, trying to bend models and such to try and match, before recording the results.
I brought Garrus with me to Tali's trial yesterday while playing, and I found myself chuckling like a moron because during when Tali and Shepard walk down the stairs to the oh so srs trial, Garrus settles down on the stairs and wraps himself around his own legs. This is oddly cute, especially in that huge blue armor and helmet he wears on the Flotilla.
About a zillion pages ago (apologies, I can't remember who posted), there was a comment that really made me laugh...it showed that picture of Garrus hugging his knees and it said something like, "You guys go ahead with your trial...I'll just be over here thinking about cupcakes." <3:lol:

I had Legion and Garrus with me that time. Who falls off the platform is completely random, however. Grunt also ended up being the one to get saved once. FemShep is almighty

Thank goodness Garrus never died on me in my PT's. But the whole suicide mission was extremely thrilling. The idea that people could actually die was scary. When I saw Grunt being taken away by seeker swarms, I almost cried, lol. And then Garrus fell off that platform... damn, I thought my heart was going to explode.
The suicide mission still raises my heartbeat, even though I know how to keep everyone alive. But my mind keeps killing me, "Did I make the right choices? Did I upgrade everything? Is everyone really loyal?" . Aaargh.

What made me even more baffled is that Femshep seemed to just shrug it off, and Garrus was her.. I'm not going to use the term lover. It sounds so horribly sleezy.
Joker just sorta announced "We lost Garrus" and she didn't even respond.
... Maybe she didn't really love him. :B Maybe she was just lying so she could get laid by an alien, beats me. It was still weird.

I wish I could go back and play through the suicide mission again unspoiled. Nothing beats the first time I did it, my heart was pounding the whole way through. It's still fun but not as exciting.
I'm glad I'm a completionist and no one died my first time through (except Mordin WTF. I guess he tends to die easily for a lot of people.)
Later I saw video of Garrus being taken away by the seeker swarms. I think if that happened to me my first run of the suicide mission I might have literally cried. And smashed my keyboard.

On my first pt I had that same feeling on the platform at the end and was ready to shake my fist in the air and go NNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!! But phew he was okay, as I found out upgrades helped, have played through only 3 times and he hasnt died yet.

Does a picture of Garrus's father exist, anywhere? I'd like to make a pic with this caption, but his face:

Fanfiction: Technically speaking, a Mary Sue isn't just a powerful/unique character (though powerful characters are often Mary Sues). Similarly, a character can have a rough background/pathos without being a Mary Sue (Jack); it is poor writing that turns a tortured character into a Mary Sue (if everyone on board were to suddenly sympathize with her, even if it made no sense for their character). The best way I heard it described is that a Mary Sue sucks the competence out of everyone around her. Characters previously established to be the smartest, the most powerful, the most experienced, are suddenly at the beck and call of this girl who came out of nowhere.
Shepard is not a Mary Sue. She has unique qualities, and is established within the universe to be incredibly skilled, though there are people who can best her in certain fields (say, if someone were to write a fic where Shepard was a better Engineer than Tali and Tali just can't get any work done without asking Shepard for help, I would call bull****). There do exist 'Canon Sues', but they're rare. It takes some pretty big mistakes to make your own supporting characters less competent so the protag looks cooler. I guess if we're talking fic I should pimp my own, though it's already linked in the fic thread.
Actually, I think I have an explanation for this. You only get the "Commander, I wanted to thank you..." dialog for HARDCORE Paragon/Renegading him; middle-of-the-line Sheps only get something like "Huh, I'll have to think about this" after the Saleon mission, no extended conversation. So it makes sense that there's a point system for what you talk about; getting above x number of points triggers the "I wanted to thank you" conversation.Ray Joel Oh wrote...

ARE YOU SURE?!?!:
There is a point system to indicate
"Garrus pushed toward C-sec progress (paragon)" and "Garrus pushed
toward Spectres progress (renegade)"

It's so effing sudden, it just bites you in the neck. Out of nowhere, pillar stabs Garrus in the chest! Me: O.O
He is a leaf on the wind....
I didn't even know Garrus could get chest-stabbed. Thankfully, I've never lost him yet (on my 'fail-run', he was the one suadmember I let live), but that sliding down the platform on the first attempt at the suicide run was terrifying. And when he momentarily takes a shot to the gut... well, that was a long 3 seconds 'til he shrugged it off, let me tell you!
@flammie - those motivationals are stellar. Ta.
@Stephie - I have stolen your screenshots. They are now mine. You cannot have them back.
