Heya Sapphy! Welcome to Garrus-land!
I see our favorite Infiltrator died overnight. ~moment of silence~ Ah, well, it was a dumb game anyway.

He said what?! I want my whole Mass Effect family to get together to kick Reaper ass though. I would love to see Liara and Mordin nerd out together and Ashley to apologize and come fight with sistah Shepard and Wrex to want to show Grunt how ass kicking is really done.Eradyn wrote...
But yeah...if there is anything that has/had me worried regarding ME2 LI's (or just characters in general), it's the premise set by ME2. Not a lot of confidence instilled by that move...but I'm very hopeful that the devs will NOT sideline people for ME3. That would definitely NOT be cool. I choose to be optimistic about it, but in the back of my head there's that voice reminding me what Casey said in an interview about how they were considering a whole new squad for ME3.

Mordin hacking the Internet to make me post three times in a row was his last act of heroism.
I salute you, Mordin Solus.

Ew, what? When did he say that?

Urgh, it was an old interview, around the time when ME2 was just released/about to be released. Someone had asked about ME3's development and it was mentioned that, while it was a consideration, things were still up in the air since it was so early...let me see if I can find the interview somewhere...
And I agree! I want them all back, dammit! Sure, throw in a couple new characters if you really want to (don't see much of a point with it being the last game of the trilogy...kind of late, isn't it?), but not at the expense of all these squadmates! Granted, I understand some probably won't make a return...they have some reasons for not showing up...but the whole lot of them shouldn't be running off into the sunset to make way for a brand new band, I hope.

malevolente: I hope I'm not spoiling anything for anyone, but the devs have stated that all squadmates (and Shepard) can die at the end of ME2. Or everyone can survive. And given that Ashley or Kaidan could die in ME, wouldn't that make having a squad in ME3 of any of the squadmates from both games (except Liara) difficult? Are you still considering this option, or is an entirely new squad likely to be present in ME3? I'm sure that putting ME2 and ME squadmates on the backburner for the final installment of...
CaseyH-ME2: Yes, it's definitely difficult to continue the fiction when we allow major characters to be **bleep**ed off by player actions. But, that's part of the fun, and the impact of major consequences. One reason that the love interests were not recruitable in ME2 (but are still part of the story) is that they need to be around for the ongoing story in ME3.

It was a video interview...I don't think that was it...I think they were at a convention or something. Hm...Still searching, maybe IGN has it? I wish I remembered what site was hosting the vid...

I only know 2 girl gamers IRL, and they don't play ME. So I just love this thread because:
- I can have interesting discussions about ME
- I can have interesting discussion about Garrus
- I can talk about Garrus in a girly way
Yes, yes, yes. I barely know very many gamers, actually, and yeah, adult girl gamers are pretty cool.
Yeah, there hasn't been very much hate in this thread. There's been a little, and I think I've been of the recieving end of a bitter comment, which people managed to quell, but otherwise this is a very pleasant thread to be in.
I've done Garrus's LM, now, and I've romanced him. It's awesome. I love how Garrus looks when he's sneaking up to the little room Harkin's in. And then when he's aiming at Sidonis, his mandibles are constantly twitching anxiously... and when he decided to let him go, he sounded really sad...
I've romanced him, now. Felt pretty awesome.
Oh, LORIK'S EMAIL CAME IN!
Fly in the lotion...
From: Lorik Qui'in
Commander Shepard,
I've come to have a lot of balls in flight, as you humans say. It was brought to my attention that you're still around, working on something secret. Frankly, I hope that whatever you do keeps you far away from Noveria this time, but if you must come here and, what is it, upset the fruit cart, ket me know, and I'll clear a path for you for old time's sake.
A pleasure as always

I guess I'm just a mean unfeeling person, but I really don't have anything but annoyance for the ME1 LI fans who complain about their LI vs ME2 LI. Look, some of us didn't romance anyone in ME1 and were irked, annoyed, and disappointed in the options. ME2 is when we get some candy. They had their candy. We should all be happy and looking forward to getting our candy together in ME3. Worry about that. Not ME2 being unfair because they don't get more candy. This is, of course, my opinion but... seriously. You got a LI, met them again, and had a rocky period in the relationship. (Those happen in real life. Something this traumatic understandably causes some 'issues' in a romance. I actually didn't mind having the playthrough where I romanced Kaidan where he turned around and blew up at me in ME2. It was logical because he was angry for a, to me, understandable reason.)
Ah well, that is just my view on it. /shrug

Argh. Okay, I'm pretty sure it was a video from CES. It involved Casey answering questions, and you could hear the questions being asked real-time in the video...it was unedited. I can't find anything but edited videos at this point...Maybe someone else remembers it? I don't know...sorry guys, I can't find it, so I guess it'll just have to be taken with a grain of salt.

This is the article I got that from, for the record. I think it's transcribed from a live interview. http://docs.google.c...xshh_82cx7t67db
And ha, Lorik is awesome. Thank you very much for that email, Flammie. I always just use his conversation bug to max out my paragon and renegade scores.

As their avatar, and just go for their name. Unique avatars like Ray Joel Oh and silentstephi's are perfect for recognising the poster. This bloody chicken isn't. And I don't have DA, let alone have it on the PC.
