This.  Like has been said before, you win.

Therefore, I reward you with eager Garrus face:

'Space Cowboy' video doing the rounds yet for ME. lol

Yeah, that'd be awesome.

And while we're back on the subject of fitting music for Garrus or FemShep/Garrus, I had this playing during the romance scene in one of my playthroughs. Maybe it's a bit obvious and whiny, but hey.

Oh and in case anyone else wants the bunch of helmet pictures I cobbled together for Moonboots, here you are.

I'm hoping having all those in one place will help me kick start my Garrus armor art idea...

*Phew* First some sill/fun little thread game turns crazy, frustrating and then all out ridiculous, then some people decide to overreact and take it out on the whole thread....washed my hands of that wierdness, I did.
In other news, the easterly Garrus front continued to bring warm happiness to the region. Which is great because I's really needs it.

Also: img137.imageshack.us/i/garrusbluemq2.jpg/ Garrus? Nihlus? You decide!

Heeheehee, was entering "huffingtonpost.com" into the browser. Autocomplete had "HOLD THE LINE--Mordin Solus appreciation thread" right there on top. Then I open Huffington Post and the headline says "DEMS HOLDING THE LINE AGAINST LAST MINUTE WALL-STREET PUSH."

Somebody send in Garrus, Grunt and Zaeed.

So I sat down to cook up an entry for that bioware "love" theme competition because no one has published a Garrus entry yet. (Le gasp!)

I'd really appreciate it if you guys had any tips on drawing Turian physiology, because I'm completely stuck. Redlines or something would be great.

Kasumi party escort Garrus. :I Because real love is letting your partner mercilessly take out rich bad people after breaking into their vault.

I imagine Shepard would let Garrus beat some corrupt snobs up. It would make him so happy, how could she not?

Don't forget to take Mordin with you when you're going to fight the Wall-Street Reaper. Or at least send him back with the crew. We want him back in one piece.

We damn well better! I was sooo PO'ed when we first got ME2 and hubby's girlfriend Liara shows up instead of the virmire survior (while I romanced no one). I was just like "ASH! GTFO, WANT GARRUS!" And if they cop out by doing the crappy epilogue PowerPoint ala Dragon Age, I will be disappoint. You hear me, Bioware? ಠ_ಠ

Even as it is now, that drawing is amazing, Dani.

I was actually wondering if someone had something of a guide on how to draw turians, too. I'm really stuck at the proportions. I can draw the basic facial structure just fine, but I always get the fringe too short, or something like that.

I really want to meet that scout Garrus sparred with. I don't know why, but I want to. Maybe just to see how awkward a reunion like that would be (especially if you romanced Garrus...maybe he'll even say FemShep has more flexibility than she does, lol).

Garrus sends you a lovely email.  And then we finally know the pain the ME1 fancrowd suffered.

 Aw you guys flatter me.

Anyway I fixed Garrus' face a bit. I'll stop posting so close together, right now it looks like he's wearing a weirdass vest that shows off his arms or something.

And yeah it's hard to get Turian shapes down right. I'm trying to work out some way to simplify the basic shapes and go from there. If I come up with something good I can try making a tutorial.

As for now I'm sticking to using that naked turian body concept as refrence.

lol @ The female scout idea. That would be a ****storm of awkward, but it would be pretty funny if you took Garrus to meet her.

I can't say I have any particular preference as to who it is, but I would like to see female Turians in ME3.

They manage to somewhat justify it for Krogans (all the females are kept on the homeworld because of the Genophage) and Salarians (Much rarer than males and don't leave Salarian space), but nothing is ever specified about how Turian society treats gender. At the very least from Garrus's talk about that scout we know Turian women do serve in the military, but that's about it.

Worst case scenario:

"Shepard,

How are you doing? I'm fine, just doing some calibrations, like always. The job's important, right? Ha!

I hope you're doing well. Heard the Reapers are back in town, and you're one of the few people able to stop them. Wish I could join you, but thanks to a convenient plot twist I'm not on your ship anymore. Even though those two hours before we hit the Omega 4 relay were absolutely amazing, I had no problem leaving you behind on yet another suicide mission. Now you're going to have to collect a new team, and I'll probably just be a guest star party member when you're dealing with turians. Maybe I've rejoined the turian military, if you pushed me the Paragon way. Maybe I've started a new vigilante squad again, if you pushed me the Renegade way. Hard to know, huh?

It's a shame that our romance didn't get the lovely closure it rightfully deserves. But, you know, deadline and all, so...maybe I can confess my true love in the epilogue? I've already got one of those fancy PowerPoint panels ready for me. You know, like the epilogue things in Dragon Age? It'll say "...and Garrus, the brave and honest turian Shepard was infatuated with, eventually married her and had beautiful turian/human hybrid babies with her. Their children would grow out to be great heroes...that, however, is another tale."

Anyway, I love you, and for the love of all that is holy, don't cheat on me. If you do, I'll find you, and it will have heavy consequences for you.

Love,

- Garrus."

Turian females apparently were not made either because they didn't have enough time or they didn't have enough resources or both. Judging how ME2 is graphically superior to ME1, I think they could do it.

Also, about ME1 LIs...if you think from a storyline perspective, it makes sense. It's going to be much easier to write ME3's story if the developers and writers know for certain that the Virmire Survivor and Liara survived. Otherwise, every squad mate could be dead and you have this intense amount of variables.

Also, let's put things into perspective. As of now, ME1 and ME2 romances both have one game in which their romance features. 2 for ME1 romances if you count that. In ME3, if Bioware keeps to their word, the romances will continue to be equal. Two games in which the romances feature. PLUS the ME1 romance characters will have large roles, whereas ME2 LIs can't be integral to the plot.

Eeeeexactly. In the long run, they have less to worry about than we do. They have the next best thing to a character-comeback guarantee.

However, I'm fairly certain that we'll see at least the ME2 LI's (if not some of the other fave squaddies as cameos or NPCs). The argument of "not wasting time/resources on content the people may not even get to play because the char may be dead" is moot at this point. If they have to make it a 3-disc game to fit in all of the content, so be it.

I've never thought turian females look all that different from males. So, for ME1 I buy the time/space/money excuse, but ME2? Laziness. Or not...OK, I don't know how hard it is to come up with a character model, but I'm'a pout anyway, all right?!

Totally unrelated, Shepard sings this while whipping her new crew into shape. www.youtube.com/watch
(I dare you not to sing along)

Now I can picture Shepard singing this to the crew after taking them on a mission and watching them fail while he does most of the work (and almost getting hit because watching the crew to give them orders more than watching the enemy leads to that). Then, right before the suicide mission, Shepard says "Time is racing toward us 'til the Reapers arrive. Heed my every order, and you might survive." and the crew breaks into song. Shepard facepalms. xD

...At least one of my Shepards could totally win a sparring match against the whole crew at once, Vanguard style.

It's actually very difficult to come up with character models.

I don't think that "conteent people may not even get to play" is a valid argument. If someone makes mistakes and characters die as a result of the suicide mission, it's extremely easy to reload and do it over again. If someone intentionally kill squad mates off, I am of the opinion that they should not complain upon getting less content. We should get consequences for squad mates dying in the suicide mission, otherwise the whole suicide aspect means nothing. The game whole game was emphasizing the "make your squad mates survive," if it doesn't matter if they survive it was a stupid gimmick.

Well they apparently spend a crazy amount of time in art development. They need to make them move uniquely, model them with different costumes, set all the different variables of unique faces. It's not just "put a dress on it and you're done."
