Been posted here (on Garrus 1.0) yet? I just found out about this.

Second-wave action figures: Garrus, Legion, Miranda, and Mordin.

(Mordin is a pleasant surprise IMO.)

Awesome! Garrus and Legion must r mine! :o And Mordin and... man, better start saving up some money :P

You are so awesome for this.  I didn't get to say in the old thread but BatB was a huge part of my childhood too.  I distinctly remember seeing it in the theater at age 6 and crying when you think the beast is dead, and feeling self conscious for crying in public.  Might have been the first time a movie made me cry in...like...an adult way.  No, I think that was the Land Before Time.  But definitely one of the first.

Also, Garrus love gets shut down around 160 posts but Tali thread is allowed to run to oh 8 GAJILLION before they finally force version three?  Partial treatment not cool!  The only explanation is that a single page of Garrus contains a huge multiple of the amount of awesome in a page of any other forum.

Post for post, Garrus thread has a higher concentration of essential nutrients and awesome sauce. :D

And yes, BatB is awesome. I cried when you thought he was dead... Then was all happy when he wasn't dead, then was all sad again when you saw his human face. To paraphrase Billie Piper from behind the scenes of Doctor Who, who summed up my feelings totally.. "You're really happy that he's human, but you're also really sad that the Beast is 'gone'. He's not the same, it's all a bit weird." xD

@ComTrav: Yesssss. December is so far away. :(

Yeah, it's only 80 points too (about 50 cents haha) and it looks cool!

My theory is that Garrus' insignia is a different variant of the C-Sec insignia that the Turian and Salarian C-Sec officers use. However his is different so it could be the Palaven insignia. Who knows?

That's what the C-Sec Turians use. I'm  guessing it's a C-Sec insignia for Turians but I may be wrong. I still doubt every Turian in C-Sec belongs to the same colony.

Ah, But Chellick is a C-Sec Turian (And I hear he's Executor now.  Good on ya, mate!)

And his tattoos are different.  The wiki (which I assume is taking the info straight from the codex) seems pretty clear that it's for the different colonies.

I know they're for colonies. I was just saying that maybe the Turians that are part of C-Sec got C-Sec tattoos instead of the ones from the ones from their colonies. As for Chellick and Pallin, maybe higher occupations at C-Sec get to keep their insignias. Like I said before I could be wrong, Garrus' tattoo is different from all the other Turians at C-Sec. Maybe it's the Palaven symbol, I guess we won't find out until we see another Turian born in Palaven that has tattoo since Warden Kuril didn't have any and he was born there.

MUST ACQUIRE.  This might be the first time in history having a 360 won over playing ME on PC.

I was thinking about the whole maybe it was a nation type thing too, but meh, was going by what the codex said, and thought it interesting.

Side note: I have so many screen shots of turians because I really love their facial tats... I'm pondering creating a database of sorts of tats, problem is... I don't have colony names to go with them! Y.Y I'll have to keep it in as a WIP.

Chellick has some crazy intense eyes.

That'd be rad, silentstephi. I am envisioning a big tiled composite of all of them. Go for it! GO! DO IT!

Man, late to the party but what in the hey? Tali made it 1150 pages before lockdown?

After much slogging through bugs I can now both stay logged into the site AND post in the forums...just so I could say "ME TOO!" Garrus is worth the effort. First internet post in...well, ever (and I was using the internet when AOL was the only option) just because this thread is so cool. You guys made me a little nervous there for a second but there was a nice recovery before I finished registering games. Thanks for all the awesome/amusing/awesomely amusing posts! I might start chiming in now and then.

Awesome idea! You could always number them until you get colony names. (Should BW ever give us any...)

Might be easier than going 'purplish one with squiggly chin lines'. ::snort::

Yeah, that'd be pretty cool. We'd also be able to estimate how many clans or homeworlds bioware has included so far.

Gah, if only Garrus had been around when Mr. Woo locked the thread.

Stick around! Maybe we'll get to ... I dunno ... 200 pages before the next lockdown.

P.S. - Bit of a callback, but speaking of green eyes/Nihlus/etc.. -- really enjoyed Samara's recollection of battling him through the wilderness for a fortnight before he finally exploits her Code to make his escape.  Unusually bright for him.  I love the guy, but man, I will never get how he didn't see something wasn't quite right with Saren in ME1.  His old friend was blatantly half mechanical for crissakes, tubes all up in.... Ah, Nihlus.

*laughs* yes, if only.

But i seriously wonder at the reasoning behind the sudden lockdown...weird.

Oh lord, the agony! I remember those days fondly--probably because they're behind me now.

Anyway, feel free to chime in as often as you want! More Garrus discussion is always welcome!

@ ComTrav: Garrus, Mordin and Legion figures DO WANT. I'm going to have to see how Miranda turns out before I decide on her.

@ Kordas: That would have been magical. MAGICAL, I tell you! That needs to become a verb, somehow. Like: You've just been Garrus'd, or You've been calibrated.

lol... yeah, and you know how Garrus is about people interrupting his calibrations!

Brief edit side comment: Yay I got my signature to work! (Last time I tried, way back when, I got a weird long string of funky symbols... it frightened me :P )

I thought that story was pretty awesome as well. And in his defense, Saren was like the top Spectre around, and it's possible he'd had those cybernatic addons before the events of ME1. I like to think so anyway. XD

Probably has to do with the forums slowing to a crawl. They probably just had a cut-off like 100 pages and got rid of all the ones over it rather than waiting for ones like the Garrus thread to catch up with the multi-hundreds and take care of them later.

Actually, I'm willing to bet you could set up a pretty good drinking game to ME2...

"Okay! Two shots everytime Garrus mentions calibrations!"

Next day,

"Okay, next time we'll just do one shot per mention...or maybe just smell the bottle..."

I'd love for something like this as your first interaction with Garrus in ME3:

"Can it wait for a bit? I'm in the middle of some....just kidding Commander, what can I do you for?"

The thing that confused me about Samara's story with Nihlus was that she was chasing after him at all. He's a turian and a Spectre so you'd think that he would be above Samara's code. Turian - outside of asari justicar jurisdiction (would cause a cross-species political incident) and a Spectre - agents that operate for the Council which represent the whole galactic community vs Samara - a justicar who only represents the asari community. I don't know, her actions just seem a little strange in retrospect, but maybe she doesn't bother with details like that. "There is only the Code," after all. FFFUUU. Anyway, the moral of the story is: Nihlus is cool and smart, except when it comes to Saren.
