I can still play rhythm games (...I love Ouendan...) and some other games without being ruined by lack of Garrus... you guys are like a patch before I can get the actual drug. Mass Effect 2 was actually my first Bioware game... though I think my brother played Baldur's Gate...

I had Morrowind, but I ended up uninstalling it because I'm too damn indecisive ¬.¬

Well, I've really got to be getting to bed earlier. This is not a good way to lead up to the return to school when I've been staying up insanely late talking about Garrus for the past two weeks.
Tell your teacher that you shouldn't have to do homework because Garrus.
I've done most of my homework, now it's just revision (that I didn't do). I love that the only major commitment I have is to this thread, and I'm not majorly obligated to it.

Curious... course, I doubt my parents will give me an extra hour, even with the "I had an hour nap already" argument. Still, curious.

You should make a shotglass and write "Savor the last shot" on it. And Garrus face on the other side. XD
Dude.
Someday, somehow, this is gettin' done.  (Not the face.  My stenciling
abilities=NOT THAT GOOD.  Or. Nonexistent, actually.)

I've saved Nissun's turian stencil if you want me to get it up again (*sigh* I wonder where she went...)

Garrus goes on almost every single mission with me. He just does. Regardless of the class I'm playing, he's useful. :3
Yeah,
I always use him, regardless. I don't think his shields or health are
actually that impressive, even in heavy armour, though. Even the wiki
says he's not exactly durable. Which is why I give him a sniper rifle
and generally I order him to take cover behind me.

Gaaaah these pages take so long to load when you're browsing at 56kbps! The full submit post page won't load, so no emotes for Chimer :( Thanks to the Kasumi DLC I ran over my bandwidth limit a week early >.<

I regret nothing. And hey, I can leave my computer to download 24/7 now, since it's unlimited at this speed! I'm downloading ReBoot. Anyone remember that?

Kasumi comes up as “Assuming” on spell check!

I learned something new today! Apparently Eskimos and the Maori rub noses and touch foreheads as a sign of affection.

I've never been drunk in my life. C-C-C-Combo breaker! But then I'm underage (only 17. One more year before I'm legal down here in Aus). Flammie and I can drink something sugary while you all get drunk ;P

Mentioning Oblivion has made me want to play it again. It doesn't help that Lucien Lachance is on my list of top 5 sexiest voices. (Garrus is #1, of course). But...to do that I'd have to re-download all my mods (installing an OMOD removed all my textures, and since I didn't know that could happen I didn't have them backed up. I know better now.) After playing with FCOM, I don't think I could play it any other way.

Ahhh, Morrowind. That was my first RPG! It confused the hell out of me at first, due to the horrible journal system. Once I got into it, I loved it! The main plot was great (but the only other quests that were worthwhile were the Great Houses, IMO), it's a shame that it was so hard to get into.

I wonder when they'll announce TESV. Probably after the second book. The first one was....pretty boring. I won't go into detail, but I would not suggest buying it.

Sorry if I'm not making sense. I have post-con fatigue. I am sad to announce that there was a disturbing lack of Garrus at the convention! (A disturbing lack of anything other than anime, really. It's supposed to be anime/scifi/games/comics!) But I got to meet Mary McDonnel (President Laura Roslin), Karl Urban (the new Bones McCoy, Éomer) and JAMES MARSTERS! (#2 on my list of sexiest voices. With the Dresden Files audio books, I couldn't focus on the story because I was too busy swooning XD)

...and then I get home to find out my paternal grandmother is dead. I'm just glad that it's not my maternal grandmother – does that make me a bad person? :/

This post needs more Garrus. To quote Flammie:

But, Garrus. Garrus, but. Garrus' butt.

Something in that art article I posted ten or so pages back that has me worried though is this:

What are your main goals for 3? Where do you feel you'll have to focus in order to top what you achieved with 2?

Jaemus Wurzbach – Lead Character Artist:
It’s hard to say right now. Until we get the general story bolted down it’s hard to say where to focus our attention. I’m sure the party will be a huge focus, and I’d like to see as big of a jump in quality from 2 to 3 as we made from 1 to 2.

The bold sentence is what worries me.
What do you mean the ME3 story isn't bolted down? I mean... you guys should have had this planned out since the end of ME1... I... /worry... Does this mean we won't see the last game until 2012? I don't know if I can WAIT that long T.T

This... this displeases me. And worries me. I had assumed that they had a 3 game arc already planned, since they knew they were making a trilogy. Curious...

On the other hand, maybe they'll heed the Garrus love, now! lol

Yeah... I've done that. Then he doesn't sound Garrusy and it makes you sad. lol (now, a mod to replace your character's voice with Mr Keener yelling 'Impressive', etc... I could get on board with that!)

I swear. ALL the games in my inventory are suffering from a lack of Garrus. I have yet to complete Fallout3, but each new ME2 game I begin makes this prospect less and less likley.

Ssigh. My housemate is back form her holiday tomorrow, so no more hogging the consoles to play Garrus awesome all evening.

How is everyone feeling after wine? :P

@Chimervera Karl Urban is teh rawksor. I used to love him back in the days of Xena. But James Marsters?! Nice one. My best convention meet so far has been Sylvestor McCoy (I'm a classic Who nerd, and he is my fave!) and Nathan Fillion. I haven't been to one in years though... (Saving up for ComicCon. Might plan to go in 2012, to meet the ME3 hype! :D)

Re: 2 year wait for ME3 - it's going to be hard, but I'd rather they took their time and did things right, than rushed the game out early to satiate our desire, only for it to be half-assed and feel incomplete. I'm hoping that between then and now we will get a staggered release of more DLC missions, and maybe an expansion pack or 2. The open universe after O-4 would lend itself to that very well, and I'm hoping this is why they've left it that way. I just wish they'd give us a bit of a timetable for the next DLC, even if it's not til like September or something. Hopefully with lots of Garrus-related awesome! :wizard:

And I wouldn't worry about the end of the world: that's December 2012, so with any luck they'll have the game out by then. Also, I have stipulated to my mates that if I die before ME3, one of them has to play my main FemShep through to the end at least once - she and Garrus need to ride the storm out together! (Morbid? Moi? Nah. Just a little crazy. ;))

I just love you.  All you people.  You're such geeks and I love you.  Now give me a hug.  I can't have the cookies.  I won't fit into the female scout turian cosplay.

I vote that we are the best thread ever, because we have cookies, Garrus, and wine.  Not in that order, mind you.

(BTW has anyone seen 'The Guild'?  It's a group of online games.  There's an episode where the main character throws a party and makes sword and staff cookies.)

I haven't been to a convention... nor do I know very many figures, actually.

I kept remaking character after character until I gave up and uninstalled Morrowind... I didn't even complete the first ruin.

You can plan on making a trilogy, but only cross each bridge when you get there, I think. It's not as reassuring as having the three games fully mapped when you start off, but it's still plausible that they can get it done and make an excellent game out of it.

Chimervera wrote...

All you need is for Goto to come up as "Direct Control" on spell check.

I remember making a joke that London 2012 Olympics would cause the end of the world. Pretty poor, but eh.

I'm trying to plan on not being dead by ME3, though. Wikipedia-ing Bioware says ME3 is being planned for 2011/2012.

This is the thing...maybe it gives them more time to sift through what the fans really want.  There's copious proof that BioWare pays a LOT of attention to what we all say.

also:

Re: 2 year wait for ME3 - it's going to be hard, but I'd rather they

This sums up how I've come to think of the Garrus romance in the game.  Sure, we were upset they didn't have the option in ME1, but the way they're handling it gives it the potential to feel more complete.  More real.

Hi Angry :) No hangover here, but a wineglass got knocked off the desk this morning, unfortunately with a little wine in it. The glass broke and the wine was red, so a bit of a mess, but it's not like my house was immaculate anyway. LOL

Anyway, Garrus. <3

No hangover, but I did sleep in crazy late. Mind you, that might have been the 5am moreso than the wine. lol

We should make that a regular Friday night thing... (is that sad? Nah!)

Remember, kids: Garrus brings wine, so any wine-related discussion is on topic! :wizard:

edit: @Jackalope. I love The Guild! Turns out, Felicia Day (who is my hero) is a big ME fan as well.

Hmm. I hope those having booze last night don't wake up too hungover. :P

kglaser: You're right. Isn't that how Blasto came about? I like to think they have at least a few of these mods check our threads or even just the first pages on occassion, not just to glare us into staying on-topic but to check the "fan-pulse". They would see that, while not as horrendously long as other fan threads, there (usually....) are much more in-depth discussions and speculation here.
