They aren't enough to kill you with one shot from full shields though.

I just have to wonder what privacy and personal space are like in the future. The Dark Star had co-ed, co-species restrooms, the Normandy has waist-high walls between toilets, everyone's barging into your quarters to tell you how they feel...
Though, I always got the impression that you'd invited the love interest up to your room in that last case, and were expecting them; I have a lot of trouble believing that Garrus bought wine and casual clothes and stormed upstairs two hours before the FINAL COUNTDOWN on the off chance Shep wasn't busy cleaning weapons or something.
(welp, off to my weekly DND, wish my dice luck!)

Dantiwa - That picture is looking smashing! Boots is on to something thar...
And Sia, you mentioned using the Booth and Bones model... and now all I can think of is my FemShep/Thane ship would be a Mary and Marshall kinda deal. (Garrus isn't quite so deep as Marshall.)
XD
Mary & Marshall?

I am so incredibly jealous of you right now. I moved 2 years ago away from my gaming group of 7 years and haven't played since. I miss my GURPS character... /wail
Okay, back to my attempt at an Insanity game before I try to draw for that meme. /sigh

Well she asks "When should I book the cabin?". I assume that means she's expecting Garrus.enormousmoonboots wrote...

Good luck, dice.
And about the toilets... Those doors are huuuge and cover the entire side of the bathroom, if someone wants to go to the bathroom and someone else is already in there it's pretty awkward if a third person walks by as you're going in. Maybe there's some sort of biotic censorship field system in the future that covers your privates. :B I mean those doors are huuuge, and they take a while to close.

With Garrus, you already know he wants to "share a moment" with Shepard right before the Normandy passes through the Omega 4 relay, so him coming into your room is not completely unexpected. It's still Garrus-y for him not to knock first, though. He was probably so nervous he just used Overload on Shepard's door. Or Shepard just gave him the door code off-screen.
But who cares about knocking when there are heat sinks to pop!? Lol, j/k.

Ugh, I lack the confidence or power to even hold my own in a discussion, I applaud all those who can do and say something in these threads and not back down.
Hope you're having good luck and fun, enormousmoonboots. I'll try to get Persona 4 soon.
Gamer parents are pretty awesome. The three I know of in this thread have some awesome stories.

I assume they're more "Massive impact, no penetration", which doesn't mean they can't cause damage or kill, it depends on their use, and how skillfully it's used. I can see the blunt trauma killing somebody, or knocking them out. Or making it impossible for them to have kids.

Well, you could consider concussive rounds being lethal if you are hit by them consecutively especially in sensitive areas or if combined with other attacks. In any case, Garrus obviously wasn't aiming for any of Shep's sensitive areas. (yet)
Ugh. Now I have horrid imagery of skulls getting crushed by concussive rounds. Head shots aren't cruel enough - gotta make it concussive.
...but...yeah. Kids: They're intended for disabling or incapping your target.

Awesome to hear that someone else's kid said the same thing! I take Garrus almost everywhere, so she likes seeing him.
My DD didn't make the cat-like connection, but she did on her own decide that Garrus was "handsome."
I agree that privacy may well have gone the way of the dodo in the future- society is much more open now than it has been in the past, so I'm into the idea that people may be more nonchalant about things like that in ME-'verse. And Shep was probably expecting Garrus that night, but maybe not exactly the time- hence the suddenly showing up. I like the suggestion someone gave that he was waiting outside for her to be done with her shower.
Yeesh- Kasumi has me saying "Shep" all of the time now.

Coolio. Just wondered (fic and such... if it ever stops sucking long enough to finish).
@Flammie. The stance I always take is this: it's just the internet, no need to get so serious. I enjoy discussions, even heated debate, as long as people keep it in perspective. But, being the internets, you have to be prepared for idiots to bludgeon you with opinion as fact. When that happens, just be like 'Chillax'. lol Remember, kids: the internet can only hurt you if you believe in it's powers! (or, if you accidently find urself on the receiving end of embarassing camera footage...)
The thread has slowed right down compared to yesterday's 50 pages. Have we run out of Garrus?
Anyone follow the twitter roleplayers. I don't, but I dip into their feeds from time to time. Can't quite work out what's up with Garrus/ Tali there. Their history from ME1 a side point, there isn;t really any indication that they are really that close, yet everybody seems to want to pair them up...

Eh, I know all the "internet isn't serious" "don't be so offended, it's just the internet" stuff, but words can still be twisted to many effects, and even in real life I find myself submitting a lot.
Concussive shots can be used in a lot more twisted ways, I'd imagine. High impact can cause some of the same effects as normal penetration, as well as many more, I'd imagine.
Oh, I'm pretty sure Garrus aims for Shepard's sensitive area when he wants to speed her up, unsure if his rounds penetrate or actually break her shields, but I'm certain it's a high impact. (Yeah, I'm real mature, too).
And hey, that's a generous compliment to kids, I can't disable a target.

janeym27, I think there's just less people online right now. It's a Friday, after all.
And, to be fair, I didn't do the one in the second paragraph on purpose. But heh.
I'm sure when Garrus shoots at Shepard, he tries not to knock her out, even with high impact. But, you know, give her a bit of a shock and get her going. It's better than her falling asleep in the middle of the mission.
