Thanks!

I found a link to 'Justified' in the voice actor appreciation thread, so for those who couldn't see it: click here. The real Garrus has red blood . My McAfee siteadvisor give me a red sign on that site, so be careful. And don't watch it when you have dentist anxiety.

Oh man, Brandon Keener is so cute there.

@This Is Delicious: The squealing was great . He's apparently from Arkansas, but I'm not American so I was wondering if it's an accent or Brandon Keener TM.

That sure isn't a stereotypical Arkansas accent. I suppose maybe the way he drags out words could be considered a "drawl." And people tend to talk slower in the south. The generic "American accent" that all American newscasters and actors try to have is midwestern. So maybe that's him covering up his southern accent, or maybe he just naturally has a generic midwestern accent influenced by southern drawls.

He's from Arkansas? I guess some of the lingual oddities he says can be attributed to a strangled Southern accent.

I don't know about accents...

And... Cerrydd, that tip on bringing up the ability panel and giving orders in ME2 is actually pretty good. Unless I order my squaddies, they run around and out of cover, and shoot like headless chickens until they get killed. (¬.¬) Ordering them to take cover fixes them to that position though, until battle ends, so it's a lot better. Doesn't stop me from sending them to crap places, but it's better than them constantly moving around.

Computer's blocked the video, and proxies block the video script, even with that option turned off... *sigh*

But the shrimp was quite photogenic... until I ate it. I had to immortalize it some how.
Right now it is the gatekeeper... since it took my like 3 years to get my domain back from a $%^*ing domain squatter.

Hmm... curious. Still trying to get the domain back?

And yay, number 12 and 23.

There isn't any characters I particularly hate, either. Just have some distaste or a lack of liking for. Eh, I'm not too forward with the idea of joining up, I don't really like crowds...

Hey guys, totally random thing here but does that eye display Garrus wears look very 'attached' to you? Like it is a cybernetic implant that won't come off?
Was just looking at a screenshot of the back of his head and thought it looked very permanent, which would explain why he wore it during the romance scene. I did wonder why he didn't take it off for that when he'd gone to so much trouble to get all dressed up for Shep.

Oh, and Garrus!

Yeah I had been wondering about that.  Of course the most literal answer is that the eyepiece is a part of his head model, so removing it would require they have another model with him not wearing it.

Garrus takes the eyepiece off if you give him a helmet in ME1's light armor (the helmets are weird hood things that still fully expose his face...whatever, turians). When he's helmeted in ME2, sometimed you can see through his visor and he's not wearing it (and I think the models that are ripped to Gmod don't have the eyepiece, so a visorless model certainly exists). So clearly he takes it off for comfort reasons where the visor simply won't fit, but he's just dorky enough to forget about it in the romance scene.

Did anyone ever rustle up helmet screenshots? I never did find those references...

I have a... Dutch accent. What a surprise. But I've heard worse, it's not that bad. Not that I speak English on a regular basis. Thanks for clearing the accent thing up, anyway.

Good to hear my tip is helpful, Flammie! I started my insanity PT last weekend on the Xbox and it went unexpectedly well. Squadmates don't always listen when I give them orders, but they're not dying that much. I even beat the praetorian on Horizon with only dying 3 times! Woohoo, I felt incredible. I was actually having more fun than expected playing on insanity. Come to think of it... I didn't take Garrus with me anywhere. Wow.

Human squadmembers... Zaeed was the only one I liked, even though he's extremely obnoxious... and then Kasumi boarded the Normandy. There is still hope for humanity in my world :P.

...I don't think I will ever try Insanity. xD The praetorian killed my Shepard three times on Casual. Maybe, after several playthroughs, I'll work my way up to Normal.

Garrus won't be in my squad as much on my next playthrough though. >.>; I'll miss him.

Garrus did quite well on my Veteran run. But then, I never do Insanity cold. I work up to it. Hardcore is next.

When I get nervous, I develop a accent. Especially on the phone. Some old lady told me I have a dixie accent. Whatever that means. I thought I sound like any other American on t.v...

He has an awful habit of just refusing to get behind cover. Or getting behind it, only to jump out again about 30 seconds later.  I mean, on hardcore and insanity all the squaddies are a bit rebellious, but Garrus just runs into bullets he's superman. Which unfortunatly he isn't (as much as I love him, he's not impervious to damage.)

I had to start switching him out of my squad on Collector bases, which made me sad. His 'Impressive' is quite the motivator when you are getting your behind handed to you.

My favorite is when he wanders in front of YOUR gun and yells at you for shooting him.

I play Vanguard.  I've learned that he will only stay in cover if I'm taking the heat AND he's using his sniper rifle.  So, I've become more adept at Charge and other aggro-holding tactics.

Which helmets Boots?  From ME1?  Or ME2 helment shots?

And if I remember right, when i took that screenie of him in ME1, where you can see his eyes, no visor under the helmet.
I just need to finagle my permissions so I can find the name of the silly picture GAH...
I'll get on it though, getting you some shots <3

Dixie accent would be southern.  I get one every once in a while even though I was born and raised in Minnesota.

And to be at least somewhat on topic.  Do you think there are different regional dialects and accents within the Turian language?  Like maybe someone from the northern hemisphere of Palaven sounds different than someone from the southern hemisphere.

I always start on normal, then did veteran a couple of times, but I skipped hardcore. I don't know why exactly. I just want to get the insanity PT done as fast as possible so I can start playing casual. lol.

@Kim Shepard: Yeah, I had a hard time going through Horizon on my first PT on normal. I already died a thousand times before getting to the praetorian. That's why I was so surprised when I managed to kill the praetorian so easily on insanity :D. My brother was ready for some lulz watching me die 50 times like he did, but awkward silence filled the room. I'm playing as an engineer, spamming incinerate whenever I can, brought Miranda for the warp and Grunt as a tank.

I was also NOT looking forward to Garrus's recruitment mission. The part with the shutters. But I was victorious. *pats herself on the back*

So, here's a question - has anyone else had an unbeleivably difficult time on the collector ship on insanity difficulty?

I know it sounds like a dumb question, but I had very little problem up to that point, even making it through horizon with very little difficulty, and all of a sudden - wham! The game cranks the difficulty up to a 13, and I can't even take cover, since they shoot me while I'm hiding. I don't know if it's just me, but it's gotten to the point where I'm ready to break something.

Accents are funny things. When talking to my folks from Washington, the western slips in. When talking to my folks in Florida... the southern drips in. When talking with my friends with the "hahd coah" Rhode Island or Mass accents, the New Englander shows up.

O.O

Though I did find it a trip when after hearing my friend from Sydney speak for over 5 years and then my in laws had their British friend over for dinner... my mind, she was blown.

I had some issues on the platforms until I finally found the right strategy.  Cain to start the fight is your friend.

I had more issues with Horizon.  I almost quit on Horizon since I only had half of my dream team(Garrus and Thane) recruited at that point.  On the Collector base at the end I never had to shoot at a Harbinger once.  Sexy Sniper Squad took them out for me.

I'll let you know when I get drunk enough to try Insanity for that long. XD
