Is it okay for me to say that Garrus is just a little bit awesome?

Managed to get through ME2 with a 'no one gets left behind' policy that worked. But if I had managed to do something stupid that killed Garrus I would have probably thrown my computer...to test the 'does it bounce' theory and then curled up in the fetal position...and sobbed.

And then gone back to a previous save lol

Well you'd be hiding the truth if didn't say he was awesome, so of course it's ok!!!

But you're lucky... My first play through I made the stupid decision of having Miranda as the main biotic... And she fails at life!!! So I end up watching Garrus get taken away by seeker swarms screaming in pain... I proceeded to yell all sorts of obscenities at my Shepard for not saving him, throw my controller on the ground, and shut my 360 off and storm into a corner in a manic depressive state... It wasn't a pretty situation to say the least XD But I went back, played through again, and luckily everyone lived, although I still hold a grudge against Miranda. I'm pretty sure that suicide mission was on of the most nerve racking experiences of my life. I don't appreciate the fact your teammates can die at any second or the fact my heart was beating rapidly from the anxiety XD

Having just really started ME1, I find Garrus is quite naughty (in a nice way) and softer. Perhaps this changes through ME1 (don't tell me) but it's making me appreciate just how 'broken' he was as Archangel. When he first sees Shep - so mentally and physically worn out, he doesn't even seem overly enthused to see she is alive. Great to see how much he improves with a bit of TLC in ME2 though!

Ah, so you played ME2 first then. Since I played #1 when it was first released I noticed right away how much Garrus had changed. In ME1 he was still pretty green, first time away from C-Sec and all, and more idealistic on the whole. ME2 makes him more cynical, and unsure if he can really make a difference at all (I particularly remember his comment on Omega about how, in the end, he hadn't really accomplished anything).
You're kind of lucky though. Having played ME2 you already know that he becomes an LI, I had to wait two years. Image IPB

If I may make a suggestion, try using Garrus and Wrex in your squad. I personally thought they had some of the best banter in the game, plus I liked the contrast between the young and relatively inexperienced ex-cop and the old battle-hardened merc.

I hear ya! Made the mistake of looking on the forums and they all said 'do this and Garrus dies, do that and Garrus dies...' argh! I was a wreck. Thought he was going to somehow die regardless of what I did and my ME universe would implode.

Now, if Miranda had of been taken by the swarm....not so much with the tears! Was chanting 'take her swarm, take her!' wrong? lol

But they didn't, damn it!

I HATE how during the suicide mission, they fake you out when you make all the right choices. I went in blind but really used my noggin with who to choose and everyone lived but I was a basket case EVERY TIME the game was like "Oh. OH NOES! Oh he's gonna d--HA! PSYCH!" But I almost puked a little from anxiety when I saw Garrus stagger back and grab his side like that. Image IPB

But of course. Remember, he took a rocket to the face and came out in one piece. Like Jacob says, "He's one tough sonovab*tch".

I love the look he gives Shep when she comes over to him to see he's okay. That Turian is staunch! Takes a bullet and still looks cool.

BTW cat trying to sit on laptop does not equal easy forum posts!

Garrus is a legit badass... And pimp... But mostly badass :D

My cat does that all the time!! Except she usually does it it when I'm working on an essay that's worth half my grade and is due the next day. But I really can't move her... She's just so cute XD

And I'm sensing a correlation between cat lovers and Garrus lovers... Or is that just my imagination?

LOL I know I've spent too much time on ME or DA when the 'fur family' starts staring at me....then I feel guilty and decide it is time to step away from the computer. Though I am not sometimes convinced.

I've always liked to imagine that Turians purr when they're happy, maybe it's the voices. Image IPB

The cuteness of that thought is overwhelming!!! *Explodes in confetti of happiness and cuteness*

But I figure Garrus is too much of a badass to purr... But I'm pretty content with his alluring and mesmerizing voice.... OMG I WONDER IF HE CAN SING???

He has the voice to do so... And I can see him getting sentimental with Shepard and singing her a song :D

I vote to hear Garrus growl in ME3 ;)

I vote to hear him Roar. Like a Lion.

That would be so epic. If he gets into an argument with another Turian that drives him crazy, and he roars in his face.

I'm getting a little carried away yes.

That's what this forum is about... Getting carried away in the awesomeness that is Garrus =]

But I'd like to see Garrus roar at Kaidan... Then Kaidan would then retreat into a corner like the little boy that he is... :D

Maybe a duet with Mordin?

GARRUS: I am the very model of a super-sexy turian!

*MORDIN does an epic facepalm.*

I think Garrus is too shy to even try singing in public. The moment he puts his gun down he's an embarrassed young man.

Yeah, I'm a cat lover too.

And I like the idea of purring Turians. Oh, how much I like it! xD BioWare! Make Turians purr!

About singing... my first thought was "Maybe not singing, but Garrus with some space guitar would be cool." Then I remebered that he has only 3 fingers. Eh.

Is Garrus' mother ever mentioned? He talks about his father, but never says anything about a mom.

I love how you come in on skits, Xsause

Not much of a cat fan. Think they're alright. Don't think Garrus is much of a purring type, though. And I think purring turians are a pet peeve of a fair few...

Right, despite going to sleep at 3:30AM in the morning, I've managed to wake up at the exactly same normal time I've been waking up for the past week. And I don't feel tired.

Played ME2 first (MaleShep, didn't want to romance Garrus without playing ME and making a canon Shep), am playing all the way through ME, though. Nearly able to romance Garrus, now.

First reaction? Well, I actually didn't come across his romanceableness in the game. I was reading through the Wiki, looking up the different classes, and that page of the wiki also showed all the characters. I decided to look through them, and interested myself in Garrus (thought he was handsome). Then I found out he was romanceable, and thought "Oh, that's nice, I'd love to choose him,"

Then, I started finding out about his personality devlopments, how much of a character he is, and yeah, how attractive he is, and I thought "Alright, when I do get to romance him, it's gonna be awesome,"

I can't be bothered to go through all my Shepard's choices and her thought paths and her morality and her weapon size and her hair colour and so on and so on. I'd end up writing too much, and feeling like I've missed something. Feh.

*googles Garrus*
Potential boss: "What the...? What is this I don't even... Ugh, she's into this? Never mind. Let's invite the next job-applicant."

Mind you, I'm studying to become a therapist. I'm supposed to help depressed/anxious/whatever people in the future. :P

Will your bosses know Cerrydd's your username? Or is that your actual name?

To be fair, Garrus relieves stress. He and Shepard even said so themselves.

Therapist... any chance for a free sess-*toddler from a few pages back starts assaulting me*

Ah, this is the value of
having a username that's a common phrase. Moonboots isn't my main; I
alternate between Sollie and Heuksal, both of which are damn near
un-googleable--Heuksal is the name of the spear class in a Korean MMO,
and Sollie is both an actual name and the nick of the Soldier class in
TF2.

Yeah, it's nice to have a name where Google turns up nothing related to you, though sometimes it's nice to have something related to you come up, but I think that's just curious thinking for me. I'd prefer it with no results relating to me. *plays Flammie drums*

I feel like ficcing Garrus and Jack. Y'know, too much Shepard. No, they're not going to have casual sex ¬.¬

Hey Flam, goodmorning. No, good afternoon. I'm still up. Zzzz...

No, Cerrydd is not my real name, but when they'll google my real name they WILL find Cerrydd. Including motivationals and when they dig a little deeper they will find Garrus penis. Heh. And my real name is very rare, so it's not like I can say "It wasn't me".

Oh well, it's just awesome Garrus. If they think I'm weird, they should play the game.
