Speak for yourself! Garrus is the handsomest, awesomest, smexiest guy in the whole wide galaxy. Yeah, I guess Kaiden isn't too bad, either. ;D

But yeah...here's what I tell mah peeps in the FB RP...don't let people brimming with hate and stuff get you down.  Giving people chances to change is great! But some people don't want to change...some are just...meanspirited individuals with too much time on their hands.  Learn to recognize said individuals then ignore them, stay away from them, do whatever you have to do, but don't let them ruin your fun. ^^ Ultimately, this is the internetz, and if you aren't having fun or enjoying yourself, something's wrong.

Also...some really nice Garrus art out there...I need to update that fanart thread... >.>;;;

Ray - I think it's more the vocal minority that gives each of the different threads bad names. I try to ignore it, but it's hard at times.

I will be very disappointed if Garrus can't be a squadmember in the next game. He doesn't really have a definitive place elsewhere (like alot of the other people could have other places to be). So I hope they don't marginalize him since he "could have" died.

I honestly don't think Bioware is going to marginalize Garrus, I honestly don't.  They know how popular he is and they've written him to have almost nowhere else to go.  Heck, you open up ME2 with him going on his own suicide mission...one which I don't think he expected to ultimately survive.  Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but I don't see him going anywhere but remaining at Shep's side in ME3.

Well, everybody thinks their own fanthread is the best and most loving thread on the forum of course ^^. Maybe I'm blind (or maybe I just don't want to see it), but I don't see that much hate in this thread. Everyone has their own opinions and most of the time everyone is just joking around in good fun.

Everyone is welcome to post here. Even trolls, because trolls can get the silent treatment .

And like Ray said: People get drunk! That's just AWESOME.

I only know 2 girl gamers IRL, and they don't play ME. So I just love this thread because:
- I can have interesting discussions about ME
- I can have interesting discussion about Garrus
- I can talk about Garrus in a girly way
- Brandon Keener

You see!  On this point, we are sister wives.  We will both be very pissy if they hold onto the "could have died" card as an excuse for marginalizing our preferred LIs.  And Kaiden probably holds much better cards than Garrus, since he was one of two possible plot deaths, rather than 12.  But we know that they've set the story up so that the Ashley/Kaiden and Liara romances will finish in the final act, so we hope that shows promise for our prefered LI.

I am being assertive with my friendliness here because I fear I may have singled myself out as one of that vocal minority through my own... uh... potentially abrasive sense of humor.  So I am just telling you that that was never my intent to attempt to discourage people from liking certain characters, or put people down for their preferences or whatever.  For the record.

I will.  I plan on going around recruiting people for my dangerous mission, and then heading to the bars.  And if I find anyone dressed as Garrus, they are getting a big kiss from me as well as a headbump.
"I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite drink at CONvergence."  I hope they have a drink called ryncol.  It's probably everclear and something else equally dastardly.

That doesn't work so well for me. I tend to put my latest obession (or obsessions) as my wallpaper on my home PC. The BF and roommate (who are also gamers) see that, and tease me of course.

But, I do want to share some unexpected Garrus love. I finally forced the BF to play ME1 due to my incessant talking of it. He played as Sheploo, and he enjoyed the first game. He started up ME2 right after and got really sucked into it. He finally got to the suicide mission, and he choose poorly for his tech expert/fire team leader and inadvertently got Garrus killed.

He was so upset over it that he reloaded his last physical save (and he only used quicksaves) and lost 10 hours of gameplay to correct his mistake. He couldn't imagine the game going on without Garrus on his team.
