It really doesn't have anything to do with Garrus, but it's got me thinking about turians and their religion again.
Nyar.
Need more data.
Btw, anyone else watch Mythbusters? Cause I'm really confused who thought breaking an empty bottle over your head is MORE dangerous than a full beer bottle...
Turian pets... another MYSTERY GAH.
Why do we have pets? I mean, if we can understand why WE have the tendency, maybe we can draw some sort of similar conclusion for turians?

I still think Urz would be the best pet ever. All of my Sheps want him on the Normandy. (Mordin could give him his shots. He'd be fine! Really!)
Though I still picture Urz as growling possessively at Garrus whenever he was around Shep... XD
lol. Yeah. PLus, it's a fair bet that having grown up on Tuchanka, Urz hasn't exactly been reared to be Turian friendly.
Shepard and Garrus are in her room. Urz is lying on the bed.
Garrus: Can't he sleep outside for a change? He's making me uncomfortable.
Shepard: But he's lovely! Who's a good Varren? Who's a good Varren? You are. Yes you are.
Garrus: Shepard, I'm pretty certain he wants to eat me.
Shepard: Oh, Garrus. Don't be silly. He's harmless. You just don't make the effort to be friendly towards him.
She rubs his belly. Garrus reluctantly tries to scratch him under his chin. Urz bites him.
Garrus: Son of a -
Shepard: See. He likes you. Good boy.
Garrus: I'm sleeping in the main battery tonight. Call me when you run out of crazy.
Urz should risk leaving Shepard's room with Kelly around. She's too much of a loving person. Garrus just has to deal with it,

Nah. Garrus is hiding a kitten in the main battery. He's really playing with the kitty when he claims he's calibrating.kglaser wrote...
Pets are for companionship, a friend who's always with you. Someone to comfort you when you're having a crappy day. Are the militaristic turians too staunch to admit to such a need?

Which makes me think they would have pets. But I guess since we know next to nothing of what comes from Palaven, then we can't guess what they look like.Kotori Ky wrote...
Actually, the original pets were domesticated for hunting and protection.
Would they be larger? Smaller? Would they have horses? I know this has come up before... and we had to dismiss it because of no information...
which is frustrating to say the least. : /

That baby turian is so cute!
Shepard: *brings a baby turian onto the Normandy* Don't look at me like that, Garrus. I'm baby-sitting little Shepard for that weapon store owner on the Citadel.
Garrus: So he really did name his kid after you...
Well, didn't they say that the animals on Palaven evolved the same kind of metallic plates as turians? I remember reading that somewhere... I guess it gives us a very vague idea of what they might look like. Also, I imagine turians would train their pets really well, if they have pets. Those pets would follow commands. (Maybe they originally used them as war/work-related animals until they got machines to do all that stuff, kind of like humans.)

Hmmm, are you people 100% sure that it was really headbump? After many times watching that scene seems like they both get closer to each other but don't actually touch and they look to their own side and then Garrus turns his head a little bit to Shepard, look at her and then touches Shepard hand... I got that feeling first time when I watched it too... I was abit surprised when I came first time in Garrus thread and saw people telling that it was a headbump. This kinda bothered me for a long time. I hope I expressed myself good and that you get it. Anyone else here who noticed that? Maybe it is just not very polished scene/animation whatever...
edit: Watch carefully
My honest feeling is that it's a headbump and they just messed it up a little there.
What do others think?
I mean, if it wasn't a headbump the scene just loses so much significance.

....I ADORE world/culture/society building when writing. I actually tend to spend too much time doing that and never get to the actual meat of the story and then wander off to find something else to do, much to my friends' annoyance. I tend to think too far indepth about things, esp in universes as interesting as the ME one.

It pretty much looks like a headbump to me (or: I want to see a headbump in it
But still, it's a headbump for me

It's a head bump. If you look they both touch and stop then there's a fraction of movement when they're like readjusting...kglaser wrote...

@Xelana I csn't say I have noticed. Interesting. I have to go to bed now, but as soon as I'm out of work, I will go romance him and let you know if I concur! Whatever they did, I'm sure they weren't in that position for long. lol
Shepard and Garrus headbump. Look into each others eyes. He touches her arm, she caresses his scarred face.
Garrus: Now what?
Shepard: I don't know. I was kind of hoping at some point you'd take the lead. To be honest, I never had time to watch the vids.
Garrus: Oh. Well, Mordin drew me a diagram. I think I have it here somewhere.
He fumbles for the bit of paper.
Shepard: Cool.I think maybe I'll turn this music back on while you do that. And can I open the wine?
Garrus: Got it!
Shepard: Let me see? Oh. OK... so how do we -? Ah.
Garrus: My thoughts exactly.
Edit: Sorry. Netbook keyboard is tiny and new. Typing fail!

If you look closely you can see Garrus's head moving right through... ah, what's the English word... well, a piece of her hair that's sticking out.

Now we're all going to watch the scene over and over until we know for sure what's going on. xD
