Garrus Love and Adoration v.2

Needless to say, I refuse to dump anyone in ME except Kaidan. Sorry... but I REJOICE in rejecting him. And even though I'm a major Paragon-pansy to the end if there is a Renegade option to rub his face in your new relationship I will save before it and pick it over and over and OVER again. (I don't take betrayal very well, and his lack of trust and willingness to turn his back on his love only to then follow it up with an email was just... too much.) But again, that speaks to BW's ability to make me CARE enough to get that annoyed.
My friend on Steam and I had a very... interesting conversation over the idea of Legion as a LI. I think it's a bit too naughty to link here, but it made me laugh so hard I died twice before finishing the mission and getting safely to the ship to continue the conversation.

You expected Sims Characters to keep you captivated? The Sims doesn't even have characters.

I would totally read that. At the least, it would be...amusing.
At the most...................

Hmm, they focus on the bottle. I wonder if that means he'll drink it on his own to forget that incident. Turning him down at that point is horrible. He seems so excited when Shepard comes out of the shower with the music and the wine and all that. Plus he sounds very disappointed when you Shepard says no.
I did it once 'for science' to get some screenshots for the OP... but geez, that made me feel bad for the rest of the week. If you ever want to feel down, watch his rejection scene. It's horrible.
Why they focus on the bottle, I don't know. Probably to rub it in. "He did all this for you and you reject him? Boooo!"
Never doing it even I feel down. I mean he's finally going to express his feelings to Shepard. Plus everything has gone wrong for Garrus, he said it himself. One more thing going wrong is just going to make him feel more like everything is his fault.

Oh, I was just trying to have a variety of games listed. I tend to dip into several game types when the mood hits me. XD The SIMS has no value outside of wanting to play god a bit and kill sims in interesting ways. (Sims 2 still wins with the cow-plant.)
kg: Why am I not surprised by that? XD Hahahahah
Um...'cause I'm a sicko? :innocent:
but, as ever...Garrus...

Furthermore, I'm thinking for the next 5 pages we should all post stuff showing our utmost support, love, and adoration of Garrus to try and compensate for the depressing rejection picture.
BUT OMG I DREW GARRUS ON AN EASTER EGG AND DIDN'T DROP HIM(***yet***)!!! However I drew him in sharpy and I'm considering coloring him in. Not sure though, cause all I have is crappy crayola paint and I don't have any colors worthy of his eyes or skin color.

'Cause I found that pic in the first page. I said I'd make motivationals with the stuff at the front page. Very interesting stuff there.DrathanGervaise wrote...
I found the poster rather lulzworthy myself, but yeah, c'mon! Why would you do that to Garrus?

Esit: does this mean Shep would taste sweet to Garrus too?
Dogs lick human for the salt on their skin. :I We sweat salt, dogs like it.
Cats on the other hand don't seem to care about it, So I don't think Garrus would start licking Shepard.
On the topic of Garrus being cat-like, I always have the weird impression he'll start purring when he's comfortable.
Rejecting Garrus is indeed depressing, I accidentally clicked "I just wanna be friends" once and immediately loaded my last save, which luckily wasn't too far away. I hate it when I try to skip past long speeches and then because space bar happens to be both the "SELECT DIALOGUE OPTION" button and the "SKIP THIS ****" button, I press something by accident.
Maybe it's because I screwed with my commands to make them the ones from ME1... Setting them back to default makes it shift. Oh, I just solved my own problem. Cool.

I have the impression Garrus IS a cat. But he's based out of birds for some strange reason... he ended up looking like a cat.danitiwa wrote...

But the cat thing is because of his split overlip combined with a tiny flat nose, I want to draw whiskers on him.

Suicide mission really did make me tense up and stuff, even though I knew I had come prepared. Upgrades, loyalty and all. Apparently your squad can't die during the Occulus battle if they're with you. Far as I know Garrus gets impaled if you don't do his upgrade.
Even looking at pictures or videos of the rejection depresses me. It really is a testament to the writing and game. I mean, I thought I didn't like shooters, but Mass Effect really changed that, and engrossed me in it, too.
What really hurts about the rejection, is as said, Garrus admits that he feels everything's going wrong, but you don't see him say that when you reject him. When you know how he feels, it feels so much worse when you do reject him. It makes him feel even more vulnerable, and in such a screwed up galaxy and screwed up mission, that's got to hurt. I'm slightly surprised he's managed to keep a straight mind for the suicide mission, unprofessional as that is.
Garrus is made of polygons, made out of pixels on most screens, but I still love him.
...I just used the "Can it wait for a bit, I'm in the middle of some calibrations" line on my dad. Heheheh.
...Ugh, it's difficult when you're writing catchup block text, feels like you forgot something.
Welcome back, enormousmoonboots, hope you had fun, it sounded enjoyable.
I guess you might be able to see where Garrus looks like a cat, but I don't think he's the purring type. More of a growl/roar. I think the resemblence might be in his muzzle.
Yeah, I've said it enough, but I like this thread.
Edit: Been looking for the other magic fridge one, found it:

Edit: New one on DA, not mainly Garrus, but I liked it.

I was reading avclub.com, my favorite source for nerdy hipster reviews of pop culture, and I read their review of Mass Effect 2 (the only A I've seen them give a game!). In the comments section somebody was talking about the hilarious conversation from the Thorian (sp?!) hitting on him/her, which made me laugh.
Then I read another conversation about how hackneyed it is that Bioware insists on shoving romances into every game they make, and obviously I disagree. To me, it's a very efficient and effective way of getting you emotionally involved in the characters and story, and it makes you feel closer to the character you are playing. I remember being blown away by how great it was that I could successfully pursue a romance in KOTOR in a way that didn't feel like it was something the story was forcing on me--it was something I chose to do, and that I could only pull off by being charming and considerate. It's so much more rewarding than games where it's inevitable for hero x to end up with love interest y. And even though they made it incredibly easy in ME2, with very little conversation involved, I still think that option makes the game more engaging than where there's no romance at all, just as I think the ability to build any semblance of friendships or alliances makes games more engaging.
Of course I'm preaching to the choir here, but nobody would have noticed my post there in an article that's over a month old.

Now comparing him to a parakeet, climbing with his mouth, that I'm okay with. Either maintain his dignity or destroy it completely.
