Yeah, budget was my other thought lol But it really does look like it is glued to his skull

How about we petition for shirtless and headgear-less Garrus?

We can only hope...

Yes, people in glass fictional character shrines shouldn't throw stones.

Indeed Colli. And yeah, it really does look like his headpiece is quite attached to the back of his skull. I wonder if I can find my super close shot..

the scanner could be like glasses, he might be blind or colorblind in one eye.

I always thought it was an additional 'scope' feature for sniper. Help with shot accuracy...

I'm more inclined to believe they didn't feel it was needed to remove it, even though it would be relatively easy. One can infer that he eventually removed it, anyway.

I don't know, really. It is sort of neat to wonder what it is for

It's just this one's humble opinion. No need to go spreading it around. As I said, I still love the tali fans <3

As for Garrus' eyepiece, I highly doubt it's fixed on there there. Like you said, Mr. B. It's probably similar to wearing glasses. While I don't think it's corrective (It's just a combat thing) he doesn't even think about the fact that he has it on. And maybe he forgets about it. ^-^

"Shepard have you seen my scanner?"

"It's on your face, Garrus."

Back of head. Clipping issue is obviously just left there since you can't get this angle normally. Sort of looks like it might be laced to his patch.

That's one of the reasons why I prefer the Garrus thread than the other romance threads. Aside from Garrus being my favorite, there's not so much crazy in here.

Hey guys, totally random thing here but does that eye display Garrus wears look very 'attached' to you? Like it is a cybernetic implant that won't come off?
Was just looking at a screenshot of the back of his head and thought it looked very permanent, which would explain why he wore it during the romance scene. I did wonder why he didn't take it off for that when he'd gone to so much trouble to get all dressed up for Shep.

Oh, and Garrus!

I never really thought it looked like a cybernetic implant.  If you look at the way that Shep's headpiece goes on (the +10% headshot damage one) it seems to 'attach' in the same way, and since that's a perfectly-removable-leaving-no-indent-in-one's-head deal I'm assuming his is too.

Ah, I hadn't really looked at that.  Now I want to go look up the headpiece model...

Here's the three I just took in game: (Yeah, it could be attached to the patch.. but it looks like the "bolts" are too high. There's also chipping damage on the bottom of the bar.)

I'm not 100% on that, since the Shep I use it with has longer hair, but so far as I can tell it just spans the one half of the face to the back of the head with no straps or anything to keep it on.  I always assumed that there was pressure between the piece on the back of the head and the little bit on the forehead which kept it in place.

As for Garrus, as his kind of only touches his head on the back... haha I have no clue. Maybe he superglued it on.

Edit for the pictures above:  Or bolts it to his head.  He's just so badass you know.

Yeah, kind of similar, but no "lacing" or whatever that is. Also wow, it looks so much different in game...

Hrm...maybe he stapled the visor into his carapace.

But, I'm inclined to believe that the way his visor stay on the side of his head is the same idea as the Kuwashi visor.

Yeah, the Fshep version seems like it's more contoured to her face, which could keep it on. Sort of like a snap on.. But Garrus' starts from the back and just curs foward lightly, I couldn't see it staying on without help.. But ah. Yay designs.

Edit: Moved to next page
