So, here's a question - has anyone else had an unbeleivably difficult time on the collector ship on insanity difficulty?
I know it sounds like a dumb question, but I had very little problem up to that point, even making it through horizon with very little difficulty, and all of a sudden - wham! The game cranks the difficulty up to a 13, and I can't even take cover, since they shoot me while I'm hiding. I don't know if it's just me, but it's gotten to the point where I'm ready to break something.
Yes. I actually don't find the regular quests to be all that different on insanity from verteren - there are just lots more enemies with higher health. OK, I die, but I can use the same tactics I've always used, I just have to hold out a little longer, and be a little more ruthless with my charging. But collector missions ALWAYS destroy me! It's not even the scions, Harbringer, or even the Praetorian that do it, either. It's those damned husks! No matter what class (although, to be fair, I've only taken vanguard, infiltrator and soldier as far as that...) I play, I have yet to find a reliable solution to the whole swarming thing. I tend to die. A lot. It's fine, 'xos eventually I get past it, but man is there nothing more irritating than finally wearing the Praetorian's health down to a kill, only to turn around and have your face eaten by a husk. <_<
I've shouted quite proface things at my console before now. And the walls of my flat are not thick. lol
On accents, I think it's hard for you to judge your own accent. I know a lot of people who are like 'but I don't have one.' I'm like, yes you do. You just don't think about it. My accent is messed up. I'm scotch-irish (it's a thing, dammit! lol) and have lived in both Scotland and Northern Ireland for large parts of my life (I currently live in Liverpool). I do workshops with kids, and at the end when I ask if there are any questions, more often than not, I get 'where are you from?' Everyone I work with thinks it's an NI accent (which it isn't.) people in NI thought I was from Canada, of all places, and I've had people ask me what part of New Zeland I'm from before now! (which is daft, 'cos that's a non-rotic accent, and I'm deffo rotic. lol). The kids bet on it - I've seen money change hands. Once, while working in a call centre, a customer who was getting irate demanded I put 'someone who was born in this country' on the phone, then apparently complained to my manager that he shouldn't employ staff who don't speak english as a first language (actually, I believe the term she used was 'illiterate foreigners'

). Now, I'm not trying to be funny, but I do public speaking for a living so I know I enunciate pretty well- I speak clearly on the phone, and english is my first language. No idea where they thought I was from!

I guess it just goes to show how random the accent thing can be.

(also, when drunk, I apparently go 'Dublin'. No idea why.

)
Oh, and in keeping with Garrus... anyone else surprised by how much like Garrus Brandon Keener talks in other stuff he is in? I think I had always assumed they did something to the Turian audio, but apparently not...
Second question: is anyone on this thread carrying a game over in which Garrus doesn't survive the O-4? (I mean, to see how that will be handled. 'For Science!' as it were...)
EDIT: To avoid double post.

I'll let you know when I get drunk
enough to try Insanity for that long. XD
Regualr while drunk is awesome fun. Insanity while drunk gets violent!
