...I see it, and then I can just unsee it. It's strange, I'm forgetful, remember the strangest details, indecisive about everything, and able to just write off and forget things I'd rather not remember. Am I some sort of teenage mini-biotic?

I wonder if it's possible for something to both suck and blow.

It's strange, sometimes Garrus doesn't understand the euphemism or what you mean (I didn't know you were into sparring, Commander), other times he's spouting them out like he knows how to weild an SMG. (heat sink, relieve stress, reach and flexibility, tiebreaker)

Shouldnt you love Garrus everywhere, janeym27?

Reading through the wiki, I think I'd prefer Sentinel over the others. Most defensive seeming class, and quite versatile. Only tried an Infiltrator before, and I keep forgetting to cloak, a really important mechanic, it appears. Plus, sniper slowdown distorts Garrus' voice. I'm not sure about Combat in general, I don't really like "in your face" or "cloak and daggers" particularly.

I always take Garrus on Mordin's recruitment mission, since I take him everywhere, anyway. Just read in the Squad Members wiki, confirming that he's not exactly durable, which explains his dying. More reason to stick him with a sniper rifle at the back of the battlefield. I'll probably get Legion and do the same. I'll stick with Mordin for now, Tali dies too much.

@stephi Oh, it's probalby in connection to that rule. I've seen it bandied about on the internets, and mostly it seems to be connected to the ressurection, plus the fact that Jesus was the 'shepard' for mankind. Also, the squad of 12 for ME2, and the fact that people are pretty convinced we are gearing up for Shep making the ultimate sacrifice in ME3. You can choose to read pretty much anything you want into most things, if you are a lit crit major! lol. Still, taking the 'Archanagel' name further does make for some interesting thought processes. Some mythologies state there are 7 Archangels... 7 ME1 squaddies? You see where going down this road can take you in terms of spurious reasoning. lol

@Kotori Ky. I know, right? I was all like "Oh, my eyes again!" Still, as if an excuse were needed... :D

I found myself hardly ever remember to use the cloak thingie when I played through the first time as Infiltrator.  Mind you, that was on Normal.
And I will intentionally have to try the "distort Garrus's voice" bullet-time doohickey.  Sounds interesting.  I don't remember ever using that sniper scope zoom thing just as he was saying something, but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.  Either way, I'll make a point of doing it.

I think Woo was responding to someone reporting the earlier conversation.
Because people suck.

Reported? The Godwin? Oh well. Woo's comment just came out of the blue. I mean, come on, we've moved on.

And yes, this is Garrus related (just posting it again):

Oh yeah, Nyhgault's got some good work, even though he states he does art as stress relief (*cough*) and nothing serious.

Yeah, and the cloak doesn't last for very long, so it's quite difficult to regulate it. But Tech Armour lasts until destroyed.

...I just remembered writing a fair amount about a sort of religious significance to the shower scene in Psycho as part of an essay from reading that post. Quite a few interesting insights, I think.

Well, we don't know for sure if the developers put this much thought and detail into such things. They probably do, and it's quite interesting to think them out, and even better when you find other such little details that support your claim.

I love Garrus.

It's true, an excuse was not REALLY needed, but it's helpful.

So... time to put on Wanted Dead or Alive and get a tasty beverage. I really really need a new job or I'm going to go insane.

Garrusssssssssssss. Cheer me up, Turian-batman.

I know. I think when in conversation with Shepard re: the two of them, it just never occurrs to him. The heat sync thing was clearly a battle metaphor he didn't think through. The sparring story is probably one he has told before, and came from that place of soldier cameraderie. When Shepard puts sex on the table like that, tough, all of a suddn he's like "OK... so, I'm saying what now?" If you look for inuendo, they are remarkably easy to find (especially in battle talk), and if you are overthinking a sexual liason already... well, your subconcious does the work for you. Bless 'im. lol

True. You are indeed wise, young Flammie. *sage nod*

However, public decency laws demanded Shepard stop. (sorry. Bad joke and it's late:mellow:)

Ug, I don't know what would tick me off more:

If Shep is going to be making the ultimate sacrifice at the end of ME3 no matter what...

Or if Shep is forced to make it and that's the "correct/Paragon/right/bright and sunshiny day" ending.

Do. Not. Want.

I really hate stories where the hero has to become a martyr. I'm getting worried that this is where Dresden is going... I really hope ME doesn't follow. I'm stubborn enough to want my happy ending, damn it.

I'm hoping that some of follow up games or games based in the ME 'verse are going to focus on some of the other races (namely turian.) I'm still not sure where they're going with this whole introducing the Raoli...

Garrus and his speech patterns - I think it's just one of those language things... He gets some of the ones he's looked up or overheard (like in Csec or on Omega) and even then... like with the heatsink, he's still learning them, it registers a minute later... wait... Aw crap.

It makes him all that much more endearing. XD

...Suck and blow... oh dear lord INNUENDO ATTACK ARAGAGHAGAH *hides*

Yeah, double entendres are amazingly easy to find, if you put your mind to it.

Yeah, I want more turian. Playable, romanceable, just more turian, dammit. We are going to get more Mass Effect games in that universe, I think, though, so I remain hopeful. Despite my general pessimism.

I'd like a decent ending, not a depressing one for Mass Effect. Also, not too ambiguous (...Tales of the Abyss and all those debates annoy me ¬.¬ (OMG NO IT'S THAT RED HAIR GUY THAT'S THE MAIN CHARACTER AT THE END) (NO IT'S THIS RED HAIR GUY THAT'S REALLY IMPORTANT TO THE STORY TOO, CAN'T YOU SEE))

How would we all react to real life, existing aliens, turians included? I honestly don't know, there's too many different reactions running through my head.

Anyway, it's getting late...

But yeah, seriously, good night, guys. Yeah, I'm a lightweight for sleep.

Night, Flammie. I follow shortly hereafter. Work, and such. Enjoy sleep. *waves*

Poor Garrus. I wonder if Turians even have the concept of 'pets'. Seems like they might find the notion of keeping an adorable little creature in a cage just so you could occasionally play with it a tad silly (them being all no nonsense, military stylee and all).Plus, a hamster might be a bit soft for Turian handling.

"Can't we get a space alligator, Shepard? All the other Turians are laughing at me!"

Edit: my formatting is messed up, y'all. Spaces, much?

I still think Urz would be the best pet ever. All of my Sheps want him on the Normandy. (Mordin could give him his shots. He'd be fine! Really!)

Though I still picture Urz as growling possessively at Garrus whenever he was around Shep... XD

Urz is completely adorable...and he would definitely be an excellent watchdog.

Don't get a space hamster; Grunt would eat him as a snack.

If Grunt smells a delicious space hamster in your room, and the door is locked, he'll use Jacob as a battering ram to break down the door to get to it. LOL XD

Hmmm, are you people 100% sure that it was really headbump? After many times watching that scene seems like they both get closer to each other but don't actually touch and they look to their own  side and then Garrus turns his head a little bit to Shepard, look at her and then touches Shepard hand... I got that feeling first time when I watched it too... I was abit surprised when I came first time in Garrus thread and saw people telling that it was a headbump. This kinda bothered me for a long time. I hope I expressed myself good and that you get it :P. Anyone else here who noticed that? Maybe it is just not very polished scene/animation whatever...

edit: Watch carefully

I am inspiring? Yayness for me! Haha, thanks! There's not much room in the signaturespace, so you can't place a lot of banners in there. I love Garrus, but I somehow wanted to show my support for others too. I figured I could make my own banner. So, hurray! Despite my fondness of the orange visor, Garrus just had to be blue. And I had to get some pink in here, because "I'm Cerrydd Commander Shepard and pink is my favourite colour in the galaxy!".

One thing I thought of but forgot to post earlier this evening... someone mentioned that, because of the reach and flexibility story, turian women serve in the military. If they do that, then how come we don't see any turian females in C-Sec or something? Bioware, do something about it!

lol. Yeah. PLus, it's a fair bet that having grown up on Tuchanka, Urz hasn't exactly been reared to be Turian friendly.

Shepard and Garrus are in her room. Urz is lying on the bed.

Garrus: Can't he sleep outside for a change? He's making me uncomfortable.
Shepard: But he's lovely! Who's a good Varren? Who's a good Varren? You are. Yes you are.
Garrus: Shepard, I'm pretty certain he wants to eat me.
Shepard: Oh, Garrus. Don't be silly. He's harmless. You just don't make the effort to be friendly towards him.

She rubs his belly. Garrus reluctantly tries to scratch him under his chin. Urz bites him.

Garrus: Son of a -
Shepard: See. He likes you. Good boy.
Garrus: I'm sleeping in the main battery tonight. Call me when you run out of crazy.
