Shepard's new little black dress inspired me to try and texmod Garrus's casual outfit into something that matched. I wanted it to look more formal/tux-like. Not quite there yet. ME2 loads textures through some funky system I'm still trying to figure out *shakes fist*
Still, looks pretty dapper in black IMO. I'm going to keep working on it. Thoughts?
Okay, BW, do you see this? This is sexy. This is what nice, tasteful evening wear looks like. Go for this, not for that green thing. X3
Excellent job, btw; I really wish this was what his official clothing looked like. ^^

Unless they were trying to say Garrus is the kind of guy to show up on a first date in cutoffs, flipflops and a Hawaiian shirt?

Yeah, me neither.
eta: I would pay dearly to see a drawing of a turian in flip-flops.

Saved. But yeah, that's some amazing work, there. Good luck with altering the rest of it, it looks really great so far. Looks much less strange than his actual casual wear. The other one wasn't too bad, but this one's by far better.
Yep, it's definitely similar, and I loved the one on the left. Good luck with the rest of it, if you're still doing more.
You've gotta get some black formal wear cuddles.
Nice. I knew there was a reason I kept picturing Garrus in black. Awww black formal wear cuddles, I'm all over that.

Wow...just changing the color scheme
of the outfit made an alarmingly HUGE difference. In fact, I'm pretty
sure I just went from six to midnight. Wait...what?

You'll have to remind me, is this the yellow and black or Garrus's blue and red? If I end up posting a final texmod file on the site for 'dapper garrus' I can try and do the loyalty colors too.Honigkuchenpferd87 wrote...
Nice work Ele! Can you do one in the loyalty colours??
Edited for formatting. I can't get hidden text to hide in quotes! I give up...okay there it goes.

It just bolsters my conclusion that there are few women on the ME2 team and they get outvoted. A LOT.

Ele, the loyalty armor is black with blue and white details and the inside of the collar is dark red. Would greatly appreciate loyalty civvies =3 I'll draw you a little something of your choice if you want?

Nice to see people working on something they like. But consider that it's another species, another culture, different time, different place from ours. Ever seen how people dressed in the eighties? And that's only thirty years ago. Do what you want, but I'd leave some room for logical imperfection. If someone truly knows rogue modding, how about making it so that Garrus wouldn't be running around in a broken armor? Of course you'd leave the scars and the implants, but I always found it very strange that nobody bothered to even try to patch up our favourite turian's armor.
I understand what you're saying, but as for me personally, I actually like the way the messed-up armor looks.

Aesthetics aside... they're dressing him for people living NOW.

Yeah it looks cool. But would've made sense to either change into a new or repair it at least by the suicide mission.
Maybe undamaged armor with some marks of welding? Space welding?

Huh? I bet people living now are pretty much all dead by the late 22nd century.
To understand my point look up the meaning of RPG.
Okay, back to real life. The game's made for us, but it should still be believable, and to achieve believability, it has to be based on reality. And there's no better way of making things look real but to give it some scratches and other things that don't look completely nice. Show some respect for a character to make his own (bad) clothing decisions. I for one don't want everything to feel like it's controlled by some graphic designer god, even as in games it always is, but there should be the illusion that it's not.
