Yeah, and only $285 dollars, too! D: (Or 327 euros)

Man, love those costumes! It would be VERY hard to pull off a good Garrus costume, at least one that looks very nice.

I'm reading through it right now, seems like they give good tips for materials too.. but it's more like a hardcore costume crowd.

Edit: HA, the posts dissapeareed, now i've posted back to back. OOPS.

Indeed, someone made a Tali (ME1) costume that didn't look that bad either.. but ah, chose to post Liara <<.

Also, for those who may have costume questions, I found another link explaining/having some tips and tutorials.

I find the hardest part of a garrus costume is obviously his face, it could be made like a mask but it wont be able to reflect "emotions" the best way IMO is to divide up the sections of his face and glue it on someones face

I once saw a picture of a Tali costume with an incredibly realistic looking helmet, but the rest of the suit looked like it was made out of black trash bags.

Any good Garrus would probably be 100% CGI. Look at how spectacularly it worked for the aliens in "District 9"

(note to BioWare: No Mass Effect movie please. No, no, NO.)

I don't think a Mass Effect movie would work simply because what's the perfect Mass Effect movie for one fan would be completely wrong and an utter perversion of the story for another fan.

Giving a rigid storyline to a game that's made rich by its choices is never a good idea.

Agreed, kglaser. Not only do game-to-movie films usually suck, for ME you're going to be pissing off a lot of people when Shepard isn't remotely like theirs.

Yeah, I know... No movies, they always make me so saw then they do so. Either it would look AMAZING and just be so crappy, or look crappy and be crappy.. I doubt it would hit that so-small window to be great and look great at the same time.

As for the face, yeah, that would be very hard to translate to costume. Probably would have to have to have soft pieces you could attach to parts that moved.. Bah, just thinking about planning that out!

Honestly I think the best way to go about doing a Garrus face would be to just sculpt something rigid and wear it like a helmet. Standard makeup could never get the mandibles right and gluing pieces on wouldn't hold together well.

No idea.. But I would say not worry about the mandibles moving, since they should look ok when you're not talking.. I suppose.

Trying to find more garrus pictures, ran across this.

Eh, I've no idea about a movie. Probably going to agree with everybody else.

Nice work with fixing Garrus on the Normandy, Ray Joel Oh. And, I'll try to post up Lorik's email if it ever does arrive, then.

It's nice to see you again, aznsoisauce, I wondered where you were. Well, welcome back.

That poster is cute.

I always failed on the Mako, but I never managed to get it upside down... I did once get it stuck under some debris with no escape and had to reload.

Edible Garrus. (found here)

Wow, that's pretty amazing. It's a shame it's edible, it would have been nice to leave it like that.

Goddammit I loved that scene. Gif animation is epic.

"Shepard have you seen my scanner?"
"It's on your face, Garrus."

I do that with my glasses, too (...) so it's quite possible that it's just something that Garrus has on for so long and all the time that he forgets about it.

Soo... I was doing my frequent DA browsing for new Garrus pieces, and this came up:

Lovely.

Dancing turians are always awesome.

Hmm... was just reading the Normandy SR-2 wiki page, and amongst the important crew members it said: "Garrus Vakarian - Gunnery Officer"

It's a little detail, but it made me feel nice. It shows how important he is to the team in terms of the ship itself.

Does anyone know on which page the RPing started in the Tali thread? I want to see (even though I'll probably be unable to unsee afterwards)

And that Garrus wine is AWESOME. As long as it tastes like liquid sugar. I'm only a fan of sweet white wines.

I know that sounds a little weird, but I'm serious.

At Garrus Dancing and mini poster - Hahahaha those are awesome. AdorableGarrus is adorable.

Dancing Garrus is rockzorz.

In regards to creating a turian mask... I'm sure there's some really complicated way to make a movable mask involving lots of electronics. If someone has the inclination, they'd be able to figure it out XD

I made cape-able wings for a Gargoyles costume. No one thought you could do it without it being motorized, buuuuuuuut pvp piping, springs and wires are your friend! >.>

And I'm back... in the car shop. T.T

As for the whole "rp" thing... I'm probably one of those few RP'rs that feel a tad out of my comfort zone when people take cannon characters and run with them. If I'm gonna RP, I'm gonna make an OC, not use a cannon PC (unless, you know, I'm the GM/ST/DM.) But that's jus' me. Fanfic is probably the extent of me delving into that kind of trying to voice a character...

Not saying whoever does RP as a cannon character is a bad person, but it usually ends up bad. A very few people can pull off a character in a believable fashion to me, if they weren't the writer of said character.
