i don't really have much pity forthem... I mean, it has been said that they will get a 'reward' for being loyal. They don't get hte goods this game, we didn't get tthe goods last game. It's EVEN as far as I am concerned. But I'm a fan of logic. Even tipsy. They have no right to whine unless we are given the same consideration, right? Right.



It's really freakin' trippuy trying to follow Mordin's initial meeting-babble tipsy. It's like 'whooooooa...huh?' XD

That's basically just a bunch of Kaidan and Liara fans getting organized. Garrus has the most support total from male and females, I'd imagine. He's a cool bro and many females (and flammie, haha) an LI.

In that case if his fanbase is so huge how come this thread has the alot fewer amount of posts compared to others? And if he did have alot of fans they would organize the same way other fans are doing.

Naah, I gotta disagree, if nothing else based on people I know.  People love Garrus and think he's extremely cool.

Dawww, it's not a stupid thread. It's like Collider said, the fans of those two characters are just getting organized and bumping off the more popular characters early. I say let 'em have at it. Garrus has done pretty well for himself in polls. No harm in letting Kaidan or Liara win a character thread.

...But I also propose we organize a legion of Mordin fans and sweep the compeition like a great wind....a great, biotic wind! LIs get way too much attention. Give it up for the non-romanceables!

Yea, this is what I mean. Garrus was cool in ME1 and he's back in ME2 too. All of the people I know who have played the games list Garrus as one of if not their favorite characters. The thing is that many people I know or have met who have played the game, as you said, are more casual and not really interested in posting on message boards.

First, a lot of the Garrus discussion occurred in the Garrus Facebook group. And then, while a lot of people like to avoid it, I'll come out and say it: Meta taking over the thread, especially without initially crediting Eradyn who put insane amounts of work into the OP, left a bad taste in a number of peoples' mouths which naturally resulted in fewer posts (some of those who left were among the most vocal).

*shrug* Bioware already knows who the most popular characters are. The game is out and has been out for awhile, the excitement has died down, you won't see another huge rush of fandom until we're closer to ME3. The ME1 LI lovers are here for support from others like them. I know my boyfriend and I got what we wanted (Garrus and Tali romances, which the ME1 LI lovers seem to be bitter about, especially the Liara lovers vs. Garrus) and so could care less about the Liaraites, whoever, banding together. They neither make Kaidan less boring nor Liara less annoying, though I will give them that it'd have been nice to have had more interaction with Kaidan/Ashley.

We also tend to be kinda content-heavy; was walls o' text every few posts until a little while ago. The Tali thread does a lot of off-topic stuff, saying when they go on and offline, just talking about totally non-ME stuff, and so forth. I think the Miranda thread veered in that direction, too, I notice there's a post from Stan telling them to stay on-topic.

That is true enormous. This thread is usually on-topic, whether about Garrus specifically or Mass Effect (more the former). Part of why I like it so much. The other part are the people who post here, they're easy to talk to. I also have an opportunity to have intelligent discussions!

Thread size or frequency doesn't matter for squat. There are a number of variables all at work; frankly, characters like Mordin, Wrex and Legion are the most popular, but don't have massive character threads. They don't need them. The Thane group doesn't even post here, they stick to their group so as not to clutter things. TBH I'm kind of tired of all the character threads hogging the place, I wish there were a subforum or something dedicated to them. I reckon things will die down soon enough, though.



Anyway, the truth of the matter is posts on this board don't matter to anyone except the people who actually post in them.



I wouldn't get worked up over it either way.
