Am I the only one who doesn't like the Garrus lithograph? It's not that it's *bad*, it just doesn't look like Garrus to me. His chin is way too big. And the helmet+lighting+large metallic objects kind of gives my mind the impression he's a mechanic for the first nanosecond before I realize, oh, no, right....
What Gerse1 said. It looks like some random turian welder guy at work to me. OTOH at least we have merch this time around.

My renegade Shepard is a Spacer/Sole Survivor, and she's a petulant child most of the time. Sometimes she uses her head, but mostly she just likes violence. Akuze broke something inside of her. The only time she consistently uses her head is when Liara is involved, because despite her shallow and bratty personality, she fell in love with Liara. She's staying true to her. Dying also tempered her sharp edges somewhat, and she mistrusts Cerberus.
And My Xbox Shepard is Earthborn/Ruthless. She's seen humanity at its worst, and is prepared to do what has to be done to complete the mission. Or, at least, she was prepared to do what had to be done... until she fell for Kaidan. His level-headed maturity made her strive to be a better person, and she's taking her death as a new lease on life, trying to make up for the wrongs she commited in the past. She realized she had considerable patience when she decided to wait for Kaidan.
On the topic of finding turians attractive, they're not sexually appealing to me. They're cool looking badass mofos with sexy voices, but I wouldn't jump one. I don't like Garrus because he's a turian, I like Garrus because he's Garrus. A steadfast friend, a polarizing influence, someone I can count on time and time again without fail. Sex is only one part of a relationship, and I'm sure Shepard and Garrus could find ways to make it enjoyable even with the differences in anatomy. It's the time you spend out of the bedroom that makes up most of your relationship, and when your lover is also your best friend, that makes it much easier to settle into a long-term thing.

...How do Turians sleep?
This is posed from a psuedo-science pov but I was thinking that, based on the concept art, it's pretty unlikely that Turians would lay on their backs, between the fringe, the spikes on the backs of the legs and the collar it would be uncomfortable, right (post-mission bed cuddle not-withstanding)? So do they sleep on their fronts and rest their heads flat out like dogs (cutest mental image ever) or, the most likely answer I can think of, do you think they sleep standing up?
This is driving me nuts...

RE sleeping: I think on their sides. But hey they might actually be comfortable on their backs, we don't know.

Why does everyone seem to hate Kelly, or at least cast aspersions about her sex life? A guy does what she does and he's self-confident, smooth with the laides, heck, 'stud' isn't even a bad word. We talk cheerfully about Garrus being Kelly's level of comfortable with his sex, his sexuality and his existance as a sexual being.
HELLO, Big Odd Tree alert!
I remember being told as a child that women could not be prime minister or president, because it was a man's job - and then we saw Golda Meir and (*twitchy reaction*) Margaret Thatcher.
It just bugs me that because Kelly is comfortable with her sex, sexuality and existance as a sexual being, people bash her. She backed away from Garrus and said we'd be such a cute couple when I said "Yeah about that - MINE"! She is a good and true friend and BioWare pissed me off when she got liquidated. (Yeah, I went back and changed that nonsense!) And not to put a fine point on it, but it gets brought up about how all the LIs pretty much want Shep to fix their problems - Kelly is the one who asks Shep how s/he is doing after Horizon and such.
I'm not trying to change minds about Kelly, just trying to point out that if the hate comes from her perceived promiscuity, that's pretty silly.

It does seem like it would be uncomfortable. Birds tend to sleep standing up (at least mine does), so I wonder if turians do too... He probably enjoys those pods, if that's the case.dunefarble wrote...

I have no problem with Kelly's extracurricular activities. I think it's awesome she's in control of her life and sexuality. Not many people are willing to admit so freely what she does. I admire and respect that about her. I believe that everyone should be more open sexually and if I wasn't so suspicious of her she'd be one of my female buddies on the ship.
I just don't like her. There is something that is off about her. She's way too nice and she observes people without directly being a psychologist about it. It bothers me, it makes me think she is constantly evaluating me and always sending personal info to TIM. It's my paranoia at work, nothing more.

Ref. Kelly - I don't hate her. My first knee-jerk response, though, was "Ugh, I don't need more female eye-candy on my ship". Also, I have bad feelings regarding her inclusion ever since rumors started floating around teh internets that Ken Donnelly (Scottish engineering guy) was initially intended to be a similar romance for FemSheps but was unfortunately cut. Except, ya know, (cue Kanye West:) BIOWARE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT LADY GAMERS.

I don't think it's so much hate as people just joking around. I don't like the idea of equating her apparent promiscuity (however blown out of preportion) with some feminist, 'women can be presidents too' attitude. It's not because she's a woman, it's just because she's a flirt.Ms Cherissa wrote...

I dislike the double-standard as much as anyone (I hate the idea that it's encouraged for men to sleep around, even if they're in a committed relationship), and I don't really like the idea of Garrus sleeping around. We cheerfully talk about him being comfortable with -FemShep-, because she's the main character and the character we want him with. At the same time, everyone is horrified that he might be approaching FemShep casually. Personally, I'm just not the kind of person that agrees with casual sex. I give Garrus some leeway for his indiscretions because (aside from being an entirely different species thus having different cultural norms), he's Garrus. He could kick puppies and I'd be all, "Oh, that Garrus!"
That said, I don't hate Kelly at all. I just see it as more of a running gag, and it's funny.

Oh, wait, turians are raptor-like, not bird-like. xD
Also, the mental image of a sleeping turian is *adorable*. I approve.
@koucha: Watched. :3 Your work is awesome.
Re: Kelly: I don't hate her - I actually think she's very sweet, though in my Shepard's mind, the initial thing to think was, "Oh, sheet, a Cerberus crew member with psychoanalysis? INSTA-DISTRUST." Eventually, she grew to appreciate her and the rest of the crew because they were her crew, not TIM's.
But I really think it's just funny. I don't actually think she'll fudge with anything and anyone, but it's just...funny.
As for Garrus, I don't think he's "I'm awesome and can sleep with anyone"... I think he's mostly comfortable, but not really one to go around with random women. That's Sheploo's job. Or maybe it's just me being a wishful thinker... After all, he was adorably nervous with Shep, though that could, in part, be attributed to her being human (though it's just as much due to the fact that he respects her, etc. etc. etc. fangirlish things etc.)
Edit: Also, what Aris said. I tipe slou lawl.

Speaking of WIPs ... Did you ever finish the pictar you were working on, Ravenstar? If so I can't find it.Yeah, I know it's a little caveman, but I can't help it, I love that kind of thing. Of course FemShep would be totally appalled at the insinuation and try to peacemake between the two, as is her character, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to see it. Hey, if guys can get catfights.. xDSialater wrote...
I don't actually want Garrus to defend Shepard, even if he did on Horizon. Shep's a big girl, she can throw Kaiden biotically all by herself. Or punch him, or whatever. While the sentiment is nice, Shep doesn't need a man of any species to stand up for her honor.
RE: Lithograph: Although I don't like the lithograph that much (boo, ManShep! Also, Garrus doesn't have his tatts, and seems to have scarring despite it being from the Archangel mission...?), I considered buying one just because it's Garrus, but seeing as they're sold out now... is anyone else giddy that Garrus is the only one sold out? Go Garrus!
*Edited for formatting.. ugh*

That and we have to remember that Garrus and Shep. do have a history. He could've had feelings for Shep. and never said anything until she brought it up herself.
Personally, even though I see sex as a special experience I also am aware of its benefits on someone's self-esteem and other things. I personally couldn't do casual sex because I know I would rather have an emotional connection with someone before going that far, but I have no problem with people who do it responsibly.
I have as much problem with men who sleep around and are disrespectful to themselves as well as those they sleep with, as I do women.
Again, my distaste from Kelly was never the sex thing. i just don't like her.

I brought this up to my boyfriend. Guys will easily fall for the sweet girl act, and girls know this. We can be all sweet and innocent to get what we want and it works most of the time. I've broken many strong willed men with the sweet puppy dog look. Also, I find since I look sweet and innocent I don't get asked for my ID when I go to certain places where they might require one. Unless of course there is a woman at the front desk. We women are onto the tricks. Women are less likely to give leeway to another woman.
Example: I went to register my daughter for kindergarten. Twice I went to her school and there was a male guard up front. He never asked me for ID, I didn't even know any was required. I just flashed a smile and spoke softly. Yesterday, my boyfriend goes to hand in a paper and he gets asked for an ID. He didn't have one so he left. When I went back today there was a female guard and right away she asked for an ID.
So with the above information: I don't trust Kelly because I'm onto her.

It's weird, because I usually am at least a little suspicious of the 'sweet' girls. I think she just came off as very genuine to me. ...Which makes her all the more devious, now that I'm onto her! >_>
