What pisses me off is that they have a tali action figure which they are coming up with, and they are not going to make a garrus action figure. What is bioware doing, trolling the garrus fans?

Naaaah they are just doing the figures in groups.  I'm betting they'll get to Garrus eventually, as long as the figures don't bomb.  Which I'm pretty sure they won't, seeing as how last I checked they were already sold out of Tali.

Garrus, Legion, Mordin, and Miranda are the second wave of figures. Preordering starts in August, they ship by Christmas. Unless you heard the second wave has been cancelled or something? I haven't heard anything like that...

edit: what the--it changed back?! Really weird...no fooling, my 'standard post' section' has looked something like this for the last few weeks...I never use emoticons, so maybe it glitched and got stuck or something? Dang, using the stupid emoticon seems to have fixed it. A bit of unexpected Garrus made certain posts more bearable...

Quoting myself since it got crammed at the bottom of the page, and I'm really confused here. Am I the only one this happened to? Nobody else has had a mystery Garrus emoticon?

It might just be a browser/temp file mess up. It occasionally happens. :]

But, wow, thanks posting for that interview link, steph. I've been curious since I'm starting to play around with Z-brush. Christ, man, I'm envious how those modelers could spend so much time on the details, it's amazing. +.+

Anyhow...I should contribute something Garrus related...well, I only made a doodle with Garrus in it, sorta. :0
The Sniping Totem Pole

Maybe, I'll get around to coloring it if school projects don't give me a sadface. :[

Shepard: So Garrus, tell me how you managed to survive for so long against the mercs.
Garrus: I conjured my own food and water.
Shepard: :huh: Are you a wizard.
Garrus: Yes, yes I am.

I wish I could go into Garrus fangirl mode and say "that's awesome" or something...but since it's just you that it's happening to, it's SCARY *SS SH*T.

You should have said "that's why he looks so shocked!" or something. A lie is just a great story that someone ruined with the truth, after all.

I always save the scouter for last. It's especially easier to deal with when you treat it as a separate part from the rest of the picture, imo.

Hmm... when you join a conversation late, everything's already been said worth saying.

Eh, Garrus is awesome

And thank you very much Flammie but that was yours truly with the Pokemon thing. {smilie} Extra boot camp for you for the infraction!

Well, sorry about that, madam(!)

Alcohol indeed.  If there were ever a
Bioware convention (needs to happen. I mean it.)  and we all met, it
would be a requirement that we go out and get drunk afterwards.
(Probably slurring, "Heeeeey...I brought wiiiiine" at each other all
night.)

That would be beyond awesome. Though I probably would be the strangest one/one that sticks out most.

"Hey, what's that kid doing with all those women?"
"I dunno, a son?"
"He looks nothing like them! And they're drunk!"
"Adoption?"

I'd save up and go to that for the sole reason of going out drinking with fellow Garrus fans. XD It would be HILARIOUS.{smilie}

It would be both simulantious win and lol!

But then we'd probably get 'escorted' from the various bars for creeping people out. {smilie}

If any of you are ever in Liverpool, do PM me.

I'll keep that in mind *creepy laugh*

Woops, stereo still on.

It's OK, though. 'Cos Flammie will just keep drinking until he snaps back into soberiety.

(real life works liek that too, right? We didn't just get a minor rat-arsed?{smilie})

Oh crap, I'm laughing so hard XD

...Aren't I always in a hula skirt?

Flammie: If she didn't keep posting everytime she thought of something, maybe I wouldn't be in this mess. I have no idea where that logic came from, but still. I shouldn't have touched that ominous swirly drink.

Ray Joel Oh wrote...

Flammie doesn't get to drink. He is there to sit uncomfortably while we shame ourselves.

Whilst I secretly drink diet coke I've spiked with my secret stash of martini. And somehow remain sober.

Oh man, I love you guys so much. That description of a potential Garrus fangirls (and boy :P) meeting is hilarious. "Heeeeyyy, I brought wine" would probably be used a thousand times hahahahaha. But of course, when you're handing Flammie his drink, it will be "Heeeeeyyy, I brought liquid sugar light." Too bad the US is too far away. You should come here. We have weed and hookers you know. :kissing:

@silentstephi: Yes, is that what I think in the Kaidan panel? Or is my mind too dirrty? Hah. Also, thanks for that interesting art article.

I'm still sticking to the idea of Garrus not being aware of his feelings for Shepard/not actually falling for her until the middle of ME2 theory, so I don't really want to see anything regarding the Normandy attack in Romance dialogue. Feels kinda cheesy to me.  (OPINION OPINION OPINION, not knocking on anybody who likes this!)

That's not to say that Tali and Garrus didn't go through something terrible to lose their friend/mentor/commander like that, but while Tali would be like "OMG NOOOO Now I'm never gonna hit that!"  My headcanon Garrus would only experience the loss of a friend and mentor.  Enough to hurt him quite a bit, but not in the Love Interest, "MY WORLD ENDED WHEN YOUR LIFE DID OMG thing"

I realize this might not be a popular view of it, so again: OPINION OPINION OPINION.  (opinion doesn't look like a word anymore.)

You know it just doesn't make sense any other way...I mean when you approach him about blowing off steam, I GUESS he could just be talking about sex and sex only when he "never considered cross-species intercourse" but that leads me to believe that he never thought about Shepard in a romantical type way ever. I think his feelings start to hit him when he tells Shep to find something closer to home.

A line about the attack could be plausible but only if he talks about what it was like to lose his friend and respected CO. Do not want cheese from Garrus EVAR.

Which reminds me, if I read one more misleading starts-out-great piece of sugar-crusted fanfic that just drips with Garrus "OMS I've always lurved u shepard! HURR!" I will pawnch a mofo. *insert Saren tantrum*

Meh...Found out Peter Steele died and it made me cranky....

I'm actually trying very VERY hard to avoid that, because I agree, I think it sneaks up on them both.   Course, it's easier to do when sticking to a first person Shepard POV, but still.  I can read those others and appreciate the writing in them, but I don't agree with the idea that he's had acknowledged and conscious feelings for her for a long time.

@moonboots Garrus IS a wizard.

@soltana Let me know if he's worth sitting through that for. (I mean, obviously, the man is awesome but I don't know if I want to be mixing Garrus in my mind with a talking dog movie. lol. Also, you'd be amazed how often he's cast in parts that don't let him speak. :( )

@sialater. I know exactly what you mean. I've been owrking on a fic for a couple of weeks which has multiple POVs, and while I want the relationship to be aknowledged, it's not all about the relationship, and every time I write Garrus or Shep POV then I feel like I'm walking a very narrow line. Fan fiction is hard! (never written it before, and I don't mind admitting, it's kicking my ass!) But I agree. I don't think Garrus ever looked at Shepard in that way until she put sex on the table. And I think that only once the sex was put out there, Garrus began to reassess his feelings for her, and she for him. I think that the respect and admiration for her, however, has been there for a while. It's making the distinction between that admiration and friendship, and an actual romantic attraction. (And let's face it, some people have a problem doing that with real life as well. lol)

@Cerrydd - Love the motivationals! lol. Part of me likes to think that BW ggave the Normandy a bar, just for us. XD
