Just out of curiosity, what is the general consensus in the Garrus thread pertaining to the appearance pack dlc? Personally I am glad that they fixed the armor damage and I tend to like the color scheme. However I like the blue eyepiece over the brown one or whatever color that is. I am not sure what that is that comes around the side of his jaw. Is that to protect is wound?

I can't speak for anyone else, but the orange (or whatever) eyepiece thing puts me off, too.  I much prefer the blue one.

......ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Not with Zaeed! He's like... the grouchy old man that can teach me how to shoot and crush beer cans on my forehead, not someone I'd need advice from Mordin about! Just... nonononono. Even my Paragade, who hooked up with Thane and will probably go live with the Geth if/when he dies out of disgust for organics at that point, wouldn't want to test THOSE waters. Just... nooooooooo.

I like it. It's about time his armor was fixed!!! But looking between the three armor types, I kind of like the colors in the loyalty armor the most. Furthermore, I agree with you that the blue visor is better than the orange, but orange is spiffy nonetheless. As for the thing that comes around the side of his jaw, I'm pretty sure that's the equivalent of like a head set. Considering it's attached to the bandage where his ear(or the turian equivalent) should be.

How much do you think they spent fixing him? I mean, since it's Cerberus, and he's not a human, maybe they did a quick patch job on him instead of the full-on rebuild they would have given a human? I mean, it's not like they lack money or something....

Well, I'm pretty sure Dr. Chakwas was the one who fixed him up... I'd hope she did the best she could, and not just a quick patch job. xD

@silentstephi: Quite a few of my Shepards would love to have the red eyes, and some of them don't even mind the light scars, but I don't know if any of them would actually keep the full scarring. They're probably amazed that the crew doesn't ask if they're in pain. ("Shepard, your face! What the--?!" "No, really, it's fine.")

LOL...there's a post from about 200 pages back where somebody showed that pic of him hugging his knees and said something like, "You go on with your trial...I'll just be over here thinking about cupcakes."

I've never noticed that screenshot of Garrus in-game (and I was looking for it too), but he does look adorable and completely out of place in the trial. Does everyone else sit like that too?

Also, Shepard's armor looks awesome in that picture.

Jereth was the second movie-character I told my father I wanted to marry. (The first being Darth Vader.) He told me there was something wrong with me at that point. (Heheh.) The reason I always figured his eye was off-color was that it was a glass-eye from having that eye, and area of his face, blown off by Vido.

Like I said... I'd love to go drinking and merc-hunting with him. Just not inviting him up to my cabin. Heh.

Garrus hugging his legs like that was so cute. But I always got the feeling he was sitting there worried. I mean, Tali has been his friend since ME1, too. I'd think he'd be concerned about her. In other Loyalty missions, like Mordin's, when he's not activly involved he paces or fidgets. Here he sits quietly and in a 'defensive' looking posture. It made me think he was listening intently instead of fidgeting and thinking about things to shoot next.

Yeah the colors for the loyalty armor is the best IMO too. 

Well do you like that headset?  It just seems kind of bland and clunky to me. I couldn't tell if it was a headset or a protector of some sort for his wound.

Not a huge fan of the headset either... He already wears a visor everywhere, and let me emphasize EVERYWHERE. I mean I really didn't see the need or point of him wearing the visor during the romance scene, but I was too occupied with the whole cuteness of the scene to care. But back to the headset thing, I just thing it's way too big and distracting. But at least his armor is fixed... No let's see if we can't petition BioWare to have his loyalty armor fixed

Maybe Garrus is self-conscious about his right eye? But yeah he wasn't going to snipe that night so I didn't see the point of it either. Maybe Bioware are lazy.

As for the eye piece, it's a nice change, I don't mind the orange. XD



I actually didn't notice the knee hugging shot until I saw this funny on in NSAS of Thane. I have to find the picture again... but I think Stabby put a teddy bear in there somewhere... was funny.

The eye-scanner just made me laugh. I kinda see it like a security-blanket. He is so used to it, removing it would be a 'big deal' for him. And yeah, I prefer the blue one on him, too. And I must be like... the only person who LIKES his broken armor.

Somehow in my devious mind I don't think Garrus gave up his visor so readily, but rather certain "favors" were performed to convince him to take it off...
