MY. NEW. BANNER.

Thanks!!

A succint, playful jab at the other LI's while at the same time summing up the spirit of the Garrus romance beautifully....Xsause, you win an Internet.

Seriously, are they really gonna sideline Garrus in ME3 after all of -that-? I like to think we have a Garrus champion or two among the BW devs....

Must be. Otherwise Garrus wouldn't be so cool. And someone had to be listening to the forums for the Garrus romance to be implemented. And if they aren't putting covering their ears, they should also know that the fans want their favorite characters back.

I'm not overly partial to pink. I don't hate it, and I don't love it. Not something I'd like to be seen in public, but eh.

I'm not alcoholic, either. I like the message, but I'm not sure of the implications behind using it.

Maybe the "calibrated into my heart" in blue? Blue for Garrus, and the message is quite sweet.

YOU.  I REMEMBER YOU FROM THE "Garrus should not have been an LI" comment!  SCOWLING AT YOU.

Though you're right, so totally Atton.  Awmahgawd I wish he had been in a non-broken game.

Yeah, I know. I apologize, I still think so though. But you know what, it's made a lot of fangirls happy and it didn't ruin Garrus in personality. I guess I should really say, that it was a big risk to make him a love interest. Tali liking MaleShep somehow seems more believable then Garrus liking FemShep to me.  When I first played ME2, I went after him just to see how far it actually went and if BioWare would wreck Garrus to fulfill a bunch of fangirl wishes. I was pleasantly surprised they kept true to his character and in fact developed his character believably.

I'm just never going to do it again, do to the fact I think of him too much of a brother then a LI and the awkwardness is unbearable and his FACE SCARES THE CRAP OUT OF ME NOW (I have a friend that sends me extreme close ups of the scared side of his face just to make me jump).

Plus there's the whole food thing. The idea of not being able to mooch off my guys french fries because it might kill me is very depressing.

Though admitly, I want to give him a big ol' hug and tell him everything is going to be okay. I just probably won't look him in the eye while doing it.

I understand where you were coming from, Lucky...you were just afraid they'd mess up his character in the process. That means you cared enough about him to say something, which is cool. :)

Wow, that first poll's results are...impressive. Image IPB

Indeed. I think that, while my threats to not purchase ME3 are fairly hollow (I do need to know how it turns out, after all...never been one to walk away from a compelling story), I know my heart wouldn't be in it if my favorite feature of the whole franchise was diminished in capacity.

Please don't call me that, Xsause. Even if sincere, it doesn't sound good.

Ah, I understand what you mean by that, Lucky Thirteen, and I can see the concerns. Well, we all love Garrus, but it's good to hear opinions and such.

Wow, those results of the polls are quite impressive.

...Wonderful. Now I don't know what to use. Thanks a lot, kglaser. Both sarcastic and grateful thanks.

...Or I could use both.

I honestly don't think I'd purchase the game if my favorite characters aren't back. For me, the Reapers are as interesting as watching paint dry. Saren was much more interesting, the Reapers are basically the "moustache twirling" villains who announce their plans to the hero pridefully and gloat of their superior intelligence. It's funny because I went into the first ME for the RPG elements, but now I wouldn't even play the game if the characters from ME2 are all sidelined. But it seem like I need worry about that completely:
(from a gameinformer interview, Casey Hudson speaking)

You will definitely be able to see characters from ME2 in ME3, as long
as they're alive in the end of your story. It's a challenge for sure,
but it's also going to be a huge payoff for players of the Mass Effect
trilogy to see what happens with all these characters and storylines
started by the first two games.

Sorry, Flammie.

If you've got any new ideas for another "PROUD MEMBER OF CLAN VAKARIAN" sig, just let me know and I'll make it for you. I'm having a blast making them so far.

Ah, it's alright. I'm just not fond of these empowering names and such. That statement actually sounded quite mean, so sorry about that.

I think I'll stick around with the He brought wine, actually, sorry for making you recolour the other one... hopefully a kind soul will use it and not make your efforts a waste.

S*** S*** S***!!! WHAT THE S*** IS THIS S***!? ' Standalone experience' in the last part of an EPIC trilogy!? S***!!!
guess i can kiss my dreamy and lovely LI ending with Garrus goodbye :crying: got a hunch that LI(Garrus) wont get much scenes in ME3, maybe we will just get a 'headrub' and then fade to black this time in ME3:( Crap...BW better don't that or there will be blood. I totaly expect something more...wild and intimate this time. Something like the pounce move that pulled off by Tali...only this time its half naked(something like Miranda in her love scene) Shepard on half/almost fully naked Garrus:devil:

I think we've explained the whole standalone thing, Brian. It just means new players will be able to understand the story and get a satisfactory ending, I'd wager.

Ok this mollifies me, somewhat.

I have like 5 seconds before I have to race back to work. ACK!
Btw, pink is still evil, Purple rules the world. :P
But Blue is Garrus's color of AWESOME.

I agree that it was a big risk (don't anybody dare), and I'm glad it's worked out so well (imho).  I'm very wary of fanservice in principle.  If they hadn't had him as an LI, I'm sure the fan community would have been fine going right on ahead and continuing to swoon over him regardless.  It is pretty amazing to me though that they actually went through with it.  This is definitely among the strangest infatuations I've had, and God bless them for indulging me.

As to the difficult mechanics of the relationship, I think it's part of the charm.  There's been plenty of scifi about people working out such extreme differences.  And incidentally, I am friends with a family with one daughter who is a vegetarian and another daughter who is allergic to soy.  Non-compatible diets don't have to tear people apart!

The most important thing regarding fanservice is that they don't assassinate the character while doing so. I don't think Garrus was negatively changed, so that's that really.

ARGH ALCOHOLIC GARRUS SIGBAR WANT.  :o  Why oh why can't I have more sig space?! (because bioware knows I'd fill it with 10 different obnoxious flashing banners.)

Also,
