Harbringer says 'Assuming DIRECT Control'.

Rocking Garrus and Kasumi absolutely DESTROYS the Blue Suns on missions where you primarily fight them. Double Overload rips shields and mechs to bits, Concussive Shot and Flashbang Grenade are great area of effect knockback shots to stun and damage enemies, and Kasumi's Shadow Strike is hilariously broken in how overpowered it is. Kick in with Squad Armor Piercing Ammo from Garrus and you just tear things apart, it's almost not fair.

Besides that, I think from just a gameplay standpoint, even without his general awesomeness not taken into account, Garrus is really one of if not the best squad mate to use ALL the time. Assault rifle and sniper are great squad mate weapons given their accuracy in henchman hands, and like previously stated Garrus' abilities are very well-rounded and effective in lots of situations. Even if Overload isn't so great all the time, Concussive Shot and AP ammo are almost always effective, especially against Collectors. Plus he's got pretty good health and shields too, moreso if you boost his Turian Rebel stat.

And then of course Garrus is just dreamy anyway, so all the more reason to use him.

I've read all of them already.   (Does that mean I read copious amounts of GarrusPorn?!) Oh man.  Me from a year ago WOULD NOT APPROVE OF MY SHENANIGANS.
