There should be more party banter. That's one thing Dragon Age has lots of, the party members actually interact with each other and give their opinions on your romance option. I'd like that for Mass Effect. What would Jacob say about Garrus? Better yet, what would anyone say about Jacob or Miranda? The least interesting and less emotional romances IMO. In fact opinions about Miranda's romance scene would be interesting since I'm pretty sure someone or everyone was watching through the windows.

MORE PARTY BANTER, BIOWARE!

THIS.  In a big way.  I was actually pretty upset that the amount of banter went down so significantly between the 2 games.

I concur with everyone about the party banter. That was BY FAR Dragon Age's biggest advantage in comparison with both ME 1 and 2. In the Mass Effect games, sometimes you practically feel like you're flying around on a ship with a bunch of crewmates who are all complete strangers to each other. Not so in DA:O--if those characters like or don't like each other, you'll hear about it. It gave the game a much more organic and realistic flavor, I thought. I still like Mass Effect better, but DA:O gets a thumbs up in my book.

That third choice should have been there, damnit! XD

This would be my number one request for the 3rd game.  Even the little commentary from your squad in the first game when you clicked on them in various places was great even though it wasn't interactive.  *Looks up* Yeah, everything that Briallen said.

So, I was just driving on the freeway and had an epiphany, and this happened when I got home:

The new fixed armor in loyalty colors.  Eeeep.  I have a new project.

Guys...erm, sorry, force of habit.
Girls!

I just got the romance dialog in the DLC I am so happy with it.
Good to know how many Garrus fans there are outside the forums.

Anyway...a texture mod is harmless, imo. It's not like anyone talks about it in the game. Like changing Miranda's hair color...no one calls her a dark haired beauty, if I remember correctly. So...she's blonde in my game.

OOoooh.  Can I...can I see?

Actually, Garrus' romance outfit was chosen by a couple of BioWare's female employees, believe it or not. (Second paragraph.)

Huh. Well. Raise your hand if you feel sheepish.  Let that be a lesson to us all to remember everybody has different tastes. (Sidenote:  Did anyone else read "The sheer amount of Girl being exuded down the hallway caused programmers and tech designers to poke their heads out of their offices in suspicion." as "they totally disturbed everyone by how loudly they were squeeing over Garrus"?)

aznsoisauce wrote...
I remember when that was first posted in that MSPaint thread! A whole bunch of people went crazy over it and wanted to put it on a shirt. I'd like a mug of it myself.

...I'MMA GETTIN' IDEAS. (I need to stop.  I realize this.  I have more handmade Mass Effect accessories than any one person should actually have.)

@ELE08:  That is awesome.  HOW DO I LOVE THEE,  LET ME COUNT THE WAYS.

I ROFL'd thinking that there were GARRUS/SHEPARD SHIPPERS on the Normandy.  Who, I wonder, hmmmmmmm.....

(and we have guys in here too!  Guys is an acceptable unisex term, yes!)

Seriously? I cannot get enough of watching Garrus hit Harkin, kick him in the nads, step on his neck, and deliver a classic turian headbutt...I need professional help, mayhap.

Which reminds me: I spent $23 on a shirt today, because it had tight cuffs and side panels like the Alliance casualwear I've got my Shepard wearing. If being hopelessly addicted to this game/unbearably dorky is wrong, I don't wanna be right.

Cute but very...mmm...predatory. :P Like a cat hunting prey.  I have to give BW props, I think Garrus' loyalty mission is one of the best, most emotionally engaging sequences.  Granted, I'm biased, but I don't really see that level of emotional intensity prevalent throughout most of the others (although they each have their moments).

I agree. There was A LOT more... understandable emotion from Garrus' loyalty mission.

I mean, I can't be the only one who wanted a bit more 'interaction' with Jacob's father. As a FemShep and seeing what he did, *I* should have gotten to knee that guy in the nads. Before I let Garrus blow'em off. >:|

Phew, I dunno man...Mordin punching out his assistant was pretty intense.  And while I loved watching Garrus beat the tar out of Harking (slightly horrified as well, which made it all the better.  Also slightly turned on.  Yeah, there were a lot of conflicting emotions there. ) Anyway, while I liked that, my favorite part of the mission aside from the car ride was the edge-of-your-seat-ness of the last bit with Sidonis.  My heart was pounding, I was literally on the edge of my seat.  I certainly didn't get that from any of the other missions.

I wouldn't necessarily call it the most emotionally engaging: like I said before: Mordin's mission.  That would be tied with Garrus's for most emotionally engaging, or even my top pick. I'm pretty sure that if I weren't so in love with Garrus, Mordin's would win outright. (I also feel Tali's deserves an honorable mention here.  The whole mission, not so much, but I was sure as hell engaged for the hug and the end talk.)

EDIT:  That's not to say I DON'T find it emotionally engaging at all, it is, very much so.  Just...well, maybe I'm biased for Mordin's mission as well, because it shook me to the core.

What struck me about Garrus's mission (and I swear, I *tried* to remain objective, but I can't promise anything, with Garrus messing with my head) was that we got some of the BEST closeups of Garrus we've ever seen:  how well BW renders turian emotions (damn well), his facial textures, his scars, and good grief, some of the best and most piercing closeups I've ever seen of his EYES...ever!!
Seriously, all romantic feelings aside (which is, quite honestly, tough for me to do):
--you got to see his skin texture
--you got to see his implant/scar (poor Garrus!) :(
--the subtle but oh-so-significant look on Harkin's face as he arranged the meeting with Sidonis (eyes momentarily closed, vague look of disbelief)

I would seriously watch this whole scene no less than 10x, time permitting.

Okay, I'll agree there. Mordin's mission touched me, too. Mordin is an impressive character and probably my second favorite in the entire game. He's complex and has more depth than many of the others. (Garrus>Mordin>Tali) His mission made me respect him a LOT more. I was really ticked off about the Genophage all through ME1 and into ME2 until I spent a lot of time going through all of his talks and his mission. Then I really had to respect him. (Still don't LIKE the Genophage, mind you.)

And I'm about to cry. This day can't get any worse than it is. Boss on my case, guild screwed me over, and now I can't get the NPC outfits to work... my game won't work if I use the ini... /sigh

I need to just go... play Kasumi's mission on my original game and listen to her talk about Garrus or something. ~_~

It's like he'z stalkin' hiz prey... m=^.^=m

Ok, I just did the Kasumi mission.

BW, color me impressed.  It was fun.  I liked the vault.  The Kasumi BG story is interesting... buuuuuuut the one thing that is kinda off is she sounds like she's from the midwest... not Japanese.  But other than that, pretty cool.
I'm liking the new diggs, it's too bad no one will comment on them though :P
Also, it lacks a certain... garrus.  Couldn't say it lacked a certain turian though...

SPOILERS
Because the whole thing with Saren was a really nice touch.  I totally didn't miss those looks BW.  Oh gawd... I have kink meme requests to make now... /facepalm
End spoilz
Omg, I need Garrus to hurry up and give me his loyalty mission so I can FLIRT WITH HIM IN MY NEW DRESS.  AND LOOK AWKWARD. XD  (PS BW lady designer - this femshep is mollified, but not VERY happy, with this DLC.  I would have been more happy if there was more Garrus dialogue.  /sage nod)

Yes... I'm on something... :bandit:

True, and even then, wouldn't have minded so much... but after the "villan" had an accent of I don't know what... it was jarring.
Plus they (BW) goes out of their way to emphazise Kasumi's asian traits... it just seems weird they'd not continue with the theme.  /shrug
All in all, I felt the whole mission  had a weird new Bond feel to it. Oo

My best friend's parents immigrated from Hong Kong.  Her first language = Cantonese (Hoisin).

Her accent = none whatsoever.
