Had to come back in to re-read the waterfall skits before work to remind me of the good things in life. Ahhhhhh.

Just a side note from a few things I read awhile back... Turians do not have actually metallic skin. It says it is metallic-like... hardened to protect them from the conditions. I think they can swim just fine. They might not be as aquatic as, say, a hanar, but they are probably just as water-friendly as humans are in their own ways. But that's just my take on it. ^^

I would give anything to even see a snapshot of a representative slice of Palaven. Also, the asari homeworld--what's that called?

Ha! Finally someone who agrees with me!

If you read the codex entry, it says "most forms of life on Palaven evolved some form of metallic 'exoskeleton' to protect themselves" or something to that effect. However, the context of the entry makes me think the word 'metallic' is used here as meaning "resembling metal" (look it up in the MW dictionary if you think i'z full of it). It's sort of become a pet peeve of mine....Turians are organic, not autobots. Not to knock on anyone's opinion. I mean yeah I guess it's possible but I've always felt that they meant their skin resembles metal and reflects light. Almost as big a pet peeve is people saying that turian skin is rock hard and razor sharp. Unlikely...Sure maybe there are some pointy bits but its clearly stated they have a thick hide that doesn't stop bullets. Just makes me think of really durable and leathery skin (just like Antivan boots, they're smooth as butter in some places too I'll wager Image IPB)  I bet they can swim...they're just not meant for it, like humans.

DISCLAIMER: The above is just this one's humble opinion and excludes that stud Saren who was thoroughly pimped.

Also kglaser, the asari homeworld is called Thessia.

Also, turians clearly don't have an exoskeleton....so we can't really take the Codex at face value. :/

400 pages would be nice. Who knows, maybe the mods will let us hit 1000. Wonder how long that would take.

I agree that it's not an exoskeleton, it's just a tough sort of "hide", and it's metal-like, not actual metal, but that doesn't necessarily guarantee turians, or Garrus, can swim. Though, it'd be nice to think of shirtless... Garrus... doing sports...

...Makes me think of Garrus saving somebody drowning in the Presidium lake. That'd be pretty cool.

It's not Garrus, but speaking of dance and Mass Effect, this one's pretty funny, too.

More shirtless turian action (awesome concept art, no less)!

The scales do look a bit metallic, but I think it's just very tough hide. The collar and the face-plate look the hardest.

...but the priiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiize.

To me the collar looks fuzzy, like fuzzy gray carpet or something... Or a fuzzy cruela deville fur coat.

Thank you Soltana...I was consumed by laziness at the time I should have been looking up that info

Looks like those ancient ruins that pop up on planets in ME1.

Wait where is this Turian art from? The Kasumi mission?

I don't think they do... but that's some amazing work or find, epoch_

Well, it's just concept art, but it's the closest to an unclothed turian to get.

Finally had the time to listen to the Garrus Afternoon Delight. Loved it.

...I wonder if a turian would feel it if you nibbled on his mandibles.

Everyone on youtube seems to use subtitles for some reason, so that's the only part I don't like about the pic.

Well, I find it hard to hear, sometimes, so I actually find the subtitles useful for watching purposes, though I guess non-subtitled versions are necessary if you're doing anything artistic, like music vids or animations.

...Well, at least the game subtitles are better than youtube's attempts at subtitling ¬.¬

I always turn off the subtitles, for everything (unless it's not in English, which is the only language in which I am fluent). For some reason, they drive me crazy.

Really? I always have to keep them on. I guess having parents that talk at a frigging massive volume even when they're in the same room comes into it a bit.

Yeah, you're missing more content reading the subtitles than the occasional word you might not hear if you don't have them on.

I just scan through the subtitles, so I know the line, so I can actually hear the line clearer, and if I didn't catch anything, I quickly go through the subtitle line again to remind me. I don't just focus on the subtitle line.

And, I play the Xbox version. It's difficult to get headphonse from the TV to my ears when I generally sit opposite it.

Yeah, I do the same. Makes it easier to understand what some characters are saying, especially when I'm talking to Mordin. I mean, I get some of that guy's babble, but if I'd turn the subtitles off...
