Why is it Liara lovers vs Garrus? 

First, sorry for not responding to you, went to bed .

Secondly, I think it's because he was the last one announced. No one was certain he was going to be a love interest until the game came out. The Liaraites seemed to be hoping for a f/f romance prior to the game's release and when they realized they weren't getting one 'because' of Garrus (being a fanservice LI and all :wub:), they became bitter towards him. Of course, it technically isn't 'because' of Garrus, it's because enough people complained about wanting more male options for FemShep (because being stuck with a blue raspy-voiced 4-year-old with two bruised-looking eyes, if you didn't want Kaidan, sucked).

That's my guess and I'm sticking to it >.>..

Well, real life is forcing me to leave the fight for today. Hopefully you'll be able to hold the line until tomorrow. Have you tried rallying the other character threads? I would...but the b*tchiness in the war thread alone is enough to give me a headache today. And then I made the mistake of looking in the Kaidan and Liara threads. I never thought Liara fans would be so catty. Honestly if it wasn't for how they were acting, I wouldn't mind that they're in the lead. Liara is one of my favourite characters.

My editing skills are rather limited when it comes to things other than airbrushing photos ). Yeah, it brings me down.  It's a shame they're so big into the schadenfreude considering most people want and expect the ME1 squad to come back.  Oh well.

From what I thought, you forfeit if you take more than 10 minutes to respond. Haven't figured that one out, since FoFo waited longer than the amount of time necessary and it didn't count *shrugs*. Unless I'm misreading or misunderstanding it. Good luck with it, though .

Yeah once its your turn you only have 10 minutes to post your response, you subtract one point from a character then add a point to another. You can reserve a spot after you posted but only after 5 other players have reserved a spot.

Yeah, you have to keep an eye on the thread. When the one before you posted his/her list, you edit your reserved post and add one point to one character and take one off another. I thought the time limit was 15 minutes but I'm not sure, I just joined in because I can't watch Mordin die :'(

I'm seeing this as a rivalry, and maybe I have been getting too competitive.  And it seems kind of personal for a lot of people.

I'm kinda noticing that.  But even as I look on it and go "PSH, people be takin' this too seriously." I do realize that I'm sort of taking it seriously...or at least taking offense to it.

(Because of course in my mind there's absolutely no way in hell, heaven, Earth or Mordor that Kaidan or Liara is anywhere close to as good as Mordin. It's a no-brainer. but.)

So +1 point for being a hypocrite.

I just want to keep Mordin alive really bad, was building up his score until Garrus was targeted. Spent a couple hours it seems keeping Garrus alive

Yeah, me too.  And I try to laugh at myself first and am maybe a bit too quick to expect the same of others.

The sheer numbers of liaranites and kaidanites were the only thing that defeated garrus, because as everyone knows, the garrus thread is where all the quality is (even collider said so!)
