If I know anything about this is that not everyone is allergic to the same things. Maybe only certain humans are allergic to Turians. Shepard might NOT be one of them. I like to believe that she isn't and I like to believe Garrus isn't allergic to humans either and yes I think that Garrus should have told Shepard what he thought of that experience.
The thing is, I really wanted Shepard to be allergic to turians because I didn't want everything to work out in a nice neatly bundled package. They're two different species. Everything should not be automatically hunky-dory, there are things that could go horribly horribly wrong. A presented obstacle that turns out to be nothing doesn't do anything for me.
Unfortunately, like I said before: because of the weird ScienceFails I have to assume it went right. I still want there to be at least some complication though, so I like to imagine that the chafing is pretty significant, and that two nights of smexytime in a row leads to some fairly serious pain for Shepard. Little obstacle, nothing too serious, but it makes me happier than sunshine and butterflies and puppies that poop starbursts.
(....I really like starbursts.)

...All this talk of the different complications is making me imagine them in action. And turning me on. It's also made me think of the fact Garrus came up to Shepard's cabin to make love to her after all the talk beforehand.
It's a nice picture, danitiwa.
This thread always seems to accelerate when I should be sleeping. But it always slows down when I should be awake. That's quite annoying

Yeah, but it's worth it to be able to talk to people on the other side of the world, right? I believe that it is ****ING AWESOME that right now someone hundreds/thousands of miles away from me is sharing in some good old fashion Garrus squee.
Garrus brings people together. I think we need to inform the leaders of the world.

I can imagine complications too. According to the codex Turians have some sharp edges on their arms and legs. I can imagine that if Garrus isn't careful he could cut Shepard. Then there's also the chafing thing. I'm just glad that the relationship won't end because someone is allergic to someone. That would be annoying and depressing, one of the greatest romances ending because someone could die because of it. Then there's also the social complications. There's all the human bigots like that news reporter and then there's the Turians too. However I think it's humans that will get more involved in that. Garrus isn't exactly the best known Turian.

Sharp edges? hurm...i don't remember seeing that in the codex, gonna re-read it again soon.I'm sure Shepard will be fine! with all those badass skin weave upgrades, i don't think she is "squishy" and fragile to let something petty such as accidental cuts or chafing to hurt her.As for the reporter...if she shows her face in front of me again in ME3,i gonna shove my boot in her mouth and if she got the quads to insults Garrus and Shepard's relationship, it will be a shotgun in her mouth instead of the boot.
If turians were that sharp, they couldn't wear clothes*. They have some kind of small arm/elbow spikes (Garrus's light armor in ME1 even conforms to them), but they can't be sharp enough to do that much damage; I don't think the Codex says that.Splinter Cell 108 wrote...

Nothing about sharp edges, just that their talons look pointy.Turians exhibit the characteristics of predators rather than those of
prey species (compare to krogan
biology). Their forward-facing alert eyes give the impression that
they possess outstanding eyesight and their teeth and jaws mimic the
structures possessed by apex predators such as crocodiles or ancient,
carnivorous dinosaurs. Needless to say, their talons on both their feet
and hands seem capable of ripping flesh. Their slender bodies also seem
to suggest that they are also capable of moving at high speeds.

Speaking of which, interesting question there was a funny comic about. Do the other species actually kiss like humans or do they just get close to each other like in the Garrus/Shepard romance scene?
Head bumping might be the equivalent of kissing. *shrug*For Turians it's probably not even possible, because their exterior is pretty hard, they have like an exoskeleton or something.

enormousmoonboots, that is a filthy generalisation. I smiled, not giggled. To be honest, I probably wouldn't have reacted if you didn't call it out, so you're partly to blame. I'm not THAT out of control, even for a 15-year-old. Which makes me feel a lot better.
